    Elec/SD vs DM/SD

My IO'd Elec/Shield does all the farming for me with the nasty AOE.. but my Io'd Fire/Shield is a beast when it comes to single target. He solo's AVs, Pylons, my Ele/Shield can't do that.. the single target damage just isn't enough.
  2. I'm glad I was able to make a quick appearance. I gave Babs a final salute, then smacked Golden Girl a few times. (Didn't make it into the video)
    It was bittersweet.
  3. Jet lag is no excuse! :P

Enjoy the Con and the M&G everyone. I wish I could be there. Maybe one day Paragon will visit Toronto.
  4. It's probably Dark of the Moon because they couldn't secure the rights to The Dark Side of the Moon.

I'm just going to assume Shockwaves base is on the side of the Moon, not visible from earth.

I can't wait to see it! Hopefully it will be much sooner than later! My Dom is going to have a lot of fun with the new animations! Not to mention the Incarnate stuff! Can't wait to see how powerfull my 50's will get!
  6. Ahh yes.. Should have posted the main page link too. Meh Oh well.
  7. Issue 19: Alpha Strike OverviewThe newest City of Heroes® issue, Issue 19: Alpha Strike, primes players for the new Incarnate system for high-level characters while providing more Task Forces and events that reveal the unfolding Praetorian invasion storyline, alternate animations for character powers, and other game enhancements.

    The Alpha Slot

Issue 19 unveils the long-awaited Alpha Slot*, the first part of the new Incarnate* system that gives high-level characters access to new powers and challenges. Unlocking the Alpha Slot is no easy task. Players must first learn what it means to exceed the definition of Hero or Villain to become an Incarnate. Mender Ramiel in Ouroboros guides players on this journey.

    Two New Task Forces

Challenges already await new Incarnates. The Praetorians have begun their invasion of Primal Earth. Protecting Paragon City™ and the Rogue Isles™ from such overwhelming forces requires the greatest Heroes and Villains to work together. Two familiar faces will help in stopping the invasion: Apex and Tin Mage.

Apex Task Force*: Apex has joined the Vanguard, and he helps organize your team of Incarnates to stop the Praetorian initial assault. Face off against the Anti-Matter Clockwork, War Walkers, and the Arch-Villain Battle Maiden before they can destroy Paragon City. If you succeed in this battle, the war is yet to be won.

Tin Mage Task Force*: The lost hero Tin Mage has returned to help coordinate an assault into Praetoria to stop the invasion cold. Your team strikes into the very heart of Nova Praetoria to confront Neuron, Bobcat, and a Praetorian army.

    New Auras

Issue 19 includes two free auras for all City of Heroes players. These auras are customizable.

Fireflies - Your character can be surrounded by glowing, tintable fireflies.

Snow - Celebrate winter and be showered by snow.

    Praetoria Zone Events*

Live events in Praetoria in which your Resistance or Loyalist character can participate:

The Protest (Nova Praetoria): The angry citizens of Praetoria are staging a protest in Nova Praetoria. Will you join them or shut them down?

Syndicate Takedown (Imperial City): The PPD has found a cell of the Syndicate in the Agilecorp building. The two forces are at a standoff at the base of the building. If you hurry you can capture one of the Syndicate's leaders.

The Great Escape (Neutropolis): One of the Failed Experiments has remained lucid and sane, and appears to have the ability to influence other Ghouls. Informants say he is eager to aid the Resistance in its war against the regime. Will you aid him in his escape? Or will you hunt him down now that he has escaped?

    Fitness Power Pool is Inherent

The Fitness power pool is now an inherent power pool available to all new and existing characters starting from Level 1. Players can freely choose between any or all of the Fitness powers for available character power slots. These powers can be slotted and will accept the appropriate Enhancements.

    Alternate Power Animations

Now players can customize the animation for some characters' powers. Shoot a Psychic Blast or even launch a Fire Breath from your character's hands. Hurl an attack from one or both hands. Select the animations and customize how a character fires off its powers at any Tailor.

The following powers have alternate animation choices:

Primary Sets: Dark Blast, Electric Blast, Energy Blast, Fire Blast, Radiation Blast, Ice Blast, Sonic Blast, Mind Blast.

Secondary Sets: Psionic Assault, Sonic Resonance, Icy Assault, Fiery Assault, Mental Manipulation, Energy Assault, Electricity Manipulation, Integration.

Primal Earth Characters Can Enter Praetoria

Non-Praetorians can journey to Praetoria* through Pocket D.

    More Tip and Morality Missions

All City of Heroes characters can play and enjoy more Tip missions, while City of Heroes Going Rogue™ characters can choose from more missions* that impact a character's alignment.

    Other Enhancements

New Badges: We've added new Exploration badges for hazard zones.

