I'd suspect so, considering the PvP changes.
OTOH, there's also the dual build system... -

Honestly I was expecting it to arrive same time as the Lich King TBH, not that I really want to play any of the new sets... well maybe a Fire/Pain corr

Honestly, different priorities on marketting in the companies. Really. -
I know. We'll just have to make Dan famous.
-
Nah. Do listen to other people, just don't take it as Bible Truth. Often, a criticism can help make things better.
Though sometimes it is just being clueless. -
I'm just too busy being happy with Dafydd on his farm, but to add to the comment I put on DA, this Bindweed picture is just way awesome as well.
Maybe we should get Dan doing DtWT pictures for people at Memorabilia.

But many MMO's launch content patches or events just before Thanksgiving so as to keep their players interested when everything else has shut down for the week.
[/ QUOTE ]
Only those who are run entirely by their marketting department. You'll note that the marketting department still gets the time off instead of having to come in and fix all the problems that result from major releases.
NCSoft release patches on a Tuesday, usually, which indicates they appreciate their IT staff more. Monday is a bad day, because it's Monday. Friday is out because when something goes wrong, the IT staff/programmers/both + the PR team end up working all weekend to fix it, and no matter how fast they do it, the customers will hate them for it.
Even those companies who do do releases before major holidays are idiots. So, they release the patch to 'give the players a treat' and it all goes kablooey. Instead of a treat, the players get downed servers. Of course, when this happens, Marketting don't get blamed for launching on a stupid date...
No, I'm not bitter.

You could dress as Spiderman... if you want to be laughed out of the NEC, sure.

Seriously, no need to dress up. -

so i guess mostly every1 dresses up so if i turn up in casual clothes il look a bit of a freak i guess....

Amazingly, I look really naff as a 19 year old teeange brunette when I actually a 44 year old guy (though actually, me and her have similar hair
). And if FFM ever dresses up as Ellie, we will have to call out the army.
No, costume is neither required, nor necessarily common, and it certainly isn't always a good idea. -

how do you know who is who, and with all the nc soft games there wont it be hard to fish out city of hero players?
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, typically in the past when we've attended an event like this the vast majority of players who show up have been CoH players. For whatever reason, we've not really had hordes of players from the other NCsoft titles attend.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm sure there's some deeply meaningful psychological study to be had there. However, let's just narrow it down to CoH players actually being social.
There is also the DtWT thing, which is almost bound to draw comic book freaks more than the other titles. -
Getting in £10 (IIRC, try checking the web site, it's on the main CoH web site page).
You'll want £15 for a pencil/ink drawing of one of your heroes. (You will want this. It's for charity, and if you don't want it, you're weird.) Remember to take reference material, see the FAQ which is in it's own thread.
Food: I'd take about £30, and try not to spend it all.
Activities: standing around the NC Soft stand looking at people and saying things like "Hey, aren't you Ravenswing?" or "My god, I thought you were a girl!" Saying hello to GhostRaptor and discovering that he doesn't hate your guts (well, Bridger didn't used to hate mine, GR could hate me, I dunno). Waiting in a queue for four hours to get your hero immortalised in ink (though it sounds vaguely like that may have improved).
In my case, assuming I do actually go (which depends on my state of depression Saturday morning and whether I wake up early enough without a blinding headache), I'm going to meet a few Roleplayers I haven't met before: primarily Happy_Dan, and Shadowe and Pix. -
Take up roleplaying. Suddenly you know the names and dates of these quaint, American festivals.
The devs at NCNC will get absolutely nothing done for most of next week. Thanksgiving is really pretty much bigger than Christmas, despite being a pretty recent invention, and at one point being decried as racist. Interestingly, it seems to hook up fairly well with a European (Dutch that I know of) festival which happens around December 5th. Can't help but wonder whether the Puritans took it over with them.
Anyway, America shuts down next week Wednesday and doesn't emerge until Tuesday, and then they seem to wonder why we shut down for the week over Christmas. Hey ho. -

