So let's see the whole scene! The moments leading up to the kiss, and what happens afterward.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I wouldn't mind seeing that either.

Edit: Dark's actually got a degree in animation from the Art Institute. However, I think he'd take anything he can get in that kind of department, and I'm sure he'd love to do animation, story boards, concept art for games, comic art, etc. We've all been tell him he should be sending his stuff to bunches of places.

But I still wanna see the pictures up to this one too. *Evil laugh* Good thing I'm sitting right next to him so I can beg him for it.

Either way, this'll take a while, so wish me luck and I'll post it once it's done to at least a satisfactory degree.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Good luck, honey! It already rocks! *Good luck kiss*
  3. I took a stab at it. Since I don't know the character's origin or concept, it's kind of a shot in the dark. Still, I hope you like it! Super-It
  4. Awww Graver, that sucks. But the almost done MysticFire looks A-freakin'-MAZING! Way to go! I can't wait to see what it looks like completely finished.
  5. I've got something for you. I think the goggles and coat scream mad scientist enough that I could give him a tech suit underneath and it would still give you what you want. You could even go so far as to say that the suit harnesses his body's energy so he can rechannel it though his gloves to make forcefields. Just an idea.

Anyway, without futher ado, here you go!

Hope you like it, please let me know what you think!

Very nice pic your pencils and inks are very tight , I didn't know vampires where so lusty (makes note to make sure her next boyfriend is a vampire )

    [/ QUOTE ]

Oh, those two can't ever keep their hands and fangs off each other. And they've been together since 1944, isn't that beautiful?
  7. The room was silent. Everyone was far too busy staring slack-jawed out the window as more and more red lights appeared across Baumton to answer Tommy’s question. No one moved an inch, and it was impossible to tell if they had been watching for an instant or an hour.

Ms. Kingsley was the first to break the silence, “Okay… it’s… it’s okay…” It wasn’t entirely clear if she was trying to soothe herself or her students. The young teacher lowered her hands in a calming gesture as she tried to think; her eyes fortunately fell on the blackboard. The school was built around 1950, and in the upper corner of the board, opposite of the fire alarm guidelines, were very faded air raid instructions. From what she could still make out, it seemed appropriate.

“Tommy, Peter,” she turned to the boys in the aisle closest to the windows. “Close the windows, please.” The boys nodded quickly, closing and locking the windows and getting away from them again as fast as possible.

“Ms. Kingsley,” Nicki swallowed as she began, “Is it… um, you know, terrorists?”

“I’m not sure, Nicole,” the teacher replied and turned to the rest of the class. “Everyone please… just sit down… and stay calm… until we find out what’s going on. Please be ready to get under the desks if I tell you to, alright?” And, in a brief lapse of recognition of priority she quickly cried out, “And please save your work and turn the computers off!”

A few of the students were able to utter, “Yes Ms. Kingsley,” in response to her instructions, though most just answered her with a slow nod. The teacher quickly crossed the room to the television in the corner, stretched her long figure slightly and turned it on, hoping to find a cartoon to at least partially distract her students. The television immediately greeted the room with the shrill buzzing of the Emergency Broadcast System. The students startled as their attention immediately turned to the television. Ms. Kingsley frowned, not expecting this to help the situation. Words began to appear on the green background.

“This is the Emergency Broadcast System. This is not a test. Please turn to a local broadcast news channel for emergency information and instructions.” The young teacher grimaced and began flipping through the channels on her way to CBS 12; every channel had the same screech and message on the green screen.

Before Ms Kingsley could reach the channel, the PA clicked on and the voice of Principal Sister Julia Jacob, failing miserably at concealing her own fear, came through the loudspeaker. She apparently had just noticed the same message, “Attention all teachers and students still in the building, please report to the auditorium immediately. Thank you.” The PA went to static and shut off.

The teacher turned to her the student yearbook staff, “Well… you heard Sister Julia. Everyone get up, grab your bags, let’s go,” she said as she clapped her hands in a chop-chop fashion, no doubt eager to speak with another teacher without abandoning her students. Ms Kingsley hurriedly ushered the kids out of the computer room and to the opposite end of the school.

