  1. I'm struggling between spending money on purples and lewtz and supporting your cause, which is glorious.

Oh heck. I'll look for an invite and burn a billion tonight. I'm never going to be a high roller like some folks, but I think I made half a billion over the weekend doing ... absolutely nothing ... so what the hey. Plus that's a bitchin' base, man.

Attention: If you purchased a Decimation Dam/End recipe this weekend, your moneys are being burned. BURNED, bwahahahahaha

Farmed for tickets (Battle Maiden farm in AE) last night, noticed that 80% was pretty much my ceiling with spikes into what looked like 85%ish (when surrounded by 16 mobs, including 8 bosses). I was able to jump from from 0 to 70 fury in what felt like a snap.

Yeah, I supposed I'll miss the 90%+ fury averages of a strong farm, but really in between double stacked rage, 70% fury and pile of reds, I guess I just didn't notice.

I'll see how I do on RSF's with this build. If I find that I can tank with ease, I may replace the Siphon Insights on Gloom with purples. The Siphon's are dirt cheap, so I'm not worried about slotting over them.
Hey man, we here at "Min/Max Central" spare no expense!

That said, does Tremor suck? I've never played Stone/ but I'm giving it serious thought. Was wondering if Tremor was that much worse than Dark Obliteration.
  4. Where is hephaestus? WHERE I ask?

    They finally buffed /Fire!

If you feel like spending a pile of cash for a small return you could convert your 4-slotted LOTG powers to 3 PVP IOs + LOTG Rech. Defense is stll at ED cap, still get the recharge bonus and HP bonus goes from 1.13% to 2.25%.

But that's a lot of cash for a small return. I personally prefer more recharge than +def (small purples are cheap), so I probably would have gone a different path on Gloom and Heavy Mallet (i.e., Purples), but that's just personal preference, your build is rock solid.
  6. Are you at HP cap with Dull Pain running? Don't have mids at work, hard to tell because I'm bad at maths.

    Seconded.

    This needs a sticky, Ocho.
  9. I wrote lyrics for Rod Stewart in the 70s.

Yeah, I went there. And only Myrmydon knows what I'm talking about (again).
  10. I haven't played my lvl 49 Stone Tank in ... mmmm ... 4 years? Permananently mothballed at level 49.2, but hey if I can help, more than happy to. Have no problem respec'ing into an Earth's Embrace / Rooted build with high recharge, but I don't have a ton of influence - I can liquidate a few hundred million in short order, but if this is going to hit post-GR / market merger, I can transfer a few billion from villain side as needed, just let me know.

P.S. Stop being civil, its less fun
  11. Oh, hell, Marut went and made a reasonable, thoughtful post again.

Dammit, man, you had to go and kill a perfectly sensible Champion drama thread.

  12. I thought the Ocho already created a Champion drama thread?

Poor Ocho. He tries so hard. But he can't keep the people down!

This went poorly as the team leader was on +2 difficulty but our team could not actually handle this difficulty level. We had 3 brutes and 1 kin; the other two brutes were more squishy than me (and I'm a fire armor brute), and the kin, while good at keeping SB on us, was lackeyed up from DO level so could not actually hit anything with Transfusion to heal us. After two semi-team wipes against +2 Crey (everyone died but me; I survived by eating Lucks and strategically running away) the team kind of got discouraged and fell apart.
    Lol, that sums it up.

I was the /kin for the team, and it wasn't so much the +2s that hurt us, because with the right distribution of aggro, I think that would have been survivable. No, it was the leading Brute (/Elec Armor, no Fighting Pool), who had a marked tendency to ... to ... to herd! At level 27!! The last time I died, I remember watching in shock while the guy collected an aggro cap's worth of +2s. That's just not survivable at that level, with that build.

Anyway, you're welcome to team with the Zeh Grid and I any time - we're on most Mon-Thurs nights (no weekends for meh, the wifey frowns on it), and most of the time we try to play smart. Most of the time.
  14. This thread delivers ... but only halfway. The Bronx didn't make an appearance, ergo its capped at three stars.

    Sorry, OP.

Silas, what are you thoughts on the value of soft-capping vs. a 33% target?

Getting Scorpion Shield, Weave, Combat Jumping and a +3% Def IO gets me to the 32%-33% level. Add a small purple inspiration and bam! Soft cap. Given a scan of how much the kinetic combat IOs are running for (OMGWTFPWN), its been on my mind lately. Crikey, some of those buggers run for more than a purple apocalypse triple (and that's not cheap).

True, true. But with all the memes floating around the Internet about the Old Spice guy, the Most Interesting Man in the World, etc ... sometimes its worth remembering that there was a time when the coolest person in the world wore flower print hawaiian shirts, drove a ferrari, wore a Detroit Tigers cap and sported the greatest stache the world has ever seen.

    Honestly, its a good build.

There's certainly things you could do to tweak it, but generally I think you're probably talking about a very high cash:return level. As an example, you could swap some of the Mako's out of your single-target attacks and replace them with a couple of Hecatombs for nice recovery boost, but that's a lot of cash for a recovery boost you may not even need, and wouldn't work in more than a couple of attacks anyway.

A lot of the stupid pet tricks I used when IO'ing out my /SR brute aren't applicable here (i.e., +30.25% HP with IOs isn't necessary when your Dull Pain is perma).

    Looks smash-tastic to me, man.

  21. Prices tend to an equilibrium, right?

How much are LOTGs going for Blue Side?

Where do you expect the Red Side LOTGs to end up in a month when we have merged markets?

  24. Quick Reply:

I'd like to thank Fury for this thread, with a shout out to Nethergoat as well.

I've always been an OK marketeer, with my own little profitable niches, but I never realized how much raw influence could be generated with tickets. I left the game right before MA hit and only recently came back ... last night playing around, my eyes bulged out of my head when I hit the glowie to complete and saw "700 tickets awarded!". Nice. Very, very nice.

Moral of the story? Hurry up and buy the steadfasts I listed last night from tickets!
