Interesting! I may have to test out GR for a bit today. (Providing I get in with the rest of the vets and loyalty peeps)
Should be fun to test out the new 1-20 content with some mixed teams!
I was mostly looking forward to the Incarnate stuff, but I'm patient! As long as it's before March of next year. -

For me, I'm not in the beta, but I'm looking forward to see GR fresh and hopefully major bugs free when I get back from the cottage. -
Grats!! I tried taking him down solo with my Fire/shield but didn't use the same tactics.. He hits hard when a hit does register lol.
I've started AV solo attempts recently with my Fire/Shield and took down Requiem although I used minions as AAO fodder. Ended up using a couple insps, but he dropped pretty fast.
I do agree that its a rush when you solo your first av! So much fun!1 -

That's correct - it'd would be if when they added PvP to the game, they didn't provide Arenas or PvP zones.
From what they said at PAX East, the Incarnate system is in two parts - slots to give us more power, and content for us to use the power on - GR was going to give us one slot, but no content to use it on. -
Fury! Thanks for the BUilds! I have BOTH my fire/shield and Elec/Shield using your Expensive builds. My Elec/Shield is a nasty farmer. My fire/shield doesn't do as much on teh AoE side, but I've solo'd a Pylon, Dreck and Requiem from teh Unai Arc so far.
Having a blast! THanks again for the builds! -
heh I knew GR would be released when I was going to be away. Mind you I think having a lakeside cottage for a week easily trumps ANYTHING.

Decades of of zero local TV presence makes the Blackhawks as close to an expansion franchise as an original 6 team could get. All of which makes the revivial just more bitter sweet. Long time fans that refused to patronize a poorly run team are looked down on by people that paid their cash no matter how bad the team was run. The results of the teams success appears to have ruined the enjoyment of that success for those die-hards. I hope that does not happen here if GR turns into a new gloden age for this game.

Toronto (and some would argue Montreal) are the media monsters of hockey. Every players movements are watched, judged, critiqued.
Toronto has stunk so bad in the salary cap era but they still sell out every game yet the upper management doesn't care if they make the playoffs or not.
There was a report done about the Leafs that if they made a decent post season run that after ticket sales/costs etc that MLSE would only break even. So to them, they make MORE money when the Leafs don't make the playoffs, so there is no real rush to get a good team out there.
I for one am glad to see Chicago and Philly in the finals.
As for the OP. I hope it brings in a lot of new players. We all had to learn teh game at one point. With GR these new players will have some vets to help them start up as we'll all be starting from Pretoria to play the new content. -

Yikes, that sucks. You would think that if they were concerned about 5 accounts on one credit card that they would contact you or the credit card company in order to make sure it is legit.
If I was the credit card company and I was able to identify you as the card owner and you said that the 5 subs were YOURS then I don't see what the issue is.
If NCSoft was that worried about credit card fraud then they should have contacted the credit card company and asked if it had been reported stolen. (Companies are allowed to say yes or no without giving out personal information. I used that tactic when I was working in retail loss prevention.) OR NcSoft should have contacted the owners of the accounts to verify them.

I will probably have 2 maybe 3 toons that will become Incarnate. First will be a toss-up between my Elec/Shield scrapper and my Arch/MM Blaster. Depending how things go now I'll have a lvl 50 Fire/Shield scrapper to use as well.

TJs solution didn't work for me.. I'm running Vista 32 at home. Gonna try to reinstall.
Jeez.. not sure what was wrong but it took me a while just to uninstall the damn thing lol. Installing now, and made it past the Cityofheroes.exe.. so thats a good start. -
I'd complain about the changes.. but I can't even log in since for some reason the updater is trying to change my cityofheroes.exe to cityofheroes.old... it has an error and doesn't le t me go any farther...

I just tried to log in. The updater lets me download the patch, but as it applies I get the message "Unable to replace Coh.exe to Coh.old (I shortened the file name) Anyone else have this issue?

I'm looking forward to what the Incarnate system is.
I do hope for I19 that the 10 lvls of Incarnate let you choose how you want to power up your character.
Example: if I have a soft capped scrapper, a defensed based Incarnate power would be somewhat useless. But if we got to choose why type of powers we get that would be great! -
heh if he is about 8 ft tall, looking at his stature 320lbs is rather light!
Look at it this way, I'm 6'3, 220 lbs and I'm still pretty lanky. A beast like him at 8ft tall has to be at LEAST 400lbs maybe even 500lbs.
Other than the nitpicky stuff, the costume and bio look awesome! -
Liek the others said, don't balance shields around IO's. With SO's my Shielder sucks compared to WP with SO's.
