As I mentioned this would make the respecs more accessible and those 647 bids translates into approximately 113.225 billion inf/infamy out of the game if they were sold at 175 million apiece straight up.

Yeah. a tiny influence sink, but one non the less.
  2. Although I've only been involved in the game for a bit over three years, one of the super groups I'm involved in "The Experts of Justice" on the Justice server has been around since Oct. 2004.
  3. Although this would make the respec recipes slightly redundant, why not just have it so you have a flat purchase price in game for a respec in the 175 million influence/infamy range?

This would do two things, A. make respecs more available in the game for those that have already used up their other respecs since respec recipe drops are fairly rare, and B. create an influence sink for those willing to spend the money on lots of respecs.

  5. In general it hasn't greatly effected my toons all that much either. I've had to look at a SD/ build here and there to work around it. If nothing else I figured it was good to bring it to the tank communities attention.
  6. For those that haven't read it, there is a discussion about upcoming changes to the set bonuses from the Blessing of the Zephyr set. There is a planned reduction to the defensive bonuses that are currently being given.

    The thread is here.

Please be aware that soft capped builds using BotZ's will probably not be soft capped anymore.

My point is this... while it certainly wouldn't be popular. It would work. Saying my idea is dumb on the bases that it isn't fair is..well, dumb.

Anywho, enjoy your unchecked hoarding. I know I do. d;D
Uhm? Unchecked hoarding? Isn't there a limit to the storage capabilities of bases? Something like 18 storage bins max, and you get charged by the storage bin already, although it is prestige, right? So... limited storage space. This includes Salvage racks, Inspiration bins and Enhancement bins in that 18 total. In fact the salvage racks hold a maximum of 30 salvage. So, just like your garage it does fill up if you put enough "junk" in it. So. Once all those " hoardlings' " storage bins are filled up... where does the stuff go?

Gosh, back into the world via market or vendor!

    Whooo hooo!

So in reality each SG base might, and I do say might, make a smallish dent in the overall salvage in the game, but considering how many types of salvage in the game there is, just how many "luck charms" do you think any one base would "hoard?" And considering how many recipes call for said "Luck Charms" what would the likelihood they wouldn't be used by some member of the SG anyway?

So, taxing storage on bases? Doesn't solve your "issue".
  8. I've done something similar with my fire/fire/pyre. Unfortunately I can't grab combat jumping/fly like you can so I have issues with immob's, but most often a break free solves that. I may try and fit burn back in or grab CJ, but I haven't convinced myself yet.

Minor point: I'd put the Steadfast -kb in Fire Shield along with the unique. Same amount of slots but with a minor recovery boost by pairing them. It's a trivial amount, but they can add up and you're not giving up anything by doing so.

Build Up: Rectifying Reticle gives a 1.88% s/l defense for two slots.

In general it looks like a fun build.

    Tank Farmer

I'm certainly not arguing whether a scrapper or a fire/kin troller is faster at farming vs. a tank.

The request was about tanks that could be good farmers.

    Not Scrappers.

    Not Controllers.

    Tanks.

You're trying to tell someone who's trying to decide what steak he want's to order off the menu that he should be ordering fish instead. It's not that fish isn't good, but he was asking about steaks.

Your build looks much closer to what I would aim for on Willpower ( 700%+ Regen)

    UnicyleP,

I posted a data chunk in my previous post to illustrate what my thoughts are for an expensive revamp of your build. Although I am Willpower/Fire, many of the set IOs are the same, and the end result for Regen, Defense, HPs and globals are all very similar. Even without the Kinetic combats, if you left 5 pieces of Crushing Impact in the melee attacks, you can have over 20% S/L defense adding in Weave.
I don't mind at all Biospark.

I will say one thing that we've both gotten away from, with your build a bit more so, was Unicyle's desire for a "cheap" build.

Those Kin Combats are pretty expensive and hard to come by last time I checked. Not that the Numina's and LotG's are cheap either.
  11. OK.... I fixed the data chunk in my first post. It's close enough to my first try...

Again, I hope this gives you some ideas.
  12. Big oops on my part. I'll need to rebuild what I'd done in a bit.

