0.6 is moderately high for a defensive power.
'Back in the day' I used to use it to defeat PPs. I'd keep hitting until my endurance bottomed out, flick on PS and then shut down everything else, recover my endurance, power everything back on, and detoggle PS.
Then they nerfed PS, but made almost every /regen power auto or clicky so endurance on very long fights became a non-issue. -

And yes, you can bring villains, as long as they're sociable and won't start talking about who they eviscerated that day.
[/ QUOTE ]
Darn! Oh no, hang on, Enny doesn't actually eviscerate people, so that's probably okay. -
[ QUOTE ]
Btw if I only have villains, is it still worthwhile to show up?
[/ QUOTE ]
I'd almost certainly bring Enherezza along because it'll be a total laugh seeing the reactions. She's a Stalker.
However, if you're looking for people to roleplay with over in the Rogue Isles rather than just in Pocket D... that'll depend on whether some of the SG roleplayers and similar think this might be a good way to 'recruit' new members. This kind of more 'social' roleplay is far more common on the hero side. -
Though, of course, you will be meeting other roleplayers by virtue of the fact that they tend to get dragged along by their characters.

Now, not saying we should have speed dating
[/ QUOTE ]
We've already done speed dating, it was called GG. Your idea sounds way more interesting. -
I don't have Dark Consumption on my current build (for some reason) and still have no problems. I'm thinking they did something to accuracy and that's flattening the mobs before I have to worry about endurance.
-
[ QUOTE ]
The 5% acc bonus of the sword sets goes well with the -def of the attacks, made hitting mobs in the early levels much easier.
[/ QUOTE ]
FireKitty is agreeing with me. I rest my case. -

Then again, the same guy seemed to think xp was spread out in pve as well.
[/ QUOTE ]
I believe it's scaled rather than 'spread out', but the effect's the same. Mind you int teams of 7+ (I think) you get a bonus to team xp which may offset the drop due to number of people. -
It was never much of a panic button because you often ended up dead while it was activating.
-
Yeah, but SR lacks self heals. I haven't tried them all, but my 'imformed guess' would be that Ninjutsu probably outshines both of them.
-
If I had to guess, I'd say the global endurance reduction that happened with ED probably pushed something over a threshold between 'just a bit too much to recover' and 'what endurance drain'. Regen is a very threshold related set.
-
No one seems to have answered the endurance question: Phase Shift certainly used to have a huge endurance cost. I'm not aware they ever lowered it, aside from the overall discount that every power got around ED.
Phase Shift is an emergency button. I don't think it has much more use than that. -
My nin/nin was a total pain to do anything with, but having got up to the late-teens and twenties she seems to have matured and has got a lot easier to solo with. She doesn't even seem to have that much trouble with Mayhem missions.

Regen isn't a great choice for a stalker. Heals are all based on regenerating a percentage of your hit points each tick. Scrappers have buckets of hit points, so regen Scrappers are great. Stalkers have the lowest hit points in the game, so regen has a considerably reduced effect.
-
I don't get it either, tbh, but that was his problem. It didn't help that his accuracy was so poor so there was a lot of whiffing.
Now, for no easily explained reason, the only way I can get his endurance to look dodgy is chain teleporting down IP. -

My choice for something a bit different from the normal Regens you'll have seen a lot of is DM/Regen. I'm currently levelling one up and it really is a whole lot of fun to play.
[/ QUOTE ]
I can recommend this now, though I wouldn't have previously. My Dm/Regen was a total pain, constantly low on endurance and with an apparently very low ability to hit anything. I think they received some love while I was away, because he's a lot nicer to operate now than he was. -
[ QUOTE ]
The 5% Acc bonus that Broadsword, Katana and Martial Arts have is worse than a training enhancement.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, but it's 5% on top of what you get for enhancements. No one ever died from having too much accuracy. -
(( No, never any desire too. I'm just going to go a sob in a corner for the fate of the world. ))

I intend to use White' Wolf's Aberrant (probably sometime tomorrow) for the game stats. This system also has, if you own the Player's Guide as well, the potential to simulate beings of cosmic power at the higher end of the power scale- I hear Floating Fat Man might be in need of such a thing...
[/ QUOTE ]
If he ever wanted to stat out Voyd, Aberrant would be perfect, yes. -

look in many IKEA
[/ QUOTE ]
(( Please tell me you weren't thinking and that really IKEA hasn't penetrated North America.))
-
[ QUOTE ]
Really? then why do they say it here in the North West?
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, I say it (rarely) and I'm in the North West, but I'm from the North East.
Personally, I blame When the Boat Comes In, but then I blame that for a lot of things, like, world hunger. -

she's a bonny lass
[/ QUOTE ]
And for the non-English playing English, no one outside of the North East of England calls someone a bonny lass anymore. -
As long as it isn't a guide on stereotyped American behaviour, I can't see how anyone would object. Some people have only seen Americans on TV, a bit like wild lions, or David Attenborough.

GURPS isn't more advanced than M&M. It's just different
[/ QUOTE ]
Not what I said. GURPS Powers (the 4th Ed ruleset) has a more flexible power framework. Champions has Power Pools and other such constructs which would make building a kheldian or a magician a lot simpler (it's just that the maths gets a bit more complicated). Doesn't make any of them 'more advanced' it just makes them better for describing some powers, RP'd or in game.
M&M isn't mandatory, but a lot of people have the rules and so they'll actually be able to interpret the decriptions. -
[ QUOTE ]
Not completely sure it'd be possible to stat up Miss Ellie; even as a level 20 in M&M. I'm not sure there are enough PP's for all her powers as a triform PB, even ignoring the RP'd extras...
[/ QUOTE ]
M&M is mising some highly useful features which Champions has for building things like Grav Mistress and multi-form creatures. For all its stunning press, I think GURPS Powers now has a better framework for handling supers than M&M does.
M&M's great advantage is in the gameplay. It's power system is pretty primitive.
