  1. Old fashioned....

Lately I've decided I like two Cyto's, one membrane, and the LotG: 7.5% recharge in Invincibility.
  2. As Finduilas mentioned /Dark Melee will allow you to be more survivable. Dark Melee is more Single target focused with "one" cone attack. (It's hard to call Dark Consumption and Soul Drain "attacks" because of their very long recharges.)

/Super Strength will allow you to do more Dmg because of Rage, and is a better on AoE once you get Foot stomp.

Neither will get close to the same dmg as a similar brute.
  3. I don't have an Electric/Electric tank, but I do have an Elect/Electric Brute.

Power sink does helps drain them, but between it and your other power's it's still not a quick process compared to Non-melee ATs. I haven't bothered adding in End Mod IO's to help with that, but I will see enemies flat line their endurance mid fight.
  4. Take a look at this discussion about gaming keyboards and macros here:http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=222136

Although the thread is discussing the Logitech G15 keyboard and macros, it's possible that you can do similar things with the Nostromo software.
  5. Nice Sango. You could always throw those into a popmenu and have a single macro for each trial.
  6. Hyperbole in every direction aside, Synapse and company have said they're going to look at tanks and see " if " anything needs to be fixed or changed.

We can argue all we want, but in the end they've got the data. They will decide what should, or should not be done. IF they feel the caps for brutes are to high, they'll change them. IF they feel tanks aren't doing enough damage, they'll change it. IF they feel both are sitting where they'd like them... they'll change something else...

In the meantime, I'm off to find a quieter sandbox to go play in. For those that remain I'd like to mention a quote my wife found recently "wash your hands and don't eat the poo."
  7. The first three trays on your power select window are the only ones that have the default key combos. Nothing else has a "chord key" attached. You don't have to use macros, you can use keybinds and instead of trays assigned to the numbers, make them combined with letters. You might also want to see if the Popmenu function would do what you wish.

Question: do you have a way to assign macro's to the keys outside the game?

For example: I've got a Logitech G15 keyboard with 18 additional "G" keys. The game itself doesn't recognize the individual "G" keys, but I can assign "text strings" to them. So I've written the text equivalent of an in game macro/bind that selects a team mate and executes a power in a particular tray and slot. (the first keystroke selects the teammate, the second executes the power). This is outside the game macro system. Hitting the specific "G1-G18" key is the same as having created a keybind or macro in game.

I'm not sure if this helps or not, but certainly hoping to be helpful.
  8. Although the Enzymes would be better, my current preference is to slot 2 Cytoskeletons, one Membrane, and the LotG:+7.5% recharge in Invincibility.

    Why no Claws?

  10. For the Performance Shifter: As with any proc in a auto power, it will check every 10 seconds to see if the "chance" occurs. The P-shift proc is based on your current max endurance total. So if you're at base end of 100, you'll get 10 end back when it procs. If you've gotten a few accolades and a few set bonuses that raise your endurance max to 112.5, you will get 11.25 endurance back.

The way it's been described mathematically; you can expect the performance shifter to be approximately the same as .2 end/sec recovery over time.

As for the Panacea, I'm not sure.

    Why no Claws?

Because Claws would be Overpowered on a Tank!

Ok, just kidding. As Dechs mentioned, they haven't been proliferated yet.
  12. I think what you're looking for is here:

    http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Powexe...ash_Command%29

you can make a bind using this:
    • /powexec_tray slot tray
  13. I'll echo Hyperstrike's mention of Call Me Awesome's Invulnerability guides in the tanker's guide area. Read them. They are... uhm... er... awesome!

Secondly, I will mention that you don't need to put a fly IO into fly. Currently, no matter what level you're at, fly's speed will be capped for you. Either put an end mod in it, or the Winter's gift 20% slow resist in there.
  14. It comes down to both personal preference, and or build choice. Some build won't use a third slot in hasten because they need it else where, or don't need that extra "iota" of recharge on hasten. Some prefer to get hasten up "that much quicker" and will use the third slot. That can end up adding some measure of dps etc. to the build. Is it always the perfect solution? Not always. There are certainly other ways to get more recharge into a build, and those can all add up nicely should you choose to go that route. Layering all those in, as well as 3 slotting hasten is also "a choice".

