Quote:Question : When you say you bought VIP and it won't let you apply, are you talking about this?...and for some reason it won't allow me to apply the VIP status to the account, which is why I'm STILL having to post in the "All Access" forums. I've sent emails to their "support" but have basically got the boiler plate auto-replies back with nothing tangible actually done about it.
Okay, I'll be the first to admit that the City of Heroes support is usually less than supportive at best, but surely when there's money involved they should be a little bit more on the ball?
My question is, how long does it usually take for an actual human being rather than a bot to go through account issues like this and fix them? Having a non-VIP character fully slotted with invention origins and unlocked Incarnate slots is like having a car without an engine. Doesn't matter how hard you push that accelerator, you aren't getting anywhere fast.

If so, that does have the line in bold print :
The City of Heroes Freedom™ VIP Starter Kit can only be used to activate a NEW account and cannot be applied to existing VIP or Premium accounts. -
You mean it tells you to exit after you do the files?
Several missions in praetoria do that - you usuallyhave NPCs coming after you at that point. -

The sheath is known as "The Lady of the Lake's Secret Compartment". Distant relation to "Victoria's Secret Compartment".
-
Celestial, Ascension - those are "bought" sets, not "VIP" sets like Defense. Even though you must be VIP to acquire them.

Hocketown - if you want, try looking up www.repeat-offenders.net (global channel "Repeat Offenders").We play on Virtue, Freedom, and Justice mostly.
On an unrelated note, my dog is trying to smash my toes by dropping his tennis ball on them
Kinda ouch actually. -
This is not a free to play game.
This game uses a hybrid money model - it is still mostly a subscribers game with significant free play options. -

They want to. But they have to balance the demands on their time.
I think the dark powers are more likely to be first up due to dark control. -

Anyone else read the title and think "we need a magic dance?"
-
That's "canned" police chatter.

So far the only change is Going Rogue no longer has the bonus 2 slots if you apply the code Post-Freedom

Looked like it. But with how I save money, it'd have to be my tax return - and I've already used some of that, and the rest I'm hoping to split between savings, the Pummit, and a smaller toy or two.

I know of at least two "magic hacker" type books.
Both have some poor mundane schmuck pulled from our world to another.
One is Rick Cook's Wizard's Bane
That's ones interesting because complex spells take on a form...
His Rapid Deployment Recon Drone (R2D2) takes on a familiar form...
Then there is S. Andrew Swann's Broken Crescent.
Guy gets put into a world where ages ago, due to two gods making a bet, man went from enslaved to the enslaver of the world's original humanoid race, and did some nasty magic on them. And so the magicians of that world hate change and do not allow research.
Also, the guy happens to mention he (as a former black hat hacker) used the name Azrael - a name auto translated to "Angel of Death" by the mages' artifact (as they don't speak the hero's language), the name for the figure the original race's god gave to the tall, pale skinned human "who would teach them more of his language (the magic language) than even he could".
Anyway - in both books the "Magic Language" tends to follow the rules of good computer programming.
In the later the guy even designs a virus -
There is no way to match the original colors - the alternate versions are all based off two colors (basically) while the original power animations have no such limit.
As for getting close, not sure which ones are closest. Maybe try poking around in the art forum. -
Shards and Threads drop based on mob rank (minons, Lts, etc) - higher rank mobs drop more often.
Shard Components are tied to the TF you run, but thread components are random. As long as you are active in a trial, you should always get a component drop table - which one (Common/Uncommon/Rare/Very Rare) is random.
If you stand around, you'll tend to get the 10 thread reward on a trial. -
Note however if you fall enough (and are low enough level, 50's tend to not need to worry that much) there a limit on the damage, it cannot bring you below 1 hp (even if already damaged; this is not via the one-shot code).

The best part was when Posi chimed in on the Ustream chat (not on video, the actual chat room) and how happy he was to do work for Zwill while Zwill unboxed a new toy.
I wouldn't mind one, but I'd want at least the 13" model... with more HD space, I know how fast I fill that up X.X -
Quote:Good people there, and the higher-ups tend to do stuff for the workers, from what I've seen.Falcon Northwest machines are outstanding in my experience (from build quality POV), but you pay through the nose (and out the ***) for them.
I occasionally deliver food there -
One, these are not temp powers - that's why they show up under "inherent" (to clear up some terminology).
Two - each power granted this way is a variation on an actual temp power. Is the two sands of Mu character a hero? There is a mission hero-side that has the actual temp power "Sands of Mu"
Right click ->Info on the "Sands of Mu" under temp powers in the power window and see if it lists a duration - if so, you just happen to have both the vet power and the temp power. -
Can't recall specifics, but I do believe that one had different effects for villain vs hero ats.

Quote:Modeling is not the same as drawing, Blue.I am a bit of an artist. Here is the "trick" to drawing feet. Or really anything. Do not "draw feet." Take a few colored pencils. A good eraser, and a smudging tool. Have a friend with a few minutes prop up a foot on a pillow while they read/have tea. Now. DO NOT draw the foot. Pick the 3 largest areas of the item you are looking at (in this case a foot) and quickly and lightly color in those values in the correct physical relationship to one another. There will be a lot of white space, its cool. Use the eraser to better shape the areas. Now, repeat. Now start very lightly coloring a few connecting areas between the three shapes. Big Shadows? Glowing bright areas? Concentrate on Value and positional relationship. Add a few details. Done. Seriously, dont overdraw it. The human mind looking at it will pick out a foot. If you try for photographic realism you are doing yourself no favors.