*Dons a devil costume and props on TA's left shoulder, whispering in his ear*

Do it... give in... you know you want to... you'll feel so much better once you do... >;-)

Seriously, TA, Dark'll be taking commissions very soon, just gotta get the website up and running.

I LOVE this picture! He already knows that and I'm sitting right next to him smiling like an idiot as he works on it some more. I get extra excited whenever he draws Rae and Dark.
  9. I've gotta say I don't like any of them either. My problem is that they're all kind of... messy. Except for the 4th one, which is just bland.

For example, the costume has: medieval boots, steampunk legs, buckled leather top, robotic arms, a simpler tech belt, very natural looking wrapped gloves, etc. And horns, a scarf, medieval shoulder pads, chest straps, It doesn't have much in the way of synergy at all. The third one has the same problem. The second one isn't as bad, but the colors are ugly.

You don't NEED to have EVERY costume piece, and I think it would behove you to pick a theme and stick to it. What exactly IS this character, anyway? I can't decypher it at all from the costume, and I think having that would help you immensely.

I think Kelp looks awesome, especially with the old-school Aquaman giant octopus backing him up. Great idea that leads to a kickass visual =D

    [/ QUOTE ]

He worked very hard on that commission, especially the coloring. He decided Kelp, being Aquaman-like, would be able to communicate with Lusca at least a little.

That was actually the first "commission". Virtue held an auction to raise Katrina relief money last year, and Dark offered a commission as something to bid on. Kelp, who's a friend of ours, was the winning bid.

    They look great!
I think Tephra is still my favorite so far, but the one of Darkfang and Ravenbane is looking very good!

    [/ QUOTE ]

I love the Dark and Rae one... but Dark wasn't satisfied with how Rae looked. I won't argue, Rae looks good but Dark looks smoking hot! *drools*

Plus, Rae's costume got changed a bit when I7 hit... buckled leather with the matching pattern for the legs and the leather strap boots. He wants to redraw her before he goes any farther with the picture.

    And Tephra... just rocks.

And where's TA in all this?

U.S Angel. Just not big enough.

    [/ QUOTE ]

You know what, let me fix that. That's actually the full size picture, but the file's too big and Photobucket dumbed it down.

some really nice pieces , tho being the pro virtue sort I am you really should post this on the Virtue Forums as well as a number of folks on Virtue whom do not Frequent the art forums would likely be intrested .

    [/ QUOTE ]

Oh definitely, I just don't want one or the other locked for cross-posting. Any ideas?
  14. That is awesome! Makes me even more excited to see the piece I'm commissioning for Dark's birthday.

    Tephra Fire

This one's my favorite... for obvious reasons. That is... at least until he finishes a piece of these two...

Because I just love those two blood-suckers to death.

You're marrying him for the free art, aren't you?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, for that and his huge... <.< >.>... heart!

Lots of reasons, actually, the free art is just a very nice little bonus.
  17. I'm the fiancee, he's the fiance.

I like his style a lot too, and he's been getting better with each piece. It's funny you say animation, because he's actually got a bachelor's degree in it. Media Arts and Animation from the Art Institute of Philadelphia.
  18. So my dear sweet fiance finally finished a picture of one of my characters! Here's my Fiery Aura/Stone Melee volcano demigoddess, Tephra Fire!

Eeee! I love it! That's totally how all her Stone Melee powers should look, like cooling, cracking lava. *Love*

He should be starting to take commissions very soon.

And wow, that multi-ding pic is awesome! Happen to have a larger version of it?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Thanks! I have a full-size version on my comp, but photobucket keeps resizing it. I'm trying to figure out what to do.

    Level Animations

Here's one of 5, count 'em, 5 people dinging 50 simultaneously. It happened just last night with myself and 4 other members of my SG that coordinated a mass-Ding.

It's just a picture, not an animation, but I'm just so damn proud of the picture, I had to share it.

On that note, I never noticed there was much of a difference in level animations up to 49. I did notice there were significantly more fireworks for the 50 ding, though.

Too bad you can't afford toilet paper!

Collector: You're mucking with a G, you tracer.
Banky Edwards: I'll trace a chalk line around your dead body!
Holden McNeil: [to Security Guards] Will you get him out of here!
Collector: [as he's being dragged away by Security Guard] Hey wait a second! He jumped me, you tracer!
