Ebon Spider for Mayor of Grandville!

*Goes into election booth to out-vote Recluse and replace him with Ebon*

Now you know the ballet paper is just a tick box with LRs name in very small print, no other option

But if it says Dark Ebon Spider, we're clearly voting for Spider. Also, we can always cut the small print off.

    Arachnos Names!

I shall probably call my Crab Spider, Adar-Malik or Adrammelech.
  3. I nominate Infinitron for his wonderful drawings of the members of MoX.

  6. I can join you if you want. I've done it before and can provide some assistance, if you need it, on the last mission.

    Soul Control

Due to the fact some people don’t want Imps and/or the Set would seem better with another pet, I’ve had a little brainwave.

Bind Sprit: Using your powers of Soul Manipulation, you wrench the soul of a fallen foe from its body and force it do your bidding. Depending on the class of the target, the spirit will vary in health and endurance. However, all bound spirits will use an array of Dark Powers to attack any foe that approaches you. You can also activate this power by locking onto your target and typing “/release_pets” in the chat window. Recharge: Very long (240 seconds).

    Bound Sprit’s Powers:

    Resistance:
Bound Spirits are resistant to Sleep (4 point protection), Fear (2 point protection), immobilize (4 point protection) and slow (75% resistance to Attack Speed and Run Speed reductions). They are also resistant to Smashing, Lethal, Cold, Negative and Toxic damage (26.6% resistance to each one).

Phase Shift: Bound Spirits can Phase Shift into the negative plane and become out of sync with normal space. While Phase Shifted, they are in touch with their native plane and can regenerate quickly. Recharge: Very Long (500 seconds).

Ghastly Blast: The Bound Spirit can use a wave of darkness to attack its foes, dealing Negative Energy damage. Damage: High (Negative Energy). Recharge: Fast (4 seconds). Ranged, High damage (Negative Energy), Foe -Acc.

Fly: The Bound Spirit can inherently fly with no cost to Endurance.

Life Drain: Using its Dark Powers, the Bound Spirit can siphon life from another being to restore its own health. Damage: Moderate. Recharge: Moderate (8 seconds). Ranged, Moderate damage (Negative Energy), Self +Heal, Foe –Acc.

Necroplasmic Blast: The Bound Spirit can fire a blast of darkness unto a foe, holding them, as their life-force is slowly drained from their body. Damage: High. Recharge: Slow (16 seconds). Ranged, High DoT (Negative Energy), Foe Hold, -Acc.

This is basically the Mastermind Power, Soul Extraction, except for the fact that the Bound Spirit is permanent (Well until it dies) unlike the Mastermind version. I’ve also made the Hold Power ranged instead of Melee and reduced the recharge time on Life Drain by half so the pet at least has some form of an attack chain.

    Thoughts and opinions please!

It would be nice to have a dark or soul themed control set.

After all, GW is the dom patron, and they don't have any sets like hers!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Thank you, Spirit_Spirit. At least someone appreciates my hours of thinking up ideas.

The reason I want a Set like this in-game is because, there is no Dark or Soul Control Powers except for those you get in things like Dark Blast or Patron Powers. I think it would be really cool.

Also, Ghost Widow is classed as a Dominator so if there is Dark or Soul Control Set, the Archetype would suit her more instead of a Corruptor, which I think she is.

The only thing Ghost Widow-ish about this set is the move, Soul Hurricane, which is a mimic of her version of Soul Storm. All her other moves are Dark Blast, Dark Miasma and Dark Armor.

So how is it like Ghost Widow again?
  14. Rapthorn

    Soul Control

Actually no I wont edit it. I like the whole "/release_pets" idea.

    Soul Control

Here is my idea for a Primary Set for Dominators.

    Soul Control

Soul Snare: You immobilize a single foe with the souls of the damned. The soul torments the target so much it can bring down flying targets. This power deals Negative Energy over time, but requires multiple applications to affect stronger foes. Damage: Moderate DoT (Negative Energy). Recharge: Fast (4 seconds). Ranged, Moderate DoT (Negative Energy), Foe Immobilize, -Fly.

Tortured Soul: You order a damned soul to torment your enemy, draining them of life. Damage: Moderate Damage (Negative Energy). Recharge: Moderate (6 seconds). Ranged, Moderate Damage (Negative Energy).

Soul Storm: Like Ghost Widow, you can summon the souls of your victims to do your bidding. Soul Storm enraptures a single target, Holding them, as their life-force is drained from their body. Damage: Moderate DoT (Negative Energy). Recharge: Moderate (8 seconds). Ranged, Moderate DoT (Negative Energy), Foe Hold.

