Well, I don't bet, so I'll put money on the expansion when it arrives. There's a reason for ramping up staff on a game product that's 5 years old (nearly 6 now, isn't it?).

Power customisation seems the most likely denied thing which they could have found a way to implement.

Honestly, I can't remember, but I think you may be right. LotRO was something of a dissapointment to me, and I think I'm trying to blank it out mostly.

Well, break out the whoolies, it's gonna be a chilly one. Mostly sunny with a few clouds, the light wind is not going to make that high of 9C feel warmer. It'll get cloudier as the afternoon wears on, and the cloud will thicken into evening. There's around a 20% chance of light rain sprinkles, or even snow flurries tonight as the temperature drops to -2C.

And if you think that's bad, tomorrow afternoon is looking like we could get the first real snowfall of the year.

I don't know about PRAF's sources, but anyone can get the information by taking one of their characters into a PvP Zone on the test server. No need to sound snippy.

Unfortunately, I agree. I wasn't aware that this was to be a Rikti Raid Week, and when the sky went dark while I was sat there roleplaying last night, the only thought that went through my head was "oh, good grief, not again." So we left Galaxy City and roleplayed in a base, where we were safe from all forms of irritating disturbance.

Really, they shouldn't have scheduled this so soon after Halloween.

The break from story to staright description of process (the last two paragraphs) is a little harsh. Write a story and put it here, or a character bio and put it somewhere else. Doing both just results in a broken version of both.

I don't want to turn this into a discussion of character sexuality, but nailing down what makes Ni tick is becoming rather fascinating. I'd recommend that Wikipedia link Z supplied, but Ni's more complicated than the simple definitions given there, which, I guess, is pretty normal. People are normally more complicated than anyone gives them credit for.

I've been tweaking it and looking at customisation. Have to see if I can get it a bit more CoHish without knocking it out of character.

Oh, and 'Anonymous' got a reply.

Showers this morning will become steady rain as the afternoon progresses, and with a moderate wind, don't expect that high of 18C to feel as warm as it sounds. Tonight, the wind will swing more southerly and the rain will ease off a little, but with some probability of thunderstorms.

I don't think that explains the difference between hard and soft caps. (Maybe it does, but I'm not sure.)

A hard cap is one specifically enforced by the game system, such as the maximum damage resistances.

A soft cap is one enforced by mathematics, I think. e.g There's no point in having more than X To Hit bonus, because there's always a 5% miss chance, and more To Hit doesn't matter.

Think that's basically correct.

This is how all my characters start out. Construct basic set of operating parameters (is an 8000 year old immortal, must not be angsty) drop into RP situation, make stuff up as I go along.

Your comment about Cindersnap really fits perfectly with how Annette turned out, in a way. I still don't actually understand how she ended up with Libby. She keeps saying she's not a lesbian, and from the way she reacts to Richard, I think she's right, but then she doesn't get the same buzz off Jon. She does kind of get it from Cindersnap, though it's way more complicated with him. I'm starting to think she's actually asexual. She has intense relationships with people she likes, doesn't matter what they are, and everyone else is just a friend or a person (or a target).

And have you got a link for that Cindersnap story?

You can, very much, take that too far, however. It's very much worth watching. You can end up with everyone else hating your guts while you think it's a fantastic game that lets you sort your head out.
