Dude try actually using a CURRENT picture of him. An old avengers comic is your proof that he uses a shield? Your joking right? You even read the comics with him in them recently? NO SHIELD. Nuff said. So just stop. Its sad.
[/ QUOTE ]
Someone needs a timeout.
[/ QUOTE ]
No, someone needs a padded cell and a thorazine drip to deal with his COMPLETE lack of a grasp on reality.
A comic book cover and several other pictures aren't proof of a comic book character using a shield in comic books?
Man, that's levels of stupidity I can't even fathom.
[/ QUOTE ]
And you have been on the net how long, Bill? -

The problem is ONLY that scrappers, as an AT, don't need more blades; they have already got claws, katana, and broadsword. What scrappers need is more unarmed combat, probably, or something "different". Stalkers also are fairly well stocked with blades, having ninja blade and claws, but having a 3rd option works well for them.
But Brutes and Tankers can definitely use the Blades option! Neither has any (well, Tankers have Axe, if that counts, but it doesn't really).
[/ QUOTE ]
Right. And you know what would have happened if they had simply announced that Dual Blades were only coming for Tankers and Brutes?
You guessed it! We would be hearing cries of complaint from people demanding that Stalkers and Scrappers should get Dual Blades too.

Because the board software chains posts together, and if the original post in a chain is deleted, all the chained posts are. Which is why the mods should edit out the content of objectional posts, and not butcher conversations like this.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, we know Lighthouse and Ex prefer to edit, if possible - but if it's bad enough they just prune.
And they set the tone for the moderators, I am sure. -
[ QUOTE ]
They could do rare Procs that add a perma type to an attack.
[/ QUOTE ]
You mean change the damage type of the attack it's in? I don't think it is possible with the current engine. That special would have to go and take away damage, and then add the exact same back but in a different type. -
[ QUOTE ]
Here, I'll make it easy.
"The city council and mayoral elections of 1936 swept a platform of pro-hero candidates that resulted in the passage of the Citizen Crime Fighting Act of 1937. This law made it legal for vigilantes to bring criminals to justice as long as they followed the same restrictions police officers use."

So, shoot to kill, not to maim.
Except, with the excellent healing about now days, you could get away with maiming, now, I think -

I like Harley, but my girlfriend dosen't like when I talk about it.
BackAlley has this Harley costume in a bag he keeps under his desk that says "private no look." Sometimes it smells sweaty.

Two things :
1) And people wonder why it's against the rules to call out the devs!

in reply to virago's message how about instead of just a rmt button how about making it more helpful by making it a spammer button so it can cover ALL spammers, i'm getting spammed for more than just RMT, getting danged tired of those tells saying please join team long enough for getting a higher bodycount in mission. but don't intend to let you enter mish without getting kicked from team.
UGH those people tick me off but i believe those are the ones who farm for illegit purposes.
[/ QUOTE ]
Unless they are continually asking you - even after you say no - then it isn't spamming.
If they keep on spamming you with it, however, then it is HARASSMENT. Like the already existing radio button in the petition window. -
[ QUOTE ]
One tiny question. After a /ignore_spammer is it better to send a petition or a bug-report? Until now I have been using the bug-thing, because I don't want to waste an in-game GM's time on realizing he shouldn't have to personally assist asap.
(And please PLEASE! stop sending a survey every single time I send a bug! All I get to hear is they forwarded to a specific section of the company and never hear from it again. There's not much to survey about that, lol)
[/ QUOTE ]
Bugs go to the devs - if you are filing BUG reports to report RMTs, then Cryptic has to go and forward it to back to NCSoft for it to do any good. And it just sends a bunch of info not needed (where you are, facing, bloodsugar levels, etc.).ds
RMTs are not programming issues, they are people issues - you need to petition so it goes to NCSoft's CS department. -

