  1. Can you get several people with TP Foe working together to teleport bosses and up? One of the posts in this thread seems to say that the effects can be stacked to up the magnitude, and that has me wondering what a team of people using it can move.
  2. I've never seen Director 11's mines, but from what you describe this would be a VERY useful addition to the power.

I've tried to time my LRM attacks to hit at the same time as the Time Bomb's explosion, and it's annoyingly hard to do. Too fast or too slow, and some of the targets get blown out of the second AoE. A few other tricks have the same problem. This would make the power more useful without adding anything to the actual stats of the power.
  3. So, here's the idea:

Make an IO set, or a few sets (to account for what sets can be slotted where) where every IO in the set adds a 100% chance for some proc effect to whatever power it's slotted into. Additional damage or a DoT, for example, or maybe a -Fly effect for damaging powers. You could also have a set for healing powers where the procs are things like a +FlySpeed or +Range effect.

Individually, that's all the IOs would do. They wouldn't boost any other aspect of the power they're put into.

Why make them sets instead of just individual IOs like the GameStop PreOrder ones? In order to keep people from slotting multiple into a power for some odd advantage, the set bonuses would actually be penalties. People would be much less likely to slot two of them into an attack if it carried a -5% global recharge for doing so.

The goal here is to allow people to customize the effects of their powers a bit with the procs, but keep them from turning it into something game breaking. I'm not sure if this would really do it or not, though.
  4. For me it was during the start of a Rikti invasion in Founder's Falls. I hit the button and... yep, I'm a monkey.

Then a Rikti bomb fell on me.

It did surprisingly little damage to me, though. Nowhere near what it should have. I think the monkey form has some special resistance/immunity to the bombs.

Extra costume slots should never be Incarnate and/or Vet awards. Far too much whining would ensue. They should either be unlockables or purchasable so that the people who want them can get them and the people who don't won't have to bother.
They could add it to one of the powers that doesn't give a level shift, at the Rare/Very Rare level.

I feel guilty sending my salvage to the bit bucket of the vendors knowing that someone out there just needs one more Ancient Bone to complete IO set x and become uber hero, or to make one more batch of common IO's for their field crafter's badge. If there are > 2,000 items on the market with 0 bids, then I feel justified dumping, but otherwise I put up for sale.
    Ditto.

Common I put up for 275, uncommon for 1100, and rare for 5500. This makes sure that, after market fees, I get at least what the vendor would have given me for them. Anything else is a nice bonus.

Add my voice to those asking that something like this be done.

I have 5 accounts. Two I play, three are just there to provide fillers for old SGs. I'd like to log into those three and make sure they don't have any decent global names tied up before this list merge happens.

I'd be sad to lose my global name, and I'd hate to think that someone else might lose theirs just because I have a filler account sharing it.

    Correct.

One of the articles I found that corrected the rumor mentioned a Fox news source having played a part in this, but I don't remember where the article was or just how much of a part they played. I think (but again, I don't recall for sure) that they reported the suspicions about it being killed as fact.

    *shrug*
  9. As I see it, the difference is how far each person is willing to go to get what they want. If you spare Trapdoor, for example, the well comments on that and states that it's disappointed in you.

Cole strangled his best friend to get what he wanted. He's willing to subvert people's free will for "their own good". Given his views of humanity, he may even WANT to give up his own humanity to become a "purer" guardian. He seems to have convinced himself that his goal is worth any price.

I think this is why the well has chosen him. Although, what the well is really up to is still unclear.
  10. I think the Omega slot will work a lot like the Alpha slot. Everyone could benefit from another of those, especally if it boosts the powers in the other slots.

One of the slots could boost HP or End directly. That slot might also boost your rolls for loot (Luck), making you face a very important choice as to what you want slotted in there. I have no idea what fourth "stat" it could boost, however.
  11. Personally, I'd like to see a reboot where it's explained that the immortals fight until there's only one, and that one becomes mortal but can often use their knowledge to lay out a path for the upcoming age.

When that last immortal dies, the power is released back out into the world, and new immortals emerge to start the whole thing all over again. All they know/remember are the basic rules of how it works, the rest is up to them.
  12. Part of it depends on the kind of comfort zone we're talking about. Pushing people out of a moral comfort zone (such as putting children into the game to be victims) is riskier than pushing people out of a gameplay comfort zone (adding in new kinds of raids for the endgame).

Should a game do it? Sometimes, yes, if it has a good reason behind it. Westin Phipps's missions, for example, nudged some people out of their moral comfort zones, but in a good way. It was just enough to make them feel "evil", something many said most of the missions in CoV lacked.

As far as the upcoming endgame changes, I think the Devs have done it a bit backwards. I think they needed to introduce the new raid mechanics first, and let us use them for other things in the game, such as banners and Hami raids, and let us get used to them. THEN they could bring in the new raids, and it wouldn't be as big of a change. We'll see how it goes, though.

They're robots left over from a horror movie, retrofitted to work by remote control. The members of the Rotary Club operate them, you just teleport them into the fighting zone.

I don't think so, but they did have him start pressing for healthier eating habits. Now he eats fruits and veggies, and says cookies are a "sometimes food".

... which he then promptly devours in his usual style.
  15. A quick Google search shows a few articles where it's revealed that this is all just some bad "reporting" by Fox News.

    NOTHING!

I want to see Samas Aran, not that whiny idiot that borrowed her suit for that game. I swear to god, it was so bad I almost expected a Metroid to come out of the shadows, sparkle in the light, and declare that it loved her.

I thought I was the only person in the world that remembered that book...

As for what I'd like to see made into a movie? Damage Control.
  18. I think it will fade some, especally as people look at the new TF/SF.
  19. I do not want it delayed, I don't think they can replace it with anything that would be "better" in a reasonable amount of time.

I do, however, feel the Devs made a mistake here, and I hope they're learning from it.
  20. My current main is a mage, specalizing in protective magics and constructs (Demon/FF MM).

First, he would cast very powerful protective magics on the mutant. Then, he would do the same for himself.

Once that was done, he'd set off the explosives. Once everything but him and the mutant is blown to bits, he'd use his constructs and barriers to clear away enough of the remains for him and the mutant to get out of the mess and go home.

That's actually why I usually find Jubilee so annoying, most writers don't use her well. They throw her in for some dumb reason, and then they don't know what to do with her.

I'd worry about them saying she's going to get more focus, though. They're still slated to kill a "main" character every 3 months, right? Suddenly promoting a minor character to main character status might be just a setup for a death.

Also, how did Magneto get Kitty back to Earth?

Can you tell me where this was said, or provide a link?

It's not that I don't believe you (it explains a lot, actually), I just want to know when this was revealed and what else was said.

I've reserved the name "Flipping" for my new bird character, though I've not gotten around to playing him yet.
