KRM and I might disagree on almost everything, but we agree on a lot, too.
This sentence is false. -
Quote:I think it is the other way. Infernal can only control the demons he has bound to his armor. If Desdemona can interrupt that she has the upper hand.
There is also another thing to conceder. Infernal is at least half Demon. Desdemona can control demons....
It's also about willpower. And Infernal's is stated as being nearly boundless. In essence, his update should make him an Axe/WP Brute (or tank w/e). -
-
Quote:Now I kinda wanna make an AE mission and just pit the two against each other. You know, once Desdemona becomes part of the AE.
On that note, has there been a Statesman vs Lord Recluse mission in the AE? I'd be curious about the outcome.
As I recall, Statesman wins everytime. -

The Day After Parade: Rogue Isles BM and Cap become littered with giant, used floating balloons. They will go for 1,000,000,000.
On Virtue, evil catgurl stalkers go to town on deflated balloons. -
Quote:I've thought about it, but I find it to be a rather complex task.
Recluse's personality is such that you'd think that he would have either killed (at least) Lil' Liberty if he ever had her in his power. (And he certainly doesn't seem to be overly concerned with villains beating the heck out of her in the Recluse SF).
On the other hand, per Manticore, Ms. Liberty has a belief that Recluse can be redeemed. Why?!
There's a potential for a story in that, but keeping both characters true to canon is a challenging prospect.
I don't think Recluse has the heart (yes, heart) to kill Marcus or his granddaughter. The story you wrote about Recluse getting visited by Monica was perfect; the line where she says that Stefan is always expecting him to be fighting at his back? Utterly perfect.
As much as Stefan wants to deny everything that makes him human, Marcus Cole and his kin are constant reminders that he will never be Lord Recluse. Lord Stefan, perhaps, but there are people who know his heart and mind. -
Quote:Yeah, but her whip will most likely do all Lethal. And Infernal has lollethal res.Desdemona; she's a /Dark Mastermind. Stun his demons with Howling Twilight, slap Darkest Night on him, kill his demons before the stun wears off. Then spam Twilight Grasp to keep the henchdemons healthy and Infernal's regen down. Grind his health away until victory!

If he "worked" for Tyrant, it would only be to give himself access to superpowered body parts. At the very least, I'll agree. If Dr. V IS working for the Emperor, then these, like Arachnoids, are the "flushed down the toilet" results.

Quote:I'm pretty sure they are. I seem to recall something about Recluse meeting with the UN or something over Ms Liberty's invasion of his country.
Imagine that.
"MIIIIIIINIONS, I COME-errrrr."

"Hello, honored DOG'S OF WEAKNESS AND-*cough* members of the United Nations."
*US raises hand* "Uh, Mr. Richter... what are those on your back?"

Quote:Quuuuuick question:Regardless of where the Resistance stands morally, they will always be the lesser evil compared to the Ingsoc.
If Emperor Cole dies, who will defend the WORLD (yes, the world) against the resurgence of Hamidon? Don't give me that lesser of two evils crap. Scott will burn it all down to retrieve his long-lost love, and I don't think he quite realizes what "burning it all down" could mean. -
-
Quote:Hamidon Wars? Hm, this background is getting more and more interesting.
And the Ghouls look like the Banished Pantheon to me, stylistically... but I also feel they share some themes with both the Vahzilok and the Lost.
I'm betting on Dr. Vahzilok. If you think about, a technological and scientific genius who can resurrect the dead and isn't under the thumb of Tyrant is a grave, grave threat. Combined with the same super-sanity/insanity that is the Dr. V we all know and love and BLAMO! Zombies with ankle bracelets. -

Actually, I could very easily see this movie done like Pandorum, where you start out further in the story and have multiple flashbacks and story telling moments where you gradually learn about the opening of the Box.
For instance, the first scene would be a top down view of a metropolis that zooms in to see Arachnos swarming everywhere, with misc heroes blasting and punching their way through. In comes the Phalanx, Statesman at the lead, and as he is fighting we start to see through his eyes the way things have changed (flashbacks of him trouncing older-looking Arachnos).
Having said that, this would translate WAY better as an animted movie, a la Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths (if you havent seen it, GO NOW!). James Woods as Owlman is epic.
"It doesn't matter." -Owlman, James Woods. -
I have a few themes I stick with that help sort out the naming problem...
Kinetics - Usually has the word "Breaker" in it (as in, my Kin/DP def is "Double Breaker" and my fire/kin corr is "Fever Breaker").
Sword/Axe/Anything Pokey - "edge" of some sort. (Kat/SR is Flashedge, while my Axe/WP is Mighty Edge).
etc etc.... -
Quote:Slot Freezing Rain for recharge first, Def debuff second, and a proc or two once you're near the ED cap on those. I'm partial to 5 Undermined Defenses and an Achilles' Heel or Lady Grey proc.
Hm, I go one further. I slot FR with two 50 Rech IO's, a rech/endurance (Shield Breaker, iirc), and then...
1 Posi proc
1 Lady Grey proc
1 Achilles proc
It's utter devastation. -
I cant retype it, but....
Was just idly running around PI one night, around 2am est, when someone let loose a massive, text-limit ERP misstell in broadcast.
Epic.
