  1. That's a possibility, although one can always set the difficulty to -1 for those troublesome cases or, failing that, simply drop the mission.
  2. {looks up "Siderophobia"}

    {+reps}
  3. I'll try to be concise. Super-sidekicking, as opposed to the original method, is nothing short of a godsend. However, I believe it might be improved if the active level wasn't set to the mission holder, but rather the mission itself.

    The immediate benefit would be that running teammates' missions would no longer put you at risk of outleveling the missions you yourself already have listed, inadvertently punishing you for success by turning your listed missions green or gray, especially if you decide to run with others for a dozen levels or so.

    However, the biggest benefit might be that doing so would make it that much easier {SCR nonwithstanding} to basically kill contact obsolescence. If the exemplar level was dictated by the mission, then with the current SSK mechanics, there would be no downside to accepting missions from a contact you have outleveled a long time ago since although most content can't scale up to fit your level, you can always scale down to fit it.

    Just a though, anyway. Opinions?
  4. Sounds like an improvement over the Time Bomb, but let's be honest here, "Leave Burning C*** On Porch" would be an improvement over Time Bomb.
  5. I figured I'd ask, both out of curiosity as well as data for a possible guide.

    Let's take a hypothetical situation - you're on a team. You're running missions of nondescript nature, having fun, gaining XP and so forth. The team as a whole is, if not spectacular, then at the very least solid. There's some churn as people occasionally leave and are replaced, there's the occasional faceplant, but on the whole, it's going well. After about an hour or so, the team leader announces that he'll be leaving after the current mission and asks if anybody wants the star. Amidst the chorus of "Not Me"'s, you notice that you're of the appropriate level to take over as the leader whether to run arc missions or radios.

    What do you do and why?

    Using the Bubblegum emote with it crashed the client.
  7. It's in the works. Can't be bothered to track down the exact post, though.
  8. Five hit points should be enough for everyone.

    With loading time troubles, did you try starting the game in Safe Mode? {there's a little checkbox in the launcher}.

    What if it's self-defense?
    • Copypaste three macros from a text file for active window layout, mission review window layout and chat review chat and window layout
    • /bind_load_file universal.txt
    • Extend the power tray to show all three trays
    • Claim all available vet rewards
    • Place appropriate, less frequently used vet powers into one of the two vertical trays visible only in the mission layout window
    • Bullet points are sexy
    • Set up rotating AFK chat bubbles*
    • Sort the initial powers in the primary and alt tray - Sprint always being placed in the first slot of the alt tray. Self and ally-based click powers are placed in the first five slots of the alt tray, while attack powers take up the primary tray.
    • Go to options, turn off XP and crank up the SSK notification ranges.
    • Talk to the first tutorial contact.

    *anyone using the bindloadfile version of rotating binds? I can't seem to make it work in conjunction with the AFK command, which doesn't appear in this case
  17. Had some minor teething problems, but support came through. As things stand, it runs without a hitch.
  18. As the title says, is there one around? No luck with the Wiki.

    I doubt it. Players' appearances consist of assembled costume parts, NPCs are basically just one big part.

    Unless you're the Envoy of Shadow.

    Back on topic, keep the system, tag reps with names of the repper and if you don't like them, turn them off. The option is right there.
  22. I remember this one time back in the days of AE farms that... someone, I forget who, got a few teams together to beat down Lusca.

    And there's this Lv50 Warshade on my team complaining that Lusca gives too little XP and that we need less people attacking her.
