Calystix... that's the name I remember when I first started playing MMs in I6 or I7. I remember it was only mob I couldn't defeat at that time and I broke a mouse out of frustration. I'm going to be real prepared this time with inspirations. Thanks for the advice.

I'm kind of embarassed to say but it's bots traps. When I first heard the hype, I didn't think anything short of an AV would stop me...

I just started playing an MM and got him up to lvl 20. It was smooth sailing and zero deaths until I met my first Elite Boss. He wasn't just any EB but a controller with a singularity pet. I eventually defeated him in my second attempt but I think I may be doing it wrong by focusing my attacks on the boss and not his pet. I shudder to think that there may be more nastier EBs like that one. Is there a better (more survivable) strategy in dealing with these mobs?

It has to come from fire... right? If not then which primary and what attack chain will give the highest possible dps? I have my planned FM build at 103.5% recharge (without hasten) so I'm hoping to make some speedy kills in PvP. BTW, I noticed when I use Mid and adjust it to PvP mode that it does not affect recharge... is that correct?
-
So what primary would go best with Regen if Im planning a 60/40 split between PvP and PvE? Is this order correct for PvP - FM>BS>Spine>Kat?
-
Most people would actually make +recharge bonuses a priority when making a regen build (or just enough +recharge for perma-DP).

I bought a $300 rig for the kids but I'm not sure if it has the power to play COH. Would anyone know if an Intel GMX4500 integrated video card is enough to play COH (at the lowest performance settings)? The processor and ram should be fine, 2.8 Core 2 Duo and 2GB of ram. Thanks!

My build currently has 4.04/s EndRec and 1.21/s EndUse (according to Mid)... does that sound good or bad? I'm running six toggles and was wondering if I should try gunning for more end reductions in either my attack powers or the toggles. Any advice would be helpful.

I just got a PVP unique IO and was wondering if I should slot it into a level 41 power or a level 2. Does it really matter? If I exempt below level 38 and regardless of the level of the PVP IO itself, would the bonus still be there? I'm hoping these IOs work the same way as purples...

I've been playing a blaster since my first day so I'm new to defense and defense bonuses... Here's the question - let's say I have 20% melee positional defense and 10% SL typed defense, so does that equate to 30% SL defense at melee?
-
I'm IO'ing out a really tight build for my BS/WP and could only afford 4 free slots for both stamina and quick recovery. The WP toggles + tough + weave + maneuvers make this a very end-heavy build. So how would I slot these two powers for maximum benefit? Should I just slot three end mods for each or use performance shifters (%, endmod, endmod/acc)?
-
that's nice recharge bonus for only 200m. The only changes I would make (if I had to watch my budget) are 1) moving the extra slot in health and dropping it in stamina, spend 3-5 mill on the shifter end+, and 2) take the cold mastery set (slot flash freeze with the cheap purple sleep set), frozen armor (you can add a lotg if you have a spare), and hibernate (single slot for recharge should be good). This should take you closer to perma hasten and faster recharge in full auto.

I'm planning to IO my first 50 (fire/kin). I need opinions as to what IO bonuses would benefit him the most. Should I focus on recharge, +dam, +defense, or a bit of everything? I'm not a farmer though the idea of destroying a large spawn is pretty cool.

All this analysis will be pointless once Going Rogue goes live. Players will retire their tanks and scrappers in favor of brutes.
-
I'm almost too embarassed to ask but after reviewing several builds that soft-cap Scrapper defenses, I noticed the magic number seems to be >15% in set bonuses... I know the soft cap is 45% so does that mean Scrapper base defense is 30%?
Second question... In Shield Defense, I see that most people took the fighting pool. During combat, are these two toggles (tough and weave) left on? Wouldn't that drain your end to nothing if you also have your other 3 or 4 shield toggles on? -
How does the two compare in PVE and PVP? I would guess Brutes have greater suvivability but do Scrappers have greater damage overall? Fury + Soul Drain = Win?

Out of curiosity and I'm asking this because I've never played a Dom, why do they expect a damage boost? From teaming with Doms in co-op and CoV, they seem to be powerful if not the most powerful AT in CoX. Can someone enlighten me?

IMO, Fire/MM/Force is by far the most destructive of all blasters, single target or AoE at any level. This baby shines in all the TFs I've been in. Slotted him with rech bonuses to 125% (195% +hasten) and you can destroy EBs with ease (with force or nature).