    Sorry.
  13. I'm by no means an expert on Willpower, but I'm going to make a small suggestion. IF, and it's a big if, you feel you're managing your endurance well enough to hold off until Physical Perfection dump Stamina.

With Quick Recovery you already have Stamina on "PED's" and you don't loose out on any health/regen bonuses. You do loose a little flight speed bonus, but you can get that back by switching hurdle to swift and slotting in a flight IO.

Well. I took the time to redo your build the way I'd do it to fit in Energy Torrent........

I hadn't meant to do so, but I was trying to figure out how it would work for you and got carried away. This is by no means perfect, but it might give you some ideas.

One of the things that I've included here is the four main accolades: Phalanx, Atlas Medallion, Portal Jockey and Task Force Commander as they will help as well. Take a look. See if it helps.
  14. A couple of things you might want to look at if you already haven't:

Last chance to hit %, accuracy bonus and to hit bonus. They can be monitored so you can see if your accuracy is really that bad.

If you don't know how to do that it's pretty simple. On your power tray open up your power window. At the top of the window click on "combat attributes" and when the window opens left click on "base". Right clicking on "last chance to hit", accuracy bonus and to hit bonus will allow you to monitor them.

This way you'll really be able to see what is going on with your accuracy and to hit. You will know if you're really having accuracy/to hit problems, you're getting de-buffed by the folks you're fighting, or the RNG's keep ruining your day.
  15. I'm not familiar enough with WP to really make huge suggestions, but here's a few things I'd do differently.

    A. I'd take Indomitable Will and 4 slot it with GotA for the +end, +recovery.

    B. Weave is over slotted. Take the endurance, or end/recharge slot and move it to Super Jump. By two slotting BotZ in Super Jump you can get better ranged and nrg/dark defense bonuses, without gimping anything.

    C. I'd take which ever of the two slots I just mentioned that you didn't use for Super Jump and slide it over to Tough, where I'd place a fourth Reactive Armor in there, getting the s/l bonus. (which should soft cap you to s/l.)

    D. And lastly, I'd take the lvl 50 slot you put into Combat Jumping and land it in Physical Perfection with a healing IO. You should still be soft capped to s/l and you've added to your regen.

You are looking at a fairly expensive build over all, even though you've set yourself up with mostly generic IO's. The Kinetic Combat sets aren't going cheap last time I looked. I'm sure there are other things that could be done differently, but take a look at what I've mentioned.
  16. The Ice Pirates of the Caribbean.

Besides the mention of both of CMA's guides, my first reaction was: Why didn't you take Invincibility at lvl 18!!!!

    Questions for you.

    Are you looking for advice?
    Comments?
    Posting this for someone else?

Thought it would look great as wallpaper? Uhm... never mind that last question.

If you're looking for advice I'd recommend taking a look at CMA's two guides to Invul: The First 20 levels, and Invuln and the Defensive Softcap.

Well. That wasn't the reaction I was hoping for when I said I wanted to colorize the ceiling beige.

    Tank Farmer

My Fire/Fire/Pyre does pretty well at farming even though he wasn't planned on being a farmer. Currently sitting at 27% s/l defense and 70% resists he survives quite nicely while mowing down mobs with his AoEs. Not the quickest I'm sure, but he still does pretty well.
  21. The Beauty and the Beastie Boys...

( Ok, so not movie/tv mashup, but couldn't resist. )
  22. I'm not sure if you missed the "humor" in my last post, but I'll restate my position.

I'm fine with more bio space as I typically run out of room as I'm trying to finish a bio here and there.

I think opening it up fully would create long messy bio's from most folks (not all) and create a huge amount of "tl;dr" bio's. There are lots of individuals who are very good at writing bio's, and most who aren't as good as they think they are. (I cross my fingers every time I write a longer one hoping people will find it at least entertaining or amusing.)

Remember, the average writer is average at best. Which means ~50% are better and ~50% are worse.

Well. Beyond personal opinion and thinking opening it wide open would create many "tl;dr" bio's out there, nothing really.

And... no one seems to offer a solid reason to open up bio's wide open, other then creating long winded tripe.

BTW, that last comment wasn't all that serious, so don't take it so. I'm just giving "y'all" a bad time.
