A point to consider. Do police actually have ANY jurisdiction inside a prison? I don't think they do. In which case, whilst she'd be allowed in, I'm not sure she'd be allowed to just barge through and take Ellie. Not without the proper paperwork.
[/ QUOTE ]
She can't just take her out. She can, as part of an on-going investigation, take Ellie anywhere within the prison she likes for interrogation purposes.
[ QUOTE ]
She might get to the gates by 8:18, but it could easily take a lot longer to get to Ellie.
[/ QUOTE ]
You're assuming she's leaving that to chance and that she's a typical police officer. No one has ever asked about Section 19. Not once.
[ QUOTE ]
*Sticks a jobsworth prison guard in her way*
[/ QUOTE ]
He wouldn't even see her. She'd walk right past him. -

[ QUOTE ]
Hmm... You've managed to reign her in before, so I'm sure you can do it again.
Perhaps it would be best if, on her arrival, she joins Zori with trying to talk Ellie into a safer place?
[/ QUOTE ]
You're right, I'll likely reign her in during life RP, and with Zori there, she'd be more likely to keep her cool.
[/ QUOTE ]
Of course, with her there, the situation has zero threat. Ellie is in no danger, absolutely none. -
I know how much I did spend on gym subs I didn't use, and I also know that gym I was subscribed to was very cheap. And it probably came to way more that Z is talking about, in only one year.

The best way to cover an escape would be to have the cop turn up and escourt her out into protective custody. Fat chance that's gonna happen.
Anyway, just for the hell of it, and it great personal risk (yeah, right) I have checked and it takes Seven four minutes or less to cover the distance from the King's Row precinct roof to the front gate of the Zig. That's including zone transitions (i.e. going through the tunnels) and was done while running SJ, Stealth, Acrobatics and Sprint. I figure two minutes to get into combat rig, another minute to get to the roof, so she should be at the front gate by 8:18. Given that she's electronically cleared her access prior to arrival, I think having her arrive at Ellie just after the KoA lady leaves sounds about right.

It's so much nicer when the mad scientists are vaguely sane.

Oh... just when I thought Ellie would get out alive...

Considering that FFM decided that a squad of Malta are involved
[/ QUOTE ]
Incarcerated Malta, so sans the equipment, just with their training.
[/ QUOTE ]
Uhu... that still makes them multiple level 35-50 humans against a single mechanical at level 22 and a level 50 house cat. Have you ever looked at how much damage you can do with Brawl at level 40? At least they won't be in body armour.
I do have one emergency stunt to pull if it gets bad, but Seven would only use it in an extreme circumstance since it violates her mission objectives. (No, she is not fitted with a small nuclear self-destruct device.)

[ QUOTE ]
Any messages sent to Zorielle about breaking Ellie out of prison will be responded to with a strongly worded reprimand that the Unity Vigil will take no illegal action and will work within the boundries of the law, and that any hero who does attempt to take the law into their own hands will be flagged as criminals and dealt with accordingly.
Also, Zori's a little scathing about Richard's plan, because that could easily overwhelm the prison staff, cause injuries and risk further chaos.
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh thank the ephemeral godlike beings who watch over small, frightened catgirls.
Considering that FFM decided that a squad of Malta are involved, the UV constructs would be most useful if they could arrive before poor Seven has to start taking drastic measures.
Of course, if Seven had anticipated the UV learning of the transfer and acting, she might have been able to forestall some of this fun. Then again, I doubt Zorielle is going to trust her without talking to her, and I get the feeling that Zorielle hasn't talked to Eloise or ADAOS about Seven either, so maybe not.
Lack of communication... it makes the world go round, and then stutter and fall of its axis. -

But like I said, I'm fine with trying it in game; though WHERE is an interesting question!
[/ QUOTE ]
In a base, ignore the surroundings. You could use mine if you wanted, I'm the only resident so we wouldn't disturb anyone. I sometimes worry about you lot and your 'distractions.'
However, I'll set up IRC, send me the info. Looks like I won't be in-game tonight. -
Just looking at that post from Shadowe... this is all going to end so badly.
-
Yeah, but then look at it compared to something like a Sky Subscription...
-
Um... I'd need to set up an IRC client, I don't think I still have one on the machine (just checked and I can't find one). Sorry, but the idea of playing out what's likely to become an action scene via a forum makes me laugh so hard I may need stitches and a full body cast.
I'd prefer to do it in-game, log it, and then someone can fictionalise it, but I'd accept using IRC if someone lets me know later what's required, where to point it, and what the appropriate authentication is.
As for it being easier than in-game: I've never understood why. Text chat is text chat is text chat. Only time I've ever roleplayed in IRC I remained unconvinced that it was any better than in-game. Not any worse, either, (aside from the requirement to install additional software, again). -

If you're not going to report it, how can you expect the devs to EVER solve it?

Thanks, FFM.

