Avatea just posted that the downtime is taking longer than usual...
So i guess its time to go for a coffee and a little walk.
See you guys soon -
Ocho said the down time would be 7am EST-12pm EST we all have a couple hours before it goes live..
For me, I'll be doing the new Posi TF and the new stroy arcs, plus playing my Cold/Ice defender more because of the inherent buff! -
Thanks for the build info, I'm looking at having a SS/WP brute for when GR comes out. Looks like fun!
-
My scrapper is already respec'd and Soft Capped for when I17 goes live. lost a little bit of recharge, but it's barely noticable.
-
Hmm Whiskey Jack's looks solid enough and not too expensive, I think the regen/recovery/rttc will be more than enough to make up for any attacks that do hit.
Does Fireball's AoE make up for no Cremate?
Shred's build looks good too but I'll never get that PvP IO lol
Basically I want to use this toon as my Single Target attacker (and since I already have him at 50 it saves me the time to lvl him up), if I want to go AoE I have a soft capped Elec/Shield scrapper.
Thanks for the input so far! -
Interesting guide, too bad the build you posted no longer works in Mids.
I want to get my Fire/WP up and running again to give my Elec/SD a break until Incarnates arrive. -
HEy all,
I have a lvl 50 Fire/WP that I would like to IO out but I don't really know what direction to take it. I've played around in Mids and I don't think it's possible to soft Cap.
I looked around on the boards here and didn't see any builds to go by.
Any advice?
Price isn't an issue.. just don't include the PvP IOs as I'll never have any of those lol. -
Awesome builds! I'm defniately using the Expensive Elec/Shield build.. Got 800 Mill saved for the extra set and HO's that I'll need to get. Looks awesome though!
-
Put me as an alt! I'll be on a Rad/Therm corr
-
I wonder if this could be a Herocon 2010 announcement?
Although I'm sure the present COX has a couple more years of life in it. As long as it's around I'll be here! -
That actually doesn't look too bad at all. My recharge will take a hit and I'll have to trade in a couple of purple sets, but it actually looks good.
I may use this when I17 goes live. The only difference is that I would have the Purple sets in Fireball and Fire Blast. -
My Going Rogue plans go as follows,
Make my Blaster, Scrapper incarnates,
Switch my Controller over to be a Vigilante simply because that is what his character is based on.
Start a new scrapper or brute in Preatoria and play all the way through to Incarnate. -

Quote:((Sorry for the late arrival.))
However, if we have to travel to the Well of the Furies and become an incarnate by drinking the waters there, as Statesman and Lord Recluse did, thereby changing our origin, what is the impact on all of our slotted enhancements (IOs excluded)?Quote:Not sure - maybe there'd be Incarnate enhancmeents to unlock to replace them?
I played a long time to earn all the IO's I have on my Toons. I'd rather not have them obsolete. -

Quote:I'm with Snow Globe, the Devs are more than smart enough to not break the game with Incarnates. For me it will be the Journey to get my Incarnate lvls that I will enjoy rather than the rewards. (Depends on what the rewards are...)I find it really hard to believe that the much-requested endgame system will be basically a way to save money on purples at WW.

Quote:Strangely, every single team doesn't do every single STF run on the Mo setting.
Turning off Incarnate powers for an Mo run doesn't solve the problem of 5 level 50 AVs vs a full team of Incarnates.
The same goes for the ITF - people have run that in under 20 minutes with current IO'ed 50s - what sort of runs would a team of full Incarnates be capable of?
If Incarnate levels boost your powers, would a buffing Incarnate on your team mean that even 54s wouldn't be able to hit you?
Right now, the difficulty scaling is designed towards non-IO'ed avatars, with IOs giving a nice boost.
So, to repeat what I said, something else I'm wondering about is how will the curent content remain a challenge for Incarnates? Like won't something like the STF need some sort of extra level of difficulty, otherwise it'd be come just too easy?
I think you are grossly exaggerating how powerful Incarnate players will be. I can see a few buffs, or a new power or two, but I don't think it's going to make Defenders Solo several AVs at once.
lvl 50 characters with SO's or even Common IO's won't have too much difficulty with most TFs unless they are +3s or +4s.
I've been on as many 20 min ITFs with SO'd toons as I have with my Soft capped Elec/Shield Scrapper. It's all a matter of who you play with.
I'm willing to bet a team of 8 Incarnates with idiots playing them will have as much trouble with any TF/SF as any other team.
Also.... holy crap GG actually explained a post... -
Quote:New option in the difficulty screen: "Disable Incarnate Abilities". Required for the Mo* badge.
Problem solved.Quote:Doesn't solve the problem of Incarnate Defenders solo the 5 final AVs at once
Wait.. it was GG... nvm.. stop feeding trolls Rad. -
I wonder if the Incarnate lvls will be more tied into completion badges than XP itself. Watching the presentation the Devs mentioned more Zone events tied into the Incarnate system. So say complete X number of arcs, X number of TFs/SFs and X number of Zone events to get your first incarnate level.

I don't see it as a lvl cap increase as IO's don't go beyond lvl 50. I see it more as 10 degrees of lvl 50.
IF I was to complete all 10 Incarnate lvls I would look at it as being a 10th Degree lvl 50.
Still lvl 50, but with more training and experience.
My Elec/Shield scrapper CAN'T WAIT! -
I look at it more as a Martial arts thing. Lvl 50 is like getting your Black Belt. As you train and progress more you get 1st degree Black, 2nd Degree Black, etc.
You're still a black belt, but more experienced.
I'm really looking forward to this! I'm hoping the first lvl of incarnates raises defense lvls! That should replace the Zepher nerf!

When I saw Castle's post about Kinetic Melee it made me think Kin/Shield scrapper. Kinetic buffs+ Shield Buffs = awesome!
LEt's hope there is lots of AoE in the set. My only worry about it is the long animations. -
One Million Volts (Elec/Shield)
Zeus (fits nicely with Elec) -
Does anyone have any Elec/Shield builds made up for the new Zepher numbers?? My computer is down (using wifes) so I can't use mids at this point.
A build preferably without the Gladiator IO.. No way I'll be getting that.
