Quote:I also had a LoTG +Global recharge drop from a boss defeat. And I thought those were only TF drops.
This was changed a few issues ago, it is very very very rare, but it does help.
As for drops I have been pleased with the rate so far, I do know there is a group still testing this issue so time will tell. -
Truely amazing what you have done with the base!

yup same here. I am working on becoming eeeeeeeeebil! 400 mil of my fortune I have made in two weeks cornering a small niche in the market. Am still getting my feet wet and learning the ropes on it. Mainly buying recipies at 100,000 and selling them crafted for 5 mil.

Got my first 50 on the last dbl xp. Pretty much only played that toon for 4 months avoiding AE and took advantage of the dbl xp to get my 50!
Am looking forward to now breaking some alts up to level 35 ish over the weekend I have got my first few villains and a new fire/fire blaster. All and all I am thankful for another xp weekend. -
While I have not had the pleasure of playing on the Triumph server I would like to say congrats to you both! Its great hearing such an amazing story.

Thanks to all here who put so much time and effort into testing this! Looking forward to playing tonight once I get out of the office.

I feel your pain...I am almost to 500 mil and I am soooo tempted to spend right through it!

Quote:Yes it is live, some of the heavy testers of this matter are pleased with an upped drop rate, please see page 37 this thread http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showt...188370&page=37Is this patch live yet? I ran a couple farm missions on live this afternoon and was still seeing the same low drop rates from before.
here is a link to the patch notes

Quote:I would second this listYerah, if we're going for what is most iconic of the AT, Super Strength for Tankers wins hands down. Here are my choices:
Blaster: Energy/Energy
Controller: Mind Control/Force Field
Defender: Empathy/Psi Blast
Scrapper: Claws/Regen (or Dual Blade/SR)
Tanker: Invuln/SS
Brute: SS/Willpower
Stalker: Ninja Blade/Ninjitsu
Mastermind: Robotics/Devices
Dominator: Mind Control/Fiery Assault
Corruptor: Dark Blast/Dark Miasma -
Thanks for the quick update AgentMountaineer!

I would suggest another stick of ram, and if you can afford $40 upgrade to an intel 3.2 ghz as I am assuming you are running a socket 478 mobo

Quote:Where did ya guys go hunting for them?Man, I only picked up about 20 Fake Nemesis robots last night, and I had an 8-man team most of the time. Not sure why they weren't spawning in much. I had us fighting +1, fighting like 2 heroes, wanting to fight bosses and AVs. Anyone know if you need to tweak things a certain way to get more bosses?
Still had fun, got to 43 and 6 bars to 44, but I was hoping for more bosses. -
Since I16 has hit the wifes computer, well it starts off all nice and friendly and after a bit it is a slideshow. Sadly she only has 1.5 gigs of ram.
My computer however is a lot better and I have been keeping an eye on my task manager and have noticed that COH is a lot more hungary then it use to be.
Thanks for the advice on the commands, will have her try them out and see how they work until I can get her a new rig built over the next few days. -
I would love to see them spawn in Radio/Paper mish's randomly, great idea's and more then likely very possible to do.

I vote for an all Nrg/X Blast TF

MY fav neg I just got came from a thread over in the Freedom server were someone was flaming the game and the dev's. I asked a simple question as to what he was hoping to accomplish by posting such a post and that accidents happen and things change like every other MMO that has ever lasted this long, but things do get fixed and we can not over look the QoL changes and stuff that the devs have done for us. Instead of commenting in his thread he left me this rep
"stupid"
I could not help but laugh and refill my booze -
I wish I had seen this earlier! My wife is huge into RP and she has been looking for some RP on vic. That and well we just started playing villians, do you still have any room for 2 more people?