Questions:
Do you actually want me to petition this as well as filling in the little game crashed box?
Does the little game crashed box actually send anything to NCNC?
Statement:
The current system of giving progress on petitions could be improved. There are several web-based systems for handling this which do not require your developers to constantly send out notices saying "no new news," but do give the users the opportunity to log in to a web page and see that there is no new news.
Anyway, this happens to me once in a while since I came back. If it needs petitioning as well as the crash box thing, I'll start petitioning it. It's annoying. -
FRAPS, I think it's called. Something like that. Try that.

I do actually understand the proliferation of these ribbon emblems. There was a very interesting programme on the radio about it. I don't believe the charities get much in the way of money out of it, but they do gain recognition. Sadly, the primary reason for wearing the ribbons has become the need to feel part of the latest, sanctioned 'good cause.' A survey suggested that, on average, people who had pink ribbons on were not more aware of anything about breast cancer than people who did not. In many cases, the opposite was true.
Which is not to say that giving money to charities and being aware of these conditions is in any way a bad thing, just that wishing to conspicuously display ones giving nature and adherence to a group meme doesn't really say much. -
Yes, and despite your request for opinions on page six, I think I want to see a couple more pages before deciding what I think of it, so I'm just posting this to say I'm watching.
-
Which is my view on the matter, but I wasn't going to say it because I'd get flamed to high heaven.

Quickly a bathroom break of getting a drink can be ignored.
[/ QUOTE ]
In an open setting like GG, it pretty much has to be coped with. I didn't mean to go to GG last night and was there for about two hours. When you're actually intending to turn up you can be there in character for hours, things like toilet and drink replenishment are a must.
Similarly, long sessions of missions or TFs have to include breaks in them.
[ QUOTE ]
If you HAVE to go AFK for a bit and don't know when you'll be back ... make up something to excuse yourself from the RP (phone or something) to come back when you're done AFKing.
[/ QUOTE ]
Agreed, if it's for a lengthy period of time. You can always suddenly get a phone call. It isn't always entirely logical however and emergency AFKs in the middle of some heated argument or tender moment just require people to be tolerant.
In many ways, for RP, afk is acceptable since you often know they are doing it. What is really unacceptable is not paying attention, and that's why I dislike multi-scene players. They may think they're doing a fine job, but they aren't. Someone playing only one scene can always tell. -

i wait to see more tbh as tht advert doesnt do it for me sadly, if it looks better and becomes more impressive ill get it like i first plan
[/ QUOTE ]
Same here. It seems less cyborg and more big-metal-robot and it doesn't interest me. I'd need to see more solid examples of what's in the pack before I considered buying it. -
[ QUOTE ]
If an idea is good does it matter how much development time is taken up?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, it's called "cost-benefit analysis." You just have to know to take into account non-monetary costs and benefits.
[ QUOTE ]
IMO adding a ribbon symbol to the list of symbols already in the game shouldn't be that hard or time consuming, but then I'm not a developer.
[/ QUOTE ]
To be honest, I'd go slightly beyond whether it's easy or not. Trying to implement this on the current system is either going to produce a 'ribbon' the size of your head, or something that's virtually invisible. I think sometimes people forget the limitations of the technology.
[ QUOTE ]
DTWT is not the only gaming charity there is also IIRC Childs Play or something similar that could be the charity of choice.
[/ QUOTE ]
If my memory serves, there are very good reasons for sticking with a single charity. It benefits both the charity and the company making the donations, especially if the amounts of money flowing are (relatively) small. -
(( If you're still interested in people being 'turned against' Zorielle, this rather James Bondeque Shadow Council (way cool
) may have noted the visit of Dafydd and Amy to the Vigil's base. They both have a history with Zorielle that goes way back and would seem like a logical target for isolation. I can't speak for Aisla (who is pretty involved with RP in WoW, yes there is some), but I'd be interested in seeing what you could come up with for Crow. ))

Villains just have funnier contacts, apart from the Detectives you go to for radio/Safeguard missions. I still remember my sheer stunned amazement when Detective Frazenbacker introduced himself the first time I went to the new Faultline.
Aside from that, a TV, a radio, a gold car... You get taught about the Black Market by the university janitor... There's nothing like that on the hero side, though Penelope Yin does come close. -
I've got a trick arrow/archery defender, not that he gets played much.
I also have a dark/dark stalker.
I don't think those types are going to be that rare, but they may be less played. /DA Scrappers aren't that uncommon.
I've no idea what the least common types are. I suspect there are a few combinations which fall into the bracket of 'not very many people make these' though. -

/Regen Scrappers are massively difficult to play. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone other than a total masochist.

What's so hard about /Regen scrapper exactly?
[/ QUOTE ]
Sarcasm doesn't convey well over the Internet, no. OTOH, I thought the start of the next paragraph...

Seriously, hardest thing I tried was Warshade

Was a bit of a giveaway. I'd suggest looking at posts as a whole, rather than just picking out the bits you like. -

DB/WP is way too hard as well.
Seriously, hardest thing I tried was Warshade. As FFM said, it was a case of it being so annoying to do anything with that I gave up before I even got to level 6 and the first shape change.
Peacebringers, however, I have no real problem with for the little time I've played them.
