Reed and Doom admit their love for each other and sneak off. Sue finds out, goes psycho, and wipes out a major city with one of Reed's little toys in order to kill them both.

Good luck with your new job, Castle.
As for playing CoH now that you're no longer a dev: You do know you'll find all sorts of interesting bugs and problems now that you can no longer fix them, right?
Oh, and will Castle (The NPC) remain as the trainer in PI, or will he be replaced? If he's replaced, will you recreate him for your personal use? -
It can be too hard to find a good arc, and I do like to solo so I can read everything. I know it's been said before.
I do have a trick that sometimes lands me good arcs to play, though. I play on Virtue mostly, and when I see a good looking character with a well written bio, I jot down the name. Later, I may do a /getglobalname on it and then look for any arcs written by that person. It tends to give me better results than blindly searching. -

Take care, and if you get the chance to return, we'll be here.
...but don't let that stop you. -
Quote:They remind me of the walls at the warehouse/factory where I work. Our walls are painted an ugly grey and white (they used to be an ugly blue and white), but I could easily see that green being used on them.Aesthetically, I dislike the new textures. They have a higher-quality look about them, but, IMO, they look nothing like a warehouse. They remind me of the basement of old institutional buildings from the sixties and seventies, like hospitals.
Actually, the fact that the blocks are green makes them look like public washrooms you would see in a state-built public rest stop.
As textures in an isolated sense, they're nice. Visually, I don't find them appropriate for purpose. -
For what it's worth, back in 2nd Ed AD&D, I used bunny rabbits. A dozen of them.
I was running a small game for two friends, and the bunnies nearly killed their (hugely overpowered) characters. Yes, the characters were only first level, but one was a first level Ogre Magi, and the other was something just as unbalanced.
The characters limped away from that fight, barely alive, and NEVER SPOKE OF IT AGAIN. Yes, they moved on to bigger and better things, but... bunnies. Trained attack bunnies.
*shudder* -
It's happened to a few of my characters, but mostly due to RP reasons.
I have learned, however, that I hate Storm Summoing with a passion. -
I actually like Time Bomb as it is....
Okay, it could use some help. I'd prefer that help come as either improved damage (not likely) or faster set-up time. Of the two, I'd actually prefer the improved damage, so that it's worth the effort and stands out as one of the more unusual powers.
Trip Mine is fine as is, don't change it. Yes, it's slow, but it's one of the more interesting attacks in the game. You just just need to be a tricky <bleep> to get the most use out of it. -
Quote:http://www.cityofheroes.com/communit...urposeful.htmlThere are various rewards that grant some powers early (like the one which allows taking Tier 3 pool powers as soon as the pools open up), but none which let you speed up or shortcut the leveling process just because you feel you deserve to.

A few people have reported seeing players performing the Ghoul death emote with their characters. Can anyone tell me how they're doing this? So far, it's been seen in the D and Oro, on Virtue.
Thank you. -

I strongly suspect that they'll actually be going for "quirky seriousness". Someone who, no matter what goes on, can walk through it with a calm and dignified attitude. This would allow them a bit of humor, without breaking his character at all.

Superman holds back. He does it so constantly, I don't think he CAN bring himself to go in with a full force hit right off the bat. He has to build up to it, always trying to find that level of minimal effective force, so he doesn't go around hitting people so hard their heads explode from the impact of his fist.

Quote:Actually, it's been stated that the standard X-costumes now have body armor in them. This was quite some time ago, but I don't see them removing that bit of trivia for most of the costumes. Some fans can be downright irrational at times. If Juggernaut punches Cyclops through a wall, people are fine with it. If Batman gets slammed through a wall by Solomon Grundy or Bane, people howl and say he shouldn't be able to survive an attack like that at all, while forgetting the degree of protection his costume provides. As far as I know, Cyclops doesn't have any special protection when he gets hit by superhumanly strong opponents.
That aside, you still have a valid point. -

I have a DS MM, and I love the set.
Yes, the sounds can be annoying. That's why I try to not bring them into places like WW (I park 'em across the street or dismiss them). If I do have to bring them in, I have a macro set up to make them all do Hero Stance 1, so they stand there silently.
Any stance or ongoing emote they can do will make them skip the sounds they make (save for the heal aura). If they get pushed out of place and have to move back, however, that breaks the emote and they'll make noise again. So, if you see demons standing around doing some kind of emote, don't push them around or they'll start making annoying noises again. -

Quote:Sure we do.Saw the trailer for this before the new Harry Potter... not sure we need ANOTHER pretty boy monster movie w/ tragic romance..
If, after all the hints and drama, it turns out that the pretty boy is just what he appears to be. A pretty boy with some issues and a crush.
Then Red can turn into the werewolf, rip him limb from limb, and eat his heart before going to find someone better to be her boyfriend. -
If they do it well, then there's no problem. If they do it at the cost of powers they need, then there's a problem.
I have a WarShade with SuperSpeed, despite having Teleport already. I'd already grabbed Hasten, and SS's stealth effect went well with the WS stealth power.
I had a blaster on Freedom that used SS and SJ, for concept reasons (City Traveler badge). When Ninja Run hit, I respecced him and removed them both, then gave him Stealth and Invis. He's still inhumanly fast and agile, but this fits his concept better. With Inherent Fitness, I may go back into travel powers again. -
