The character most likely to be building Incarnate slots next, Gunwitch, will probably not justify the Alpha slot at all. It's basically just a super enhancement, she builds better gadgets all the time and this is nothing different.
There's actually not much I've seen so far which would indicate a need to get any more complex than that. -
That would be a secret.
None of them will be following the established story arc, I think. I've only got one really worked out and she isn't. -
Offhand, I don't recall what the ping was prior to the move, but it's now about 220-250.
I've noticed little or no difference in actual game play, but I did notice that the pedestrians and traffic were smoother than they were a week or two ago.
I don't use Wentworths enough to comment. -

Quote:To the contrary, I'd be fairly sure that this has happened somewhere, but that's not the point, is it? You're placing it in the USA which, as Fans has pointed out, has a system of scrutiny of its legal structure. You could likely word a law in such a way that this could happen without being obvious, but it only requires one person to realise the outcome and its blown. Your precept has, again as Fans stated, blown their cover. Setting aside public reaction, the political establishment would step in and declare the law Unconstitutional, which it is. It would never reach the books.Even better, if you have any facts to prove why it would be nonsensical to believe a plot of my RP happened in anywhere in the world, you are free to state those facts now.
Now, there is an old statute which mirrors this to some extent. Several states passed laws allowing the forced sterilisation of the insane. This was part of the Eugenics movement. It managed to survive for a few years because no one really cared. However, you can guarantee that someone will eventually come along and point out that this isn't very nice, and sure enough, all those laws were eventually repealed.
In the Marvel Universe, I could see someone getting away with this. The CoX Universe is not the same. People like their heroes and the Might for Right fiasco is still relatively fresh in people's minds. That did result in fairly large protests, from both heroes and the public. Now add in the emotive topic of experimentation on children and you have a potentially explosive situation.
As stated above, it won't come to that, because the cover has been blown before the law is enacted. It has some potential as an investigative plot, and I can think of a number of interesting wrinkles, though they appear to be denied by the evidence presented by the OP. None of them make me interested, however. I don't have a character I actively play who would be interested in this level of plot; they either operate at a far more local level, or deal with other kinds of threat.
On a side note: getting irate at the OP is really just pandering. Didn't you guys look up his other posts? -
Actually, the reason I wouldn't be interested is that we've been there and done that. Not actually the corrutption angle, but the experimenting on children. Been there, done that, better, years ago.
The corruption plotline simply doesn't interest. It's hard to see it going anywhere worth bothering with, and that's without factoring in that I don't like forum RP much.
I'd suggest making this a closed RP. Get your list of actors (assuming there's someone willing), create your sub-environment where this can happen, work from there.
Also, don't use a game to work out your issues with corrupt politicians. It won't work. I'm assuming you have said issues due to your assertion that this kind of plotline can and does happen IRL. Best not to bring that stuff into a game. -

Hero Found Dead in Makeshift Prison
The decomposing body of the hero Wilderleaf was found by police yesterday evening, locked in a lightproof room in an abandoned apartment building in Steel Canyon. The plant-based hero, able to regenerate any wound via exposure to sunlight, apparently starved to death.
No comment on the case was available at the time of going to press. -
Hmm... is this an appropriate time to bring out that old thing about "It's all gone to the Americans!!!" or whatever it was?
-
I shall do my usual thing of expecting a horrible mess with massively extended downtime, horrible data transfer failures, and terrible lag.
Hopefully that will result in me being very happy. Until then: DOOOOM!
Remember: Optimists are never pleasently surprised. -
Okay then.
Annette will be arriving with Jacob, looking like this, with the added feature of a gold necklace around her neck which looks quite old.
Her general mood is calm and happy. She's there to enjoy the event. She will dance with Jacob a lot, but will be available for other requests and will try to get Mar out for a dance at some point.
If anyone were to ask...
She's out for the day and returning to the Zig this evening. Psycho murderers don't generally get bail, but she's being allowed out for certain specific events prior to the trial thanks to the intervention of certain influential individuals. She has already arranged to attend the Vanguard memorial service on the 11th.
She has been in solitary following a fight. She requested it for safety reasons and the Zig authorities finally agreed after she was attacked. She will not say for who's safety the request was made or be pressed on the outcome of the fight. She's staying in solitary and says she quite likes it. She is able to have visitors, however, because she's basically in there voluntarily, and she's happy to have anyone come visit if they wish.
She is confident that she won't end up in prison, though she won't exactly go into why, it's supposed to be a happy occasion. What she's not sure about is the strictures the court will put on her freedom. Only time will tell.
At the end of the evening, she heads off in a taxi with Jacob.
I think that covers it.
Oh, if asked about her powers and what she does, she'll say she doesn't have any powers, she's just a good soldier. -
I think they'd probably kick my butt.

My first main character, War Crow, kept his same costume for months. I only changed it for in character reasons.
Second main was female, Nitoichi. She started out in what I thought was a great costume, dress and knee boots. Took me about a week to switch her into the leotard and thigh boots which is still considered her signature costume.
Now she has a Praetorian twin and I could say I got her costume right first time, but I actually created about three placeholder copies of her before the live one and each had slightly different costumes.
These days, I'm influenced in costume construction by the outfits I have available to dress the 3D (DAZ) models I build of the characters. So I usually have a good idea of the kind of thing I'm aiming at before I start creating the game version. If you like, I do concept art, just like the game designers do. Except they actually have talent and can draw/paint, and I'm just okay at twiddling knobs on 3D figure software. -
I'm glad it isn't a whole week, happy to be able to get the badges on my latest main, sad this indicates that I19 will be later than I thought.
Overall, fairly cool. -
Logically, IDF and Seer ATs would be the analogues of the VEATs.
Perhaps a bit samey. -

Decomposed Body Discovered, PPD Baffled
Late last night a body was discovered in a dumpster in the Nebula District of Galaxy City. Police sources have indicated that the identity of the individual, and even its species, are currently unknown. Spokesperson Detective Karen Mulligan stated that the body was clearly of an intelligent species, but DNA analysis had indicated that it was not human.
Det. Mulligan stated that there was evidence that the victim had been murdered, but refused to give further details. She said that the time of death was estimated to be some four to eight weeks ago, though an exact date of the murder was being made more difficult by the lack of pathological expertise in the victim's species. -
I tend to be more into your street-hero these days.
'Hero,' Chad Kruger.
'Invincible' and also 'Warrior,' Distrurbed.
'Adrenaline,' Gavin Rossdale.
'Attack,' 30 Seconds to Mars.
I based an entire story sequence around 'New Divide,' Linkin Park.
Loads of them, too many to mention. -
I was looking for something to play after I stopped running a neverwinter Nights server. It had superheroes. I had just about every Superhero RPG going. Shoe in really. Then I got on the EU beta and the rest is history.

This is pretty cool. It's not often you get a debat on Information Theory in a gaming forum thread.
Can someone bring in commentry on Entropy now? -

Rogues don't want to tear down anything. They want to make a profit.

Hero Found Dead in High Park
The body of Light Below, a Kheldian 'Warshade' was discovered dumped in a backstreet in the High Park district late this afternoon. The body was decapitated, and showed signs of energy weapon damage. At this time, it is unknown why the hero's medical teleport transponder did not activate. Police had no comment on the murder at this early stage. -
It sort of does for Vigilantes. There's often the assumption that someone else is going to rescue the hostages/defuse the bomb/deal with the horde of Nictus. Of course, the Vigilante goes on even if that isn't going to happen.

Through the Pain
Louise initiates Project Omega, and discovers just how much of a mess she's in with Alison. Slightly adult themes.
