  1. IF, and it's a HUGE MONSTROUS KLUDGE of an IF, they could manage it, I would suggest they do the following.

    A. Leave the current base mess as is. Don't touch it. Don't change it. Leave the Jenga on fire as it is.
    B. Create a new system along side the old legacy system. Create a way to use both. (make any new SGs only have access to the new system.)

This would allow two things. One, no one would lose anything from the original base, and would have the ability resell bits and pieces off while regaining prestige. This would also allow time to move storage items from the old base to the new base. Maybe create a way to convert legacy base items into new base items. Akin to how you can convert base salvage into brainstorms.

Mind you, I really don't think this would ever happen, but there you go.

Yay for the rest of us who have a sense of humor.

With SS designed around having Rage up, just replacing it with build up probably wouldn't work and would probably make it under perform for scrappers.
  4. If I recall correctly, the proc will net you ~.2 end/sec recovery over the long haul. Not guaranteed, but averaged across time.

According to mids: a lvl 50+5 End Mod in superior conditioning will add 7.65 points to your endurance total, which will translate approximately to a .12 end/ second recovery improvement. That is if I'm reading things correctly. This is without any Incarnate powers modifying things further.
  5. As the title says, today is Warboss' (aka NuclearMedicine on the forums) birthday.

So happy birthday you rusty old...

Really? Hm... I'd like to see that math. Can you show me an example. Now you've got me curious.

Agreed. At this late in the game, that ship has already sailed.

Rakeeb "could" do a 20 page Excel report that's set to the 14th decimal place, accompanied by a 6 hour Power Point presentation showing just how unbalanced the game is. That wouldn't necessarily mean it was a great, much less a good idea to "fix it", as they define it, at this point.

  9. Be that as it may, I also find the process of using those powers a bit frustrating to use even while soloing. The seem to be a bit... "Kludgy", to me, compared to most other powers within the game.

On the second bit; I'll still drag my Phantasm along even though it may not be all that useful on fast moving teams.

  12. Back to the original subject:

Even with the the updates coming in i24, to me Devices and Traps still feel like they could use more tweaks. Don't get me wrong, Trip Mine and Time Bomb both have their uses and are great in their own way, but they could be improved. As has been said before, on fast moving teams I rarely bother with them as I feel like it's a waste of time.

Was not sure about the Resist energies and Elements. I'll postpone them further down on the build. Thanks.

Can't believe I forgot to add in a Kismet for my build. Thanks for the catch. Ended up dropping tactics so that I can pick up Smite.

For your build do you believe that your end will be sustainable? That's one of my main concerns for my build. I would prefer to set it up where I am not having to keep a stash of blues.
I try and craft my builds to be end sustainable, but I'm not always as successful as I'd like to be. This build's a bit on the edge. Even without Incarnates, and with the 4 Accolades it's getting a 2.34 end/sec recovery differential, not counting what you would get from the P-shifter Proc. With Agility Core Alpha it's up to 2.53, but that also ups the attack rate. That being said, the end usage in the attacks vs. the recharge I'm seeing does concern me. If it ends up being a problem, I'd probably switch to Cardiac, or end up boosting the enhancements that provide end redux in the attacks. (Siphon Life and Shadow Maul are the two I'd focus in on first.)
Taking another look at Shadow Maul I'm going to switch out the Erad: Dmg/Rech and the Multi-Strike; Dmg/End for Scirocco's Dervish: Dmg/End and Acc/Dmg/End. It will lose a little bit of recharge for better end-recharge ratio.
  14. Without anyone in range of Invincibility your defenses will be about 10 pts lower. Turning off Invincibility in Mids will reflect that.
  15. Also, someone had put together a Mid's Wineskin wrap at one point. You can locate the thread discussing it here.

Not sure if you'll be able to update to the latest version of Mids using it.

There's a link to the App there as well. Best of luck. Glad you're happier with your tank.

As has been mentioned, there are a few tools out there that you can use, provided you're not on a Mac.

Titan Sentinel can be downloaded here. Running this, you can export your current character build to both Mids Hero Planner, or to the forums. (Tools-Utilities-Export)

Mid's Hero Planner can be downloaded here and import it into Mids so you can see what your build totals look like. (Import/Export-Import from forum post) There's a "View Totals" button which will create a pop up window.

If you want to you can use Mid's to view other builds in the forums for comparison, or to get ideas on how to improve your build(s).

Again, it's all up to you how far you want to go. You can buy recipes via the Auction House, Reward or Hero merits. You can also get some items with Astral and Empyrean's. Enhancement converters are also helpful in their own way.
Glad no one mentioned any of that earlier in the thread... *cough*, *cough*, *cough*....

    Filling Psy hole

Of course a properly slotted Force Field Controller would give them around 28% defense to All typed(with the exception of Psi) and Positional Defenses while they're inside the dispersion bubble. It would still give him nearly 12% Psi defense inside dispersion.

Those numbers on a defender would be higher. Around 42% defenses to all but Psi while inside Dispersion, and over 17% to Psi as well.

  22. One attack until lvl 16?
    Two attacks until lvl 38?
Hope you have vet powers, or don't Exemplar down that often.

Resist Elements and Resist Energies can be put later in the build.

I rarely like using Maneuvers on a tank, to much endurance for what you get in return. I hate using Tactics or Focus Accuracy when I can get nearly the same return in one IO: Kismet +6% Unique(Although it says accuracy, it's really a to hit boost.) for one enhancement slot. You will also be getting plenty of +to hit the more in range of Invincibility.

For comparison, here's my planned Inv/Dark tank build. Leveling up I used Smite, but since I have 4 vet attacks I didn't worry about having it in this revised build. Although I typically don't stress about getting F/C defense soft capped, I did in here without compromising the rest of the build. I went Arctic Mastery as it fit thematically.

Take a look and see what you think. Hopefully you'll find something in here that helps.

  23. I understand where your coming from. While I was leveling up my Fire tank I rarely had issues against any groups I fought, with the exceptions of Carnies. Then I finally got around to playing the "brand new" ITF that had been out for about a month or two. I can honestly say I was horribly embarrassed by how poorly my Fire tank did. He was "owned". At the time he wasn't all that IO'd out, and didn't have tough and weave. I spent 3+ months lurking around the Tanker forums to see what I could learn and how I could "fix" my tank. He performs much better now, but I still get a little hesitation when I bring him along for the ITF.
  24. Well, whatever your final build decision is, hope you have fun with the revised tank.