Merged Monorails and Ferries: The Transit Authorities in Paragon City and the Rogue Isles have made major improvements to the monorail and ferry system by merging their respective routes. All monorails can now travel to every monorail station on the Green and Yellow Line, while all ferries can now travel to every ferry station in the Rogue Isles.

Mission Architect Enhancements: The Tunnels and Tech map sets are now available in Mission Architect. You can now also select the Praetorian Clockwork, Destroyers, Resistance, Praetoria Police Department, Seers, Ghouls, and the Syndicate as Mission Architect NPC groups.

ALTERNATE ANIMATIONS!!! My Fire toons will now be able to use firebreath! (Never took it for concept reasons)
  8. If you want to farm and want AoE then go Elec/Shield.

If you want decent AoE and good ST then go Fire or Dark/Shield.
  9. Option 1 for me too.

I'd love to see some updated tech, steampunk, etc. Especially updated hair!

If we go Option 1 everything will look shiney and new to a new player. The vets will just adapt like we have for the last 6 years.
  10. Candlestick has it right. When it comes to weight loss, diet is the most important part of it. Then comes the willpower. How bad do you want to do this?

I was putting on a lot of weight after my wedding. I decided it was time to do something about it and completely overhauled my diet. It REALLY sucked at first. There were a couple times where I had trouble keeping on track. But remember, it WILL get easier as you get into the new and better habits.

If you don't like cooking, you could always use diet shakes. I did that for 3 weeks. For breakfast and lunch I had the diet shakes. (High protien, lots of vitamins) in between you can have a snack or two of fruits, nuts, veggies. At dinner you can have something normal, but healthy.

If you can keep on track, you will notice the weight melting off. There's different types of fat build ups. Short and Long term. Short term burns away very quick, and long term.. well you get the idea. Once you get a bit lighter and the pressure on your back is less then I would start with the seated bike.

I'm 6'3" myself and have a size 14 shoe, so I have a decent idea how annoying it is with the bikes, but depending on the gym you go to they are adjustable.

Also, do you have a partner or someone close who wants to lose weight as well? Doing it with a partner makes things easier as you can cheer each other on.

Lastly, set aside one day/meal as your "cheater" meal. That day you can have the food you love the most. If you try to just eat healthy at all times, eventually you will rebel against yourself and fall back into bad habits.

In the end, do it for yourself, your body will thank you for it.

I hear ya, as a husband of a pregnant wife (our first) I'd also like to think that in that situation I would do the same.

My thoughts are with his family.

I really hate seeing bad things happen to good people.
  12. Hmmm.. too many possibilities.. but lets hope we can still slot stamina. Couple that with the Alpha slots.. NICE!
  13. YEah I'm betting that the Preatorian world itself looks nothing like Primal earth, let alone having the USA being the USA.
  14. Looking at the damaged city... I'm gonna say Praetorian invasion or a TF/Raid to fend off invasion with said characters in the picture!
  15. Radmind

    Mind/Fire

Yes the sleep becomes less usefull on larger teams because of AoE. But Domination + Confuse and Dominate on bosses and Leuts are very handy.

Or sleep the boss and have someone pull the rest of the mob and then save the boss for last.

Mass Hypnosis can give the team a breather too when the multiple ambushes attack.
  16. I went for as much Recharge as I could.. This build is just an idea of what I'm looking for.
Anyone with any suggestions feel free to nit pick.

I'm pretty new to Dominators, but so far I'm really enjoying the one I started.

    Mind/Fire

I've got a lowbie in Praetoria started and so far it's been a lot of fun. THe Sleeps and Confuse can really help when it comes to the larger mobs in GR. (Especially Bosses) A couple Mind Doms on a lowbie team can help you breeze through mishes with little or no deaths.
  18. I'd like to see maybe some new animations for Energy Manipulation. Switch out Total Focus's animation for Eagles Claw or something along those lines.

Maybe a "Hadoken" styled animation for some blaster attacks.

    Please!

I'm not sure of the numbers, but it's pretty high.. But then you all get free University. Those taxes have to go somewhere.

    IN Ontario Canada, it's 13%.

    3 years? Really?

    WElcome home!

I have a feeling this won't be the last person to rediscover COX.
  21. So far I'm waiting to make a Dom for GR. For me it's time to get back to concepts and fun rather than the min/max scrappers of doom!
WHo am I kidding.. Perma-Dom here I come!
  22. My SG mates are all going to roll new toons for GR and then having some be Rogues and some Vigilantes so that we can do both hero and villian content together.
My main hero's will stay hero's and Villians staying redside.
  23. same issue. I could log in earlier.. then got the same crap the rest of you have got. Tried resetting computer, modem and routers. No change.
  24. I'll report people the odd time when it's REALLY blatent and the person running the toon has an attitude. If I can't smack em one, let the GMs do it for me!