sorry i got one more question i couldnt find on the other forum, has there been some kind of time frame when the transfer is available life a named month preferably
[/ QUOTE ] Most likely (no promise here) before October - if just for the Halloween event. -
[ QUOTE ]
any idea if this transfer will cost money and if so how much.
[/ QUOTE ]Lighthouse has a FAQ out there, I think it is even still sticked in the test forum.
Recommendation - bookmark both the Dev and Community Rep digests - and read it every day. Helps keep you on top of things. -
[ QUOTE ]
Then, CS is going to have to waste the time to verify it, find out that it's not true, then the reporter gets away scot-free.
[/ QUOTE ]
Why do you think the reporter would get away scot-free?
I have no doubt they keep records of this kind of thing - and if they can't find anything that proves you were spamming, then CS notes it in the reporter's file. They do this to you, or other people, enough times, and they get in trouble. Or, if they are stupid enough to report you after harassing you, then CS goes and in and finds that out, they just get themselves in trouble. -

This thread makes me appreciate that, about twice a year, I get a call from my bank saying "There is a US company called NCsoft that has placed a charge on your card - is this legitimate?" There are few times I'd say that Australian banks have offered excellent customer service, but every time I get one of those calls I am impressed.
I much prefer that to the 'deny now, fix later' attitude that the US banks seem to be taking.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, and hopefully my bank either a) does the same, or b) doesn't challenge it since it has been occurring since mid-way 04. -

Besides, EvilGeko and Angry-Citizen would kidnap me, lock me in a room and do horrible things to me.
[/ QUOTE ] I wonder if they'd charge admission for that. I'd pay.
[/ QUOTE ]
OK, so let's just say, hypothetically purely hypothetically, this were to happen. What sort of admission fee would you pay?
[/ QUOTE ]One billion quataloos.
Or maybe five bucks, if I am feeling rich. -
[ QUOTE ]
I hate to say it, but no, I do not have mind control over everyone in my household, and I doubt anyone else does either.
[/ QUOTE ]
You don't have to have anyone else on your credit card, though. And if a CC company caused me to lose my account, and I couldn't get it back, because they allowed someone not authorized to do a charge-back, they would be paying me every cent I ever spent on the game back. -
[ QUOTE ]
So now that you are admitting that credit card "issues" do happen, does this mean that you will reverse your draconian policy and allow Phantastic back into the game again?
Or will NCSoft continue with it's "One mistake and your account is locked forever" policy?
[/ QUOTE ]
Totally different scenarios - this one is to prevent fraud, and isn't black-balling NCSoft.
A charge-back puts a black mark on the company. -
Only U.S.A., as far as I know.
-
[ QUOTE ]
Sorry to break up the conversation, but since the rest of my issue has been here and people have been giving suggestions, I thought I should put the final event here.
I just logged on tonight on one server and all of my missing characters are now back. I still don't know why they disappeared or why they're back, but it looks like the issue is resolved.
[/ QUOTE ]
Woohoo! Party Time! (You're buying, right?) -
[ QUOTE ]
I had a situation where after 2 year of quarterly payments through my Debit Card I I encountered a situation where, because my Bank was reporting an erroneous (old) balance the Payment rejected. Since then NC Soft has Refused to take this Card as payment regardless of balance. Forcing me to buy game Time cards each month (I can only find 30 day in Stock locally in Cleveland)
[/ QUOTE ]
So what did the billing department say about why they won't take it?
Only reason I could think of would also result in your account being banned. -
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
If you do a bit of web searching you can find some discussion and posts about credit card fraud in that "other" MMO. It's really an industry wide issue and not specific to NCsoft.
[/ QUOTE ]
True enough Lighthouse...but it still doesn't answer the question regarding why a number of people, who are with different financial institutions and have never had any problems using their credit card for their NCSoft payments in the past, are just now starting to encounter problems. Again, it just seems a little weird to me that all these financial institutions would change their fraud polices around the same time.
[/ QUOTE ]
I do believe they have said that they (NCSoft) have NOT changed how/where from the billing comes from.
And yes, it is VERY likely that the banks would all change their policies at the same time for the same thing - they are in the Money Business, and many if not all will have the same basic policy. And they share fraud alerts/info - your back, my back kinda thing.
The big difference between one financial institution and another tends to be the implementation/customer service. -
