I understand that Paragon Studios is in need of money and that they have worked a lot on the two powersets, but a powerset should be something that you get for free in a patch. It's not a new class, it's just a powerset.
If DP is the 'money maker' they should just have included it in Going Rogue and made it not accessible unless you had a code for GR.

As an aside, I think we all agree that the trial restriction window would be annoying (even if we never personally experienced it). Since we have the devs attention, you may help to change that.

p4 1.5, 1gb RAM, geforce fx5200, windows XP. the fix was to put the isntallation program on the desktop, which i did and it ran. It installed the game to the default folder and then I ran it, which seemed fine until the game started properly (with a villain character) and I saw no ui. Everything else seemed fine. However, 99% of the drive-by buffs I get are NOT when I am struggling against a foe on the street. They're usually when
1.) I'm standing at the Black Market or at the arbiter (yay! I can buy stuff/pick powers faster! Thanks!)
2.) I'm in Pocket D (WTF?)
3.) I'm just getting ready to START a fight on the street (and now have to wait for the stupid buff to wear off so I can start)
It's #3 that bothers me most, the others are just plain stupid.

As for better things to do then using spell check, both Firefox and other web browsers have them built in. They automatically alert you to a misspelling immediately by underlining it. There is not much time taken out of your busy day then the two seconds it takes to right-click on the word and choose the right one on the list.
I guess it comes down to me extending to my readers the courtesy of not having to decipher what I am trying to say. I find this more important than the limited amount of time I save in ignoring those rules. I don't look down on others that do not use those rules but, I would be lying if I said I did not wish they would show me the courtesy I show them.

This is probably a driver issue. I do see that you are on an old version, 185.93. The current is 195.62. You can find that here.
When, getting rid of the old version, I'd recommend running driver sweeper after you use the nvidia uninstaller to get rid of the stuff it leaves behind.

My 50s
1) Radionuclide (Def: Rad/Rad) My first and is still played quite a bit.
2) Rad's Pyro (Cont. Fire/Rad) No longer around. He has long been deleted. I just couldn't enjoy him as much after the ED and imp nerf. But, really he was re-rolled and renamed as my corruptor
3) Luminaria (PB) I don't play her very much. In fact, I believe she still has pre-ED slotting.
4) Morsmordre (MM Necro/Dark) My first villain to 50. I love playing him.
5) Rad's Meltdown (Cor Fire/Rad) I may make him go rogue. It was always apart of his story to be redeemed with the help of his brother.
6) Intensify (Cont Fire/Kin). My favorite to play. Love the concept, the character, the name, and the way she plays. She gots it all.
7) Conviction (Tank WB/DB) The first tank I could play higher then level 10.
9) Ebon Thorn (Scrap Spines/Dark) She is not played very much. But, I enjoyed leveling her up.
12) Ebon Askavi (Night Widow) She does come out to play from time to time. I really only like playing her with other SoAs. So. Much. Fun.
11) Fimbulvetr (Def Cold/Ice) Also not played very much. Though he will be brought out during the winter event for some more winter themed badges.
11.5) Welsh Green (Def Thermal/Fire) Ok, ok. Technically he is not 50 yet. But, he is 49 and half does that count?

That's an old-old misconception of words that's been fought many times over on these forums. There are healers in this game, because they have the ability to heal, therefore they are healers. If your toon can heal, you are thusly a healer. That is what was meant by the OP, and that is what was understood. So, yes, in that context, there are healers in this game.
Someone else said healers become a 5th wheel at higher levels.
That is so true! The only time I get to actually play as a healer is if I look for lower level teams. They always want/need healers. Higher level teams just ask me to go get my kin (also a healer).
. Ok, Ok I kid. Seriously, two powersets - Dark Miasma and Radiation Emission. Both have a heal but, it is not their focus at all. There focus is Debuffs. Hell, even Empathy (which the OP said was a heal set because it had more heals) is focused much more on buffs - Fort, CM, Both RAs, and AB compared to HA, HO, and AP.
The reason people say there are no healers in this game, is to change a misconception; that healing should be the focus and ultimate mitigation of damage. This is the case in other games. And some transplants carry this misconception on to this game. In this game buffs/debuffs are so much stronger then heals.
There are no healers in this game - there are defenders, controllers, corruptors, and masterminds. And all of them should focus on other aspects of their powerset then healing. To not do so, is to limit your character and your team.

I would recommend un-installing. using Driver Sweeper to ensure everything is blown away, then re-installing. Do this separately for both and consider doing in in Safe Mode.
