That looks.... stupid.
Really, REALLY stupid. -
You have to remember, he thinks he can write and tell the writers what to do. So, I see this as him saying "I'll tell the people making the movies what to do."
-
You see that look on his face?
That's because he just stepped in some Vulture poop. -

((Note: Nonstandard Morphology))
And leave it at that. -

Much to Snake's horror, the enemy had just eaten at Taco Bell.

Quote:Synapse isn't manly. He's a closet emo.I say FEH to all this Statesman/Tremblor slash yaoi!
This thread is now about BROMANCE~!
Let us celebrate the original CoH bromance: Positron and Synapse!
TOTALLY MANLY!!!!
He tried cutting himself once, and nearly sawed his arm off before he could stop. -
Quote:When I saw that name pop up in /request, I thought it was a normal player that had grabbed the name. He wasn't saying anything that sounded important at the time, so I just moved on to my mission. As you can see from the pics, SexyJay wasn't swarmed. This could be to him not being a very recognized red name (this was in Virtue's Pocket D after all, people may have thought he was a regular player) and/or that it was low key.
*shrug* -

Quote:What I'm talking about is a bit more involved than that, but that's a problem too.If a mission is flagged with 'Villain' or 'Hero'; it can't even be started even with the TF code. I tried with a Rogue leading a Hero and I couldn't select the task because 'Everyone on the team needs to be the same alignment'. I could use the crystal to teleport to contact which kicked my Hero out of Mercy and back to Atlas so there's one glitch in the system that needs to be worked out.
-
This was added to avoid the problems caused by SG leaders leaving the game and leaving the SG without the ability to do things for itself. Adding this option would go against the reasoning for it being there in the first place.
Even people that intend to keep running the SG might run into RL issues that suddenly take them out of the game, or keep them from returning when they planned to. It's not fair to the other players that have invested heavily in the SG to let this disable their full enjoyment of all they've worked for.
This would be, I think, a bad idea. -
I'll say /unsigned.
It's a nice idea, and I might use it, but for the effort it would take there's better things for them to work on.
Plus, when I team with Stalkers, it's kind of nice to know if they're in Hide or not. -
Quote:This would allow co-op TFs for those contacts to be started. What happens when the team leader (Villain) drops out for some reason, and the people left are Heroes? They won't see the right contact to talk to, the'll see the hero version.Actually they should be able to merge the two zones now even though there are alternate missions for heroes and villains. I see no reason that they couldn't use the vanishing contacts process from Praetoria to put in two versions of any contact that gives differing missions. One flagged to only be there for villains, the other to only be there for heroes.
No, I'm not going to assume it would be easy because I am completely clueless about what code changes it would require. However looking at it from the outside it seems it should be relatively easy to set the proper flags according to a character's alignment rather than according to what missions they have completed.
I'm sure it's possible to merge them, but there's a lot of stumbling blocks in the way. -
Quote:My apologies. I wrote that poorly and should have seperated the first line off on its own.It was more an addition to the other guy's comments about 'ERP' tags. From my experience, 'All RP' means the same, but isn't as obvious. On the other hand, what I said about 'ERP' tagged people applies to 'All RP' tagged ones as well. Though I really do think that when people write 'All RP' but mean 'ERP' they're being a wee bit... disingenuous about the whole thing. So in that regard I'd prefer a straight-out 'ERP'.

Oh, this'll make it fun when we start forming up teams for a Rikti invasion or the like!

Quote:That puts all of it in what appears to be talking format at a glance. The * makes it easier to tell it's intended to be an action. As it is, it reads like the guy's narating his own actions.[Local] Super Guy: Super Guy gives a passing glance at the nearby bar, deciding, heck, why not? Could use a drink anyway. A few quick strides and he's at the bar, leaning over the counter and giving an nod to the bartender. "Hey. What's up? Can you grab me a beer?" The bartender acknowledges him, and within a few seconds he's acquired his drink.
Which, I guess, I could see some CoH characters doing.
However, what I meant was more like this:
Bartender: I hope you like it, it's a new kind we got in. From Texas. It's... *takes a moment to look at the bottle* Oh, yeah. Red Moon beer. It's supposed to have something in it so even supers can get drunk off of it. -
Quote:I use asterisks much the same way you used the quotes there, to set apart speaking and acting in the same post. Also, it's hard to use emotes over /team or /sg, or in the arena.Super Guy gives a passing glance at the nearby bar, deciding, heck, why not? Could use a drink anyway. A few quick strides and he's at the bar, leaning over the counter and giving an nod to the bartender. "Hey. What's up? Can you grab me a beer?" The bartender acknowledges him, and within a few seconds he's acquired his drink.
As an added point, using asterisks in /local for an emote means that your name shows up in the right color, if you have that option on. This can be helpful for keeping track of things when there's a lot of chat scroll. -
Quote:I agree with all of this save for the bit about the "All RP" tag. Don't assume that someone's a bad RPer or total horndog just because of a certan RP tag on a character. I learned a LOT about good RP from someone with such a tag, and I've had great "Rated T" RP with others. While I don't have any of either type of character setup, I'd like to point out that just cause someone is into ERP or has extra parts in their pants doesn't mean it's all about sex for them at all times. Though there's certainly more than one example of players hung up on getting laid ICly, tags advertising the possibility of this occurring actually strikes me as less dreadful than people without such tags turning out to be just as sex-crazed or worse. Also, there's still some discussing with regard to what 'M(ature)RP' stands for, as for some people it means ERP, and for some people it means 'not naive RP' apparently. And then there's the ever-ominous 'All RP' tag which to me always suggests that the player'd like to get laid, but is too timid to ask and doesn't want to blemish what they perceive to be their rep.

Fun movie, but the 3-D adds NOTHING to it. My roommate and I both agree that if you see it, it's better to just see it in 2-D.
-
Go to Pocket D and try your hand at RP there. You may bump into someone you can hit it off with. However, ALWAYS keep a clear line between you and an IC exit. You're just as likely to run into someone you can't stand, and it pays to have a good IC reason for your character to get out of that conversation fast.
Take notes on who is and is not someone you want to deal with in the future, check globals for names that keep popping up with interesting characters, and read bios. -

Actually, I want a 12 issue limited series where all the villains get together and try to take down Squirrel Girl once and for all.
They can even bring back the fun version of Damage Control by having them start to follow her around, knowing that someone's going to attack sooner or later and cause some property damage.
