question for burning fist, how did you get the chest part on the monk? i havent noticed that anywhere before.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That's the Toga piece. It was part of the 2006 Valentine's Day event. I can't recall offhand whether you can get it from the later Valentine's events, but probably.

    [/ QUOTE ]

You could - infact if you know anyone that still has the mission from DJ Zero you can get that toga... failing that next valentine's day I imagine it will be back.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ahh thanks a lot, didnt realise they gave costume pieces at valentines day but i still have to ask the question, what does a monks robe have to do with valentines day?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Because it isn't a monk's tobe, it's a Roman toga. I highlighted the bit in my post, which you didn't read, which would have explained that. You fail reading comprehension!

Pretty much established it's crafting a 5 costume slot I think.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Well... that mildly sucks.
  3. [ QUOTE ]
Maybe make it a Vet Reward instead? Vanguard Teleporter?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Please, no.

    3. Agree that the 'go talk to pvp/whatever' missions should have a 'no thanks' option that drops it without using up the every-3-days drop thingie.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Not getting at you but... You bunch of lazy goits! It's not that horrible to have to spend 5 minutes going to one contact and then leaving. Jeez!

Personally, I admit, I'd be happy if those dumb introductory missions just got dropped entirely, but while they're there, if you don't wanna do it, suffer have to use your mission drop option.

    [/ QUOTE ]

It was meant more for those who tend to be obsessive-compulsive about the contents of their contact list, like me. Dropping a 'go-talk-to' mission will not add the contact to your list, as I recall.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Since they put the Active/Inactive lists in, that kind of thing really doesn't bother me at all anymore.

    [ QUOTE ]
And villains do have some cross-zone missions, most notably in the new I13 arcs (ZOMG recycled hero-style content! boo! )

    [/ QUOTE ]

'Some' being far different from 'almost all.'
  6. [ QUOTE ]
You can have as many "open" contacts as you like already, since you're not required to accept the next mission in an arc right away. If you don't feel like playing the missions contact #1 is offering right now, accept a mission from contact #2 instead. You will be able to return to contact #1 (or any other from your list) later and pick up the story arc where you left it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Within limits. Hero side (don't think there are any villain side) you can only have two gold/yellow arcs open at a time. This is another restricting factor. You don't always know you are opening a gold arc, they are sometimes the first offered mission, and once you do you will end up drying your other contacts' instanced missions if you open two arcs without closing one.
  7. Um, yeah, did that.

I mean, do they have to be in an Arena, or can they be anywhere?
  8. Hmmm... do you think they'll start taxing Monopoly games?
  9. I find that if you can have lots of open missions, you tend to end up hanging onto loads until you outlevel and dump them, but 3 does seem a little too few, yes.
  10. There's a soup kitchen/homeless shelter affair in King's Row that Z has established. Unfortunately, I don't have the details down anywehere and she's not around this week.

I think you can assume that there will be restaurants open on Thanksgiving, probably some bars and the like too. There's always someone willing to ignore the holiday in any society.
  11. I said I couldn't think of anything, not that there was nothing. Though I do find that something called 'imagination' can make up for a great deal of not being able to stand inside cryo-tanks.

The M40 is also a sniper rifle.

    [/ QUOTE ]

And a few other things. You'd think they'd try to avoid that. Oh well...

    [ QUOTE ]
But given that there are very few assult weapons that do all of what is available in the power set, I'm not sure realism is high on the priority list.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I give you The Zorg Industries ZF-1. I know the flamethrower is mah favourite.

(I knew someone had to have put this on YouTube. )
  13. [ QUOTE ]
Many grenades like smoke and so forth are simply too-large to fit into a standard M40 grenade launcher, like flashbangs and many smoke grenades, meaning they have to be hand-launched.

    [/ QUOTE ]

This would sound so much more convincing if there was such a thing as an M40 grenade launcher. The M40 was an anti-tank gun.

The M203 which seems to fit better with the whacko AR design has multiple round types, including an armour piercing variant and a CS gas round. This page gives a fairly extensive list of potential 40mm grenade rounds, and there seems to be a smoke round in there as well.
  14. I tried /ai one night and it seemed to totally fail.
Are there limitations on who you can invite, where they need to be, etc?

Real epic creativity fail there, imo. Heroes get a LOT of choice and variety in their early levels

    [/ QUOTE ]

The hell they do. It's all the same really, and villains get a variety of enemies while heroes get saddled with just one group depending on their origin, and mostly those types are of very limited number.

    [ QUOTE ]
    2. make the mission places close to the contact, and not on the other side of the map.

    [/ QUOTE ]

And then you level up and your contacts only ever give you missions on the same island as you're on. Heroes get sent all over every zone possible at every opportunity.

Personally, I think villains should have to suffer two hours of relatively reduced choice to make up for having a much nicer mission system later in the game. So there.
  16. I have no doubt. I just can't think of a good reason for it that involves anything reasonable.
  17. Archery does: Stunning Shot, that I can instantly find.

    And Psionic has Scramble Thoughts.
  18. That has to be the dumbest, most ill-thought-out article I've seen on the subject.

It's quite obvious how you tax such income, and it would only affect people stupid enough to become involved in Real Money Transactions.

Would make the Asian market squirm, I guess, and make some aspects of some more Western games an issue.
  19. Oddly, I don't see that as a big advantage.
  20. I start doing IOs when I get them, probably somewhere around level 12. They don't cost much to make back there, I never buy any of the components, just make them if I get the parts. They provide a constant bonus and never die out. I think they're wonderful.
  21. I think those all fall under the category of 'not going to happen ever' actually, since the NCNC aren't really into the habit of trying to push you down specific choices of powerset combinations.

Also, if they did do this for AR Blasters, they would be obliged to do it for most of the weapon using Scrappers in some way shape or form since:

    a. Most of their damage is S/L.
    b. They have redraw penalities and are forced to do so on using a secondary power.
  22. I had to struggle manfully to figure this out, and I think I got it. You mean the set bonus to Healing, rather than the set bonus to Regeneration.

Ah, I see. True, but entirely irrelevent. Healing set bonuses come from 4 items of a set being applied in all current cases. I don't want 4 item sets.
  23. Well, it's actually not too bad temperature-wise here in Paragon City this November 25th, but let's face it, you aren't going to care! That high of 10C will be drowned out by four or five degrees of wind chill, heavy cloud and up to two inches of rain. Tonight the rain will die out slowly, but with a low of 1C and that windchill, best to make sure your spandex has a thermal liner.

Tomorrow should be a much finer day, and warmer, even if not from the sun.

I know this is essentially a remodelling job and I dont suspect it would be a simple

    [/ QUOTE ]

Graphical mirroring shouldn't be a huge problem, theoretically. Repositioning the left or ride side small emblems would be a new mask, I think, probably one for each emblem. Not so good.

    [ QUOTE ]
I was thinking I'd like small chest emblems to be available too on all costume options

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Massively and wholeheartedly agree.
