Rand Tanner: His work with Portal Corp has landed him a device that distorts distances by semi-shifting him into another dimension. This gives him his "Super Speed", and explains why he's harder to spot while using it.
Most of my others are fairly obvious as to how/why they travel like that. -
Nah. Everytime Wolverine gets torn up too bad, the lost blood and flesh regrow into a new Wolverine.
-
The flyer has always been in that mission. However, it's NOT supposed to be piloted by a spidermonkey on crack. It's just supposed to fly around and shine a searchlight at things when it's dark.
-
Yes. It's happened to me a few times lately.
-
I'd like to list all my strengths and weaknesses here, but I'm not sure I really know them.
I've gotten compliments on things I thought were crap, and ignored for what I felt was brillant work. People still put up with me though, so I must be doing enough right to make myself tolerable. -
You have my sympathies for having spikes of any kind up... there.
I've had no real problems like that lately. It may be your ISP. -
Quote:I don't PvP, but I do RP, and I'd find THOSE emotes useful enough to pay the money for them. Especally if I can do the emotes without the text.Ah yes, I can see it now, the new PvP Booster Pack $7.99 in the NCSoft Store:
Emote 1: cowering in a corner crying.
Emote 2: holding your arms in front of your head while screaming, "Not in the face! Not in the Face!"
Emote 3: arms crossed, shoulders rolled forward and pouting while saying, "No Fair!"
Emote 4: jumps on a teammates shoulders, hits him about the head and face screaming "Run Away, Run Away, Faster, Faster!"
Emote 5: holds up the white flag and waves it over his head.
Emote 6: toon falls down and "plays dead".
Emote 7: toon stands still staring at his hands and says "How did I miss AGAIN?"
Emote 8: toon runs away screaming "I'm just a defender, stop picking on me!"
And the all important one for that occasional victory,
Emote 9: toon stands on top of a golden Dias, hands clasped over his head and saying, "I did it! I finally did IT!"
Of course that 9th emote will have to raise the price of the pack to $8.99 each. -
They got the arms and legs backwards. Or is that whole picture reversed?
-
Ditto. I can log in characters NOT in the D, but not the ones in the D itself.

Can't he turn into a lightning form? Maybe he's learned to "flicker" when he takes a hit, turning at least partially to energy to avoid the worst of the blow?

Quote:They can't. Once people have started to purchase it, any attempt to reduce the cost would require refunding money to credit cards, PayPal, ect... It would also run a high risk of transatction errors, and people not getting their refund. It would be an accounting nightmare. Like it or not, the price is set in stone.Slash the price of this horse armor and I'll probably pick it up.
It may be possible to add something to it, however. I'm not sure what kind of code work that would take, but it's more possible than dropping the price.
I've expressed my displeasure with this pack in other places, but I want to add something to that here. It's not that it's an emote pack that turns me off, it's what the emotes are. These are emotes that I can see maybe a couple at most of my (vast numbers of) characters using one or two of. Some of the emotes don't even match the theme of the pack, and it confuses me as to why they're even in here.
Had the emotes been ones that appealed to me, I might find the price tag agreeable. These emotes, however, do nothing for me.
Better luck next time, Devs. -
This may sound like I'm complaining, but I want to say it anyway.
Seeing people get the pack AND costume change codes got a very big "I WANT" from me.
Realizing that IF I pay out the money for it, I'll only get the emotes and not the costume codes makes me even less tempted by it now. I've seen what it could be, and can't convince myself to settle for what it is.

I like the idea, but I'm worried that the functional NPCs (trainers, ect) wouldn't work due to the fact that bases count as mission maps. There are certan things you can't do in missions, such as call contacts. This might be a problem.
-
I'm not sure what to say to that other than that it was really interesting to watch.

Quote:You're right. That's pretty harsh, but it makes an impression. In England, we just show public service announcements like this:

You may not want to watch if you're squeemish. -
Why don't they just do pictures of potholes instead?

Quote:Well put.My take is closer to "menu work is a necessary evil that is better attacked sooner than later". If Option 3 would be "Half the improved textures originally planned, but everything better organized for future expansion", I'd pick it.
As a side note... I seem to recall Castle saying that when he went and designed the new NPCs (Girlfriend from Hell, etc.) that the dev-version creator with the NPC parts was far worse organized than what we see as players, or at least burdened down by far longer lists. Wouldn't it be a long-term gain in overall productivity to improve the costume design organization for everyone? Or, put another way, if the reorganization is going to be needed eventually, investing in it now will pay off more dividends than letting things go until it's creaking further under the load.
Change my vote to Option 3, please. Take the time and lay the groundwork for future growth. -
Favorite Superhero: Ghost Rider 2099.
Favorite Supervillain: Doctor Doom. -
Quote:I was going to say option 1 until you posted this. I actually LIKE the "spandex tank top" look on some male characters. Adding in folds and fabric texture, while great in some ways, would ruin that spandex-y look.Sure. Not saying that this is in the queue or anything, but take a look at the tank top. Currently, it's a simple cut-out without any details. Now look at a real-world tank top (like this one http://www.undershirtguy.com/wp-cont...n-tank-top.jpg) and note the trim and stitching along the edges and bottom. Also note the subtle folds and even subtler fabric texture. These are things that could be improved in an updated texture. Would it still be a plain white tank top? Of course! But it'd be a lot more realistic and convincing.
As for the non-animated tails? I've considered using them with trenchcoats and capes, just to have a tail while avoiding clipping. They also work well for prop tails that are just part of the costume.
So, I guess I'll have to say option 2 is better. However, I expect you'll go with option 1 because it's more practical in the long run. -
Agreed.

Invent a device that figures out what your last device was and maps out how it works and why.