Soul Tentacles: You can create a cone shaped rift to the Netherworld that allows the souls of the damned to slip into our reality. These Soul Tentacles will snare all foes within range, immobilizing them while they drain their life. Damage: Moderate DoT (Negative Energy). Recharge: Moderate (10 seconds). Ranged (Cone), Moderate DoT (Negative), Foe Immobilize.

Soul Corruption: Using your ability to manipulate and control souls, you warp the souls of your enemies. The affected foes will ignore you and fight their own allies. If you use this power before someone has noticed you, your presence will continue to be masked. The corruption of this power is so severe that when it wears off, the affected foes soul will be weakened and suffers a small DeBuff to Accuracy, Damage and Resistance. You will not receive any Experience Points for foes defeated by a confused enemy. Recharge: Long (90 seconds). Ranged (Cone), Target Confuse, +Special (Foe -Acc, -Dmg, -Res).

Soul Absorption: You drain the essence of all nearby foes’ souls, thus recovering your hit points and endurance. You also gain a slight boost to your Regen and Recovery rates. Enemies suffer from a DeBuff to their Regen and Recovery rates. Recharge: Long. (120 seconds). Point Blank Area of Effect, Self +Health, +Endurance, +Regen, +Recovery, Foe -Recovery, -Regen.

Soul Hurricane: Like Ghost Widow, you can summon the souls of your victims to do your bidding. Similar to Soul Storm, this power enraptures multiple enemies at once, holding them, as their life-force is drained from their body. Damage: Minor DoT (Negative Energy). Recharge: Very Long (240 seconds). Ranged (Target AoE), Minor DoT (Negative Energy), Foe Hold.

Soul Rupture: You use your powers of Soul Manipulation to corrupt your foes’ souls, disorientating them and dealing Negative Energy damage over time. Damage: Minor DoT (Negative Energy). Recharge: Long (90 seconds). Ranged (Target AoE), Minor DoT (Negative Energy), Foe Disorient.

Summon Soul Imps: You can craft three souls into small, dark, but powerful, imps and summon them in a targeted location. The Imps will attack any nearby foes with an array of Dark Powers. Type “/release_pets” in that chat window to release all your pets. Recharge: Very Long (240 seconds).

Soul Imp Attacks: Shadow Punch, Smite, Tortured Soul, Gloom.

Hope you like it. Took me ages!

P.S: A Seconday Power Set is coming soon to go with this so the two go together well.

    ill/rad build

    Hi folks.

Just a little request since we're on the topic of Illu / Rad. Could anyone post a link to a Guide or Build that isn't with IOs (Since I can never afford them)? I would much obliged if someone did.

    Thank you kindly, Rappers.
  22. [ QUOTE ]
I suppose Claws has a few AoE attacks now I think about it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Claws have a Point-Blank Cone, Eviscerate, which can hit up to four foes in front of you and, Shockwave, a ranged-cone which hits anything in front of you. But Shockwave doesn't do a lot of damage. In fact, I am rather disappointed with Eviscerate which claims it does superior damage. It is only 20DMG Points stronger than Focus and that is a high damage attack.
  23. Well when I made a Kin / Psi Defender, I was advised by members of these forums not to take the AoE and cone. Also, when I did actually take Psionic Tornado, it knocked everything backwards which angered quite a few teammates. I didn't however slot them for full damage. I was advised not to do that too.

Ah well. Each to their own.
  24. Me thinks these are the powers to have:

    Storm Summoning:

    Freezing Rain
Hurricane (You have no choice, it is mandatory!!!)
    Tornado
    Lightning Storm

    Psychic Blast:

    Subdue
    Telekinetic Blast
    Will Domination
    Scramble Thoughts

I am not to clear on the other powers in Storm Summoning. But for Psychic Blast, do NOT take the cone and AoE! Damage is horrible! Stick to the single-target moves. And of course for PvE, you want the lovely, pink nuke. If you were to take either the cone or AoE, take the AoE, Psionic Tornado. But don't expect much from it.

Having read that one line, I think I now realize why I chose a Stalker as my AT to get to LV50.

    Golden_Girl will get it.

And on topic, an awesome guide. I like the way it's written. It makes you sound like some wise, old ninja who sits with his legs crossed, floating several feet above the ground, teaching all the noob Stalkers what to do.