Actually, all my resistance toggles like Temp Invul have 1 -end cost and 3 resistance, same as every other res power like that.
[/ QUOTE ]
And mine are stacked for 2 end red and 2 (defensive enhancement). And I don't have endurance problems. More than two is a waste, but only one is statistically a much higher drain in situations where you are running multiple toggles. -
Try looking in the other two threads on this subject.
-
QR is a glory, but single slotted it won't hold three un-slotted toggles up that well.
People tend to massively overlook end red in their toggles because they believe it's all about damage or damage resistance or defense, or whatever. 'Secondary' slotting is ignored until high levels (and more slots), and then people wonder why they have endurance problems.
(Equally typically, people slot up their attacks for damage, neglecting accuracy and recharge because they don't understand the statistics of attacks. People often go for 'big bang for the buck' instead of actually analysing the data.) -
Uh-huh, try actually slotting your toggles for reduced enduance cost. My current main is a /WP Scrapper. At level 20 she was running 3 toggles continuously when fighting and had no real trouble because I slotted for end rec.

Sunshine, lolipops, and freezing temperatures today in the City of Heroes. It should be sunny all day but with an expected high of 3C and a northerly, moderate wind, it's going to feel cold, cold, cold. It's not going to get better tonight with a low of -6C and a slight drop in wind.
Tomorrow, very slightly warmer, with a little more cloud and a slight chance of it spitting icy rain at you when you least expect it. -
I'm going to try to be there. Depends how I feel Saturday morning when I get up. I know some of the GG crowd are going, and I have an urge to get my current main drawn by someone.

1) Nobody wants to see that - hairy chests went out of style a few decades ago.
2) For comedic purposes (and hairy chests are comical) Monstrous Fur works well enough. Austin Powers material there.

I have a hairy chest and I'm not a real man.
I'm actually a figment of a warped imagination. -

Get rid of Hasten, I don't use and TBH I can't see why anyone else would want to...

I think you are being sarcastic.
However, I use Hasten as a defence power. It's great against -Recharge powers, especially Swarms. *growls* -

I like these ideas. /signed.
..In addition I would like a teleport animation of an elevator that comes up out of the ground 'Bill-'n'-Ted style, you enter before it switching to a cutscene of your character inside listening to Musak whilst /em,waiting - before the doors going 'ding' and opening for your exit.
[/ QUOTE ]
Now that would be class!

I want a Tardis!
Actually, would anyone else like a small cutscene instead of the train load screen, with your hero strap hanging surrounded by a load of civies looking at the guy in the silly costume? -
Well, I've never taken the the Primary taunt on any of my many Scrappers, but I don't necessarily think it's a great idea to lose it.
[ QUOTE ]
So Taunt is unlikely to be useful on a scrapper.
[/ QUOTE ]
Have to disagree there though. A Taunt effect on some scrappers is well useful, stope the little B's running off when I want to hit them, though that's a Taunt aura like RttC or the Invulnerability one. I'd find having to actively yank them back annoying.

I do so feel sorry for Dee Dee, she gets as much stick as Rushmore, but with less humour...
-
And it's also pretty likely that he can ONLY see one different colour change. i.e. He can have red ice blasts, on everyone who has ice blasts.
-
Okay, took a bit of effort to find this one. Heard it on the radio, and I thought it would be just right for Dee Dee.
The Scene: Galaxy Girl and Richard has a girl in his lap, not Dee Dee. Dee Dee does a dance number around the couple, accompanied by a suitable supply of the other GG girls providing the chorus.
The Song: Crush by Jennifer Page.
"It's just/Some little thing./Not like everything I do/Depends on you."
---
And I finally figured out a duet for Ni and Annette.
The Scene: Inside Annette's head. Annette is singing to an image of Linda, and Ni is sat nearby, echoing some of the lines to Annette, especially the chorus.
The Song: Too Lost In You by the Sugar Babes.