Quote:Wow! great to hear and looking forward to seeing how this turns outI just wanted to let you know you can probably stop recording data, a fix for this should be making its way to the training room fairly soon. Your drop analysis there, when this patch hits the training room, would be very useful. Thanks for everyone's diligence, and believe it or not the bug had nothing to do with team size, what map you were on, whether you were in taskforce mode or not or anything else mentioned in this thread.
Regards,

Quote:Ninjas: Oh boy, gotta love the Special Ed bunch of the Primaries. The Ninjas aren't exactly as intelligent as the other pets, and are probably going to go down faster than zombies. No, actually, they will. This is made up by pairing Ninjas with either A: Force Fields, B: Dark Miasma, C: Pain Domination, and sometimes D: Storm Summoning. If you're new to Masterminds go Dark Miasma or Force Fields. Despite some of these issues Ninjas can be the most fun and aggressive Primary to play, especially when you're tossing Smoke Flash intelligently on your little warriors. Ninjas do not work quite like the other Primaries because their AoE abilities are limited at best. This is made up by some of the best Single Target DPS I've seen any of the Mastermind primaries pump out. By far Ninjas pull ahead for damage on a meaty guy. Traps is another secondary you may want to consider.
Necromancery: Ah, the zombies. Man I love these guys, but sometimes they have Ninja-like tendencies. Basically anything works with them, but once agaiN i suggest Dark Miasma or Force Fields (in this case Pain Domination is another suggestion). Necromancery is the more..."unique" primary because the Tier 3 Pet does less damage than the Tier 1 pets. Why is that? Why are your Tier 1 and Tier 2 pets the heavy hitters? Because the Lich is a frickin' beast of a debuffer. Fearsome Stare alone is worth a -30% ToHit debuff which will already have nearly floored the hitting capabillities of even conning enemies. He's got holds, immobilizes, etc. He's gonna be your debuffing and mez unit, and do not think for a second that because the Tier 3 pet does minimal damage your own damage will be gimp. Grave Knights and Zombies hit HARD, I mean really hard. Necromancery can be put in context as nearly being able to hit as hard as Ninjas. It's strange because I can't really score it that well. Genin do less than Zombies, but Ninjas have the Oni for the added damage. They do decent if not respectable AoE.
Robotics: Ah, our mechanical friends! As you've known Robots can dish out some serious AoE hurting, but AoE is not the only thing Bots are good at. They're defensive, resistable, and all around hardy making them one of the more survivable primaries. Take Force Fields, Dark Miasma, Pain Domination, Storm Summong, etc. This is probably the perfect starter Primary next to Mercenaries and Thugs. You can basically pair any secondary with it and learn how to play a Mastermind without too much annoyance. Oh, and Robotics is the perfect Primary for your Archvillain and Giant Monster needs. The Assault Bot will happily blast and blast away his negative regeneration beam. If you're feeling like following in the foot steps of some of the more established Masterminds then attempt Robotics/Traps, you won't be sorry.
Serious Rep inbound for this. I had been looking at the amazing Robotics/Traps thread and my jaw hit the ground hard!
Where I currently am sitting is, not so much for ninja's cause of being new and them being squishy, so maybe soon!
So either Undead/Dark, am I sure that the wife would love some debuffed goons to stalk down.
Or Bots/? well on our heroes we have found great joy running X5-8 and well when two are taking on that many AOE is great! -
My wife made a Ninja Blade/Ninjitsu toon and looks like I will be joining the dark side with her!
I hear MM's are a bit tricky at first and in reality I love all of the sets and can not choose.
So
Ninja's would kind of be cool with her theme, but being new to the MM thing, not sure
Undead seem nice, what type of stalker would not like debuff's being tossed at our targets?
Bots, A power house, and granted while does some KB AOE is nice for large spawns (we love playing with the new sliders.
So what would you all recommend that would go with her toon, and I know it will be said go with what you like to play! But we have yet to try villians and really I think I would be happy with any of them. -
My wife and I are about ready to head over to the dark side with some evil toonage. She has made a Ninja Blade/Ninjitsu Stalker and doing nothing but contact missions and street sweeping in a day is up to level 14. My primary toons now are a couple of Blasters, so looking forward trying something new.
Now I need some idea's on what would work best with her toon, choices are
Bots/Traps (I know the KB is bad but AOE is good)
Merc/Pain
Claws/WP
OTHER?
I know I am going to make a Earth/Stone Dom but was curious what of the three other builds above would work best with her? Figured the first one could bring some nice dmg and AOE, the second one for dmg and support with healing, and well the third one, well who needs support when you have two stalkers eating things alive?

FF as always, amazing options from a respected mind. Simple and effective, while also I thinking bringing a lot more people into the realm of PVP, and showing them it is not so scary.
