  2. My non Purple but probably pricy build for my Ele/Shield that I'm making. 53% for Melee and AoE defense and 47 for range with 28%Defense and 34% Resist for smashing/Lethal along with some decent recharge. I"ll probably trade havoc for charged brawl though as I hear thats the better power. I can't wait to see how this performs!
I figure the 1.6 Billion I've saved will cover the IO's that I need!

  3. My Current Arch/MM I still have to get a couple IO's in the Build up powers for some small rewards, but you get the idea.

The best Defense is a good Offense!

  4. I took out Aid Self and Other and atted Boxing and Tough. Your defenses stayed about the same but now you have lots more Smashing/Lethal resists. Also took a couple slots from Havoc punch, put in Kinetic combat set. Added the slots to Deflection and put in a LOTG 7.5 and Steadfast resistance IO for some Extra Recovery.
Last I took the 6th slot from Fireball, put it in Combat jumping, added a LOTG 7.5 and traded Posi set for Ragnork.

Also traded fire blast for Melt Armor for some better defense numbers. With the added recharge it shouldn't hurt your attack chain much, if at all, plus its a AOE Debuff power.

The build is more expensive, but the numbers are better IMO.

I do like your build more than mine though! Gonna play with it some more.

Since the nerf to focused accuracy its base slot with an end reduction, especially with getting physical perfection with it as well is really all it needs.

    NEED MORE SLOTS!!! lol

And no charged brawl? ELec on its own is already pretty much hurting on the ST damage IMO. To cut out one of its 3 ST attacks hurts. Not to mention the 3.75% melee or ranged defense you can get out of it.

And yes, I am definitely making a scrapper, cause i want the invuln/elec tank that i've wanted since like issue 2 lol. If you are going to have your's on Freedom I'd love to duo!

Hmm... I could trade out Jacobs ladder for Charged brawl and instead of having the Kinetic combat proc free up that slot too.. THat would give 3 extra slots and keep the Melee defense the same.

My Scrapper is going to be on Justice. I've got almost 1.4 Billion influence waiting for him there, plus Justice likes to do TFs rather fast. Good for the casual player like me!
  6. Here's my Ele/Shield that I'm planning and have enough to probably get all the IO's with the exception of the Purple ones

Which is why I think I'm going to try Ele/Shield/Pyre scrapper in I16. I already have the purpled out Nasty AoE blaster.

From PsychoPez in the PAX Discussion thread.

So, when our group ran over to the CoH booth later in the evening, we had a chance to say hi (and in my case thank) Posi, who was looking very tired but still very personable.

Then Hero-1 Joe Morrissey chatted with us. Future reference for everyone, if you ever get a chance to talk with Joe at future cons, do so. Joe was wired, asked us about our characters and sg, then nearly burst telling us some of the background of Praetoria that's coming out in i16.

I don't want to steal too much of their thunder, so I'll just say this. Joe said they started writing the history of Praetoria from 1896, which is when Marcus Cole was born. And then from there, decided, "If Tyrant existed, would A have happened in history? Yes, or no? Okay, so that changes this, now what would have happened.

All the way up to modern day. And a lot of that is where some of the new factions (he wouldn't say, and only gave hints) arose, as well as how some of the redeeming/corrupting missions will play out. Some things will be vary, "Do you want me to kill this despot running this area? Because he's a total jerk, but he's also the only thing keeping the civilians alive. Do you want freedom, or do you want to live?" type of decisions.

I'll have my laptop with me today, and I'll try to get as much info as I can from the panel, though I think it's gonna be more about what their experiences with AE has been, rather than i16 tidbits.

Pretoria sounds like its going to be pretty cool! Hero one must have had a blast rewriting history from 1896. Can't wait to hear more!

I'd really like to see what they are planning with Going Rogue. WoW laid everything out with their announcement video, CO just launched. Now would be a good time to something!

The panel tomorrow from the looks of things is about the AE's ups and downs..

At this point a screenshot or two of Pretoria would be nice!
  12. With I16 coming I made a DBZ homage on test with a Rad/EM Blaster.

Colour the Rad powers Blue and they look pretty DBZesque. Especially Neutron Bomb!
  13. If there wasn't a brand new patch in the training room earlier tonight then I would say early this coming week.
Here's hoping for Tuesday! But I won't be surprised if it takes another week more.

Gives me more time to hoard some more influence!

Was anyone able to attend PAX and get some juicy info from the Devs?? (Yes I know it's a weekend event)

heh, I don;t like sharing my purple drops!
  17. Very cool... but you have to cross your eyes too much... killed the focus.

Scrappers can do the same, even tanks. But I can still take down 5 LEut mobs for every boss mob they do solo.

At 191% recharge (With Hasten perma) I've got BU/Aim/RoA up every 15 secondsish give or take.

If I feel like using a mez I'll use the Ice APP AoE sleep, Jump in, use Drain Psych, BU-Aim-RoA-Psychic shockwave and the mob is dead. Most of the time I don't even need to do that.

I farm the Cim wall regularly and have had scrappers, Brutes, Tanks, Widows, and Fire/Kins sit and watch because I clear them faster than they can.

If I was to buy all the enhencements of the market, yes!

I was lucky with my Blaster. 3 of the 5 Purple sets I have slotted are the "cheaper" ones. (Sleep, Confuse, Immob) so they weren't too hard to save up for.

For my Hecacomb, and Ragnork sets, I got them before the i14 price increase. I think I made the toon in i13. (when lvl pacts started) I got everything by playing arcs and getting some lucky Merit drops.

Just about every farm consists of mobs unable to vertically travel effectively. Taking advantage of this by Hovering just outside of their effective firing range and raining down -all- of your AoEs safely via Boost Range, you can also force those whose attention you have to pile all over your tank, which you should be directly above. Think of this as a reverse-repel function: you suck in all potential targets which the tank either can't or won't aggro by himself, and you don't have to limit what abilities you can use due to self-preservation.

-Get into position using fly, while cuing (Power Boost)Boost Range / Aim / Build Up
    -Fist Full of Arrows
-Explosive Arrow (by this time you are directly above the mob and limit mob scatter)
    -Fist Full of Arrows
    -Rain of Arrows
    -Fist Full of Arrows
    -Explosive Arrow
    -Fistful of Arrows
    -LRM
= one very dead or dying spawn. Seamless chain that you can keep doing indefinitely, mixing up with your single-target abilities to mop up anything that's been missed by the AoE carnage.

It all depends on the Ticket farm you are on too. IF you are on a Boss farm that would work. My Arch/MM can fire off RoA every 12 seconds with BU and AIM. So on a boss farm I can fire it off a couple times per spawn. (Depending on the team)

If you want to farm tickets find a map filled with Leuts. You can kill the spawns faster and get to the cap faster and do it solo if you want.
