I seem to recall hearing something w/power customazation was going in... don't hink it was full custom, but a few options a least. Could be wrong though. Atmittedly, I have nver heard him soon anything on that, so don't hold me to it.

Odd, the first time I recall hearing about CoV I recall hearing mention of putting out the areanas beforehand to allow limited PVP.

Not only will beta be more than a few days... But only time on CoH since it went live counts, aka beta don't count for it.

I get the feeling what is ment by EpicATs accessible to everyone, is that they won't require you have a level 50. Somehting like having a certain number of TFs done or a special TF...

I should not have to take SS just to get to my door. No one should ever have to take a power to just get to a door, especially in a low level zone.

And don't forget... having to pop a luck or two, turn on your travel power, and some sort of Def buff (shadowfall for me ususally as it is Def and stealth) before you exit a mission in those zones so you can run away from the level 20s outside your mission door when you are level 14

Unless I am mistaken, the biggest thing about the Beta for Euro servers is to tweak some setting son the serverst that they need a working setup to do, that will cary over to CoV, and to make sure the servers work right in the first place - Basically stress testing them.

[/ QUOTE ] Not for sure. I know of a magizine that had extreme problems when it changed hands and the laws in Europe made it a long and difficult to get the subscriber info and such transfered, people where even having trouble getting their money back when they wanted to cancel.

Our GMs are staffed up to have decent response during the frenetic times (generally just after an Issue launch or other big (or popular/unpopular) change) and this is part of why they're really quick off peak. That's aided by the fact that COH has the lowest average customer call rate per user I know of in the industry, specially for it's young age. Either we have good, simple design or the smartest users, take yer pick.

How is the map patch not a derirvative work? It is almost identicle to the regular maps, with a few modifications. It was MADE FROM ( read: Derived) from the game files. I seriously doubt there is a court or board that would support that position of the patch not being derivitive.

And for the whole this is not modifiying the client? The client IS the City of Heros folder. Whne I use either a sound mod or the map patch, my client performs differently - because it HAS been modified.

Now, I don't care/understand this move of banning such threads/discussion on this board. It gives them legal highground in any of several possible instances, and makes it more consistant for them to say this now, then have to change their stance later if something comes up.