The OP, unfortunately, seemed to come across with the attitude that no one here "gets it" when it came to how to slot hasten. For the most part we do "get it". And most of us like to 3 slot hasten most of the time.

As for the Green vs. Red numbers. Min/maxers prefer to see the red numbers as it means they're pushing it to the limit. Green isn't "the max".
  15. The attempt to show Frietag the "Archimedes Principle" at work was fowled up once everyone heard he was in zone.

This is also my "presumption" as well.

As Impish Kat mentioned, I find the delayed hit effect, animation, sound and "orange numbers" when you've got momentum a bit immersion breaking. I mentioned this in the Titan Weapons beta bug report thread shorty after TW went live.

I find the other sloppiness to the arc animations etc. less immersion breaking as I'm distracted by the delays, etc.

As for you "not hallucinating, or being crazy"... I leave that up for others to decide.
  18. I'm torn by that statement.

Personally I don't believe Dark Armor and Cloak of Fear were designed to be used at the same time. Mind you, I certainly could be wrong. That being said, I can see the attraction of doing so. For now I have yet to find a compelling enough reason to include CoF on any of my DA toons.
  19. HEY!

He did mention he watched Back to the Future Pt. 1 last weekend, so it's a start. "D
  20. Ok. Version 2 of this. Any other mistakes, or additions you'd prefer to see? And if it's things like Dull Pain, etc. how would you like to see that included?

Also, not sure about Dark Armor's toggles. The three resistance toggles are 0.104 * 2 * 3 = 0.624. Cloak of Darkness is 0.26. Oppressive Gloom is 0.078. Cloak of Fear is 0.52. I'm not sure how to end up with a combination that gets to 0.84.

Also, Energy, Electric, and Willpower all might as well be zero, since all of them get some form of recovery that equals or exceeds its own endurance costs. Slotted quick recovery is worth about 0.98 eps for Willpower. Energy and Electric's endurance is just short of unlimited once powers are slotted up.

Fiery Aura also generates more endurance than it burns with consume, although its a little trickier there because of the very long recharge and the fact that most of the recovery is in the big burst and not the recovery over time (in fact, while the recovery over time is good in that it isn't wasted when consume fills the end bar, it actually represents only about 1.25 endurance per target hit, or about 2.5 endurance per target hit slotted).
Clerical error on my part. I had put Cloak of Darkness in at .21 end/sec, not the correct value of ~.26 end/sec. I'll update the jpg later.

How would you include a value for Dull Pain? Would you want to see the same for Earth's Embrace?

I wasn't sure how to account for Willpower, Electric, Energy, and Fiery Aura in the manner you described. Even Ice has a great end recovery tool in Energy Absorption. (speaking of Ice Armor, it seems I didn't include it in the spreadsheet.. sigh) While the aforementioned sets do have end recovery tools this was more about what the endurance "usage" each set has, not the recovery each of those particular sets can achieve on their own.
  22. Since there continues to be a discussion about endurance costs of sets, etc. I threw this together. I know it's not perfect, but this might help compare apples to apples better.
NOTE: With Shield Defense and Super Reflexes; I included a "end/second" cost if Practice Brawler and Active Defense were able to achieve a 120s recharge. (Basically averaging the activation cost across 120s.) It's not perfect, but I did wish to include an end cost for them.
Am I missing anything? Is there any other details I should add or change? Should I change the formatting?

Addendum: I've got a clerical error on the end/sec cost of Cloak of Darkness that I'll fix at some point, so the end/sec totals on the Dark Armor numbers aren't correct. Mah bad. I also forgot to include Ice Armor's totals, which will also be included when I update. Corrected version here: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showp...&postcount=213
