  1. IF you're saying S/L Defensive soft capped, both the builds were. If you're saying S/L resist capped, then no they weren't. You should be a touch clearer about which you're referring to. When I read your response New Dawn, it came across like you were talking S/L Defense the first couple of times.
  2. Well, I'd forgotten to mention that they didn't need the -kb IOs in an Invulnerable tank as Unyielding covers that need quite nicely. I also didn't mention that they might want to take Res. Energy earlier in the build. So you helped cover those things.
  3. Not bad for a first try.

A few things to note right off the bat: You've gone over The law of 5 with set bonuses. Basically you can only get 5 of the same type of set bonus. With the 6th or more, the addition set bonuses won't count. For example, you've got 6 sets of Reactive Armor. The 6th set is giving you no set bonuses at all. You can check when you've hit the Law of 5 within Mids. On the tool bar click on Window, and then Sets & Bonuses (Ctrl+B ). Anything in red has gone over 5 set bonuses.

The next is to look a touch closer at some of the set bonuses you're trying for. Invulnerability is a Typed Defensive set, so you should look for more set bonuses that have Typed bonuses that are larger then the Positional Defense bonus. So Obliteration in Fire Sword circle isn't giving you as large a typed defense bonus as you could be getting.

(Sets like Shield Defense, and the soon to be proliferated tank set Super Reflexes, benefit more from Positional Defense set bonuses then Typed.)

With all those things in mind I did a quick change up on your build. This isn't perfect, but it will soft cap you to s/l/e/n with one in range. I do suggest you get the 4 accolades I've clicked on in the Accolades area.
Don't take this as verbatim, but this should give you some ideas of what you can achieve.

  4. Rangle M. Down (Wrangle 'em Down) is also my global. At one point early in my CoH history I'd considered changing it to something else but could never decide on something that I preferred more. I don't even recall what the original Rangle character was, as he was deleted a long time ago.

I've changed a few character names, but usually to fix typos on my part. (Thank goodness for the free character transfers before Going Rogue) The only real name change was taking my Kat/Reg scrapper from Pink Leather to Rosa Blades. Pink Leather was originally created to pair with a tank named Pastel Lace that was created by an in game friend of mine. That player has been fairly inactive in game over the last two years, so it was time for my character to move on.

The only difficulty I have with being one of the two high profile Chaos' on Justice is that sometimes I get mistaken for the other one. Repeatedly.
Chaoslord != (Chaos Creator && Chaos Almighty)

Chaoslord? Is that you? Oh, nvm.
  6. Wait? It's not Bee Style! Dang.
  7. Tanker Tuesday, a player run event, returns to Infinity on August 23rd.

As always the gathering starts at the IP gate in King's Row at 9pm ET/6pm PT. All tanks of all levels are welcome. If anyone could mention this on the Infinity global channels, that would be much appreciated.

    Hope to see you there.

Alternativly, you could just wait 2-3 months while paying your cable fee's to stream that one item?

The extra fee you're mentioning? I believe that's called Pay Per View or On Demand services.

Wait a few months and it will be broadcasted on the other cable channels.

This is no different than a gym membership. Just because you pay to join and again each month to stay an active member doesn't mean you own the gym equipment.
You could also go with a Cable Modem example.

Yes I paid for the cable modem. But if I don't pay the monthly fee I sure as heck won't be getting any internet access. So yes, I own the cable modem(like the CoH game client). But without paying the monthly, it just takes up space and doesn't do much beyond that.

Thinking I SHOULD get my cable for free because I bought the cable modem from the cable company? Now see, that's just crazy talk.

I'm pretty confident that if I wanted to I could get money, but I would rather have a good game that kill it to try and teach a lesson.

You're not bothering to admit the possibility of being wrong.
Where have I said anything beyond the two links?

You are reading things into what I may, or may not have meant by those two links. That in and of itself is very, very telling.

  15. First of all I do want to say I'm not interested in the PvP aspect of most games. It just doesn't "work for me".

I would like to see the PvP portion of the game stronger for those that do like it. Even though they are a smaller portion of the population, I do have friends within the game who do enjoy PvP and don't want to take that away from their enjoyment of the game. That being said, I don't think making the Shadow Shard a PvP zone works. I think making it a Co-op zone is more desirable, at least in my mind.
  16. Re-affirming your Vigilance/Rogue status does give you 50 reward merits as well.
No, you can't turn them in for A-merits as a Vig/Rogue, but if you could, A-merits cost exactly 50 reward merits and 20 Million. So should you chose to go fully hero, or back fully Villain, you've at least got the Reward Merits to turn in for an A-Merit.
  17. You mean these threads?

Started 8-11-2011: Not Exactly a Powerset Respec

Started 8-7-2011: Unlimited Respecs in Starter Zone

Started 7-29-2011: A Premium feature I'm surprised no one has asked for with the new F2P System

Nope. No one's suggested anything like this recently.
  18. Parry adds +lethal/+melee defense per successful attack. Same with Divine Avalanche.
  19. Interestingly enough there's something going on. Watching the combat attributes as I'm attacking the +10% will drop briefly, right before landing the kick. If the kick "misses" the defenses won't drop until the 10 seconds are up. I'll have to make note of that over on the beta forums.

I'll have to double check it again on Beta. I was finding that using only Storm Kick as my attack, and having a string of successful attacks, that the defense would still drop for a moment, even right after a successful hit.

Playing with MA: Storm Kick on beta I've noticed the +def timing doesn't seem to be getting refreshed every time you land a successful hit. Even in the midst of numerous successful Storm Kick attacks the defense will drop briefly until the next successful hit.
  22. Uhm. How is this NOT a powerset respec request?
