I prefer rping my two villainds but then again both are fairly intelligent.
there's no place like atlas or gg to rp in villains, because there are not enough zones so the whole game is crowded, until that i sorted out there's small chance of having a regular spot. -
a whole year older... congrats!
now if only i could figure out how to work this exploding cake... -
perhaps we can prod reb into setting up an AoA forum for us too ^_^
I would adore playing an AoA thing again.. There's a few thing I can do with TK and many many things I can do with any of Pink's kids and lots of othercharacters I've never made for coh since it's not the right sort of setting for them. -
Most of this will be the same as normal since I have had around 7 years of polishing her up from the Marvel version of her..
Name: Joanne Lindsay Stevens
Alias: Jo to her friends and Pink in the world of fighting crime.
Age: 47
Job: Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience
Gender: Female
Ethnicity: Caucasian, Canadian.
Height: 5ft 5
Weight: 9st 6lbs
Eyes: Deep chocolate brown
Hair: Dark Mahogany (natural), usually partially or fully dyed Pink
Appearance: (same as in game but taller, Ill get round to doing some pictures)
Known Powers: Electricity manipulation, Everything from using static to see and feel to striking from afar with bolts from her own body, to regenerating herself with fine control due to the electric pulses in her body to teleporting and changing into pure electric energy.
Also reputed to be deeply empathic, stemming from the primal emotions of fear, anger and lust. The swirling entity on her skin that makes up her tattoos is thought to be pools of these primal emotions in a physical form. In the war it was rumoured that a creature of midnight skin would overcome all forces alike in battles, causing fearful hallucinations sometimes powerful enough to kill. Nothing like this has been reported since so it is unlikely.
The fine control of her powers makes her a prime example of mutants who can control their mutations to live to such an age that wisdom makes them all the stronger. It is reported she has been through several mutations similar to the first emergence and works to help young mutants deal with their own powers when they emerge, developing a program to aid them in adjustments.
Known Information: The easy to follow paper trail from police reports and newspaper cuttings is available on the GG wiki. Just ask in a PM or over MSN for anything that you would want to know through a concerted trailing effort or through extrasensory information like telepathy or empathy etc.
Recently she was in the spotlight for recieveing her Professorship on her birthday, since then she has taken a step back from active heroing to use her new status to obtain funding for a hospice for young mutants coming into their powers or returning mutants going through a new mutation period with facilities to deal with specialised cases and land grants for a cemetery and specialised housing.
Costumes: 1) Her Council armour uniform, 2) Her suit pants and jacket, leather top and combat boots (or strappy sandles), 3) Her new battle outfit including a holster for the crey cryonic pistol and a taser against the small of her back, and metal spiked armour to conduct her electricity when in a grapple, 4) A range of civvies, 5) Her lab coat, lab trousers, safety boots and safety goggles all white. Her glasses are small and rose tinted to correct a reading defect. -

AoA - Age Of Apocalypse. It was a series showing what happened if Charles Xavier had been killed before his time, and the resulting after effects. Not sure how it'd work for GG though.

Correct.
For Paragon it could be that during the Rikti war the vanguard and other large hero groups failed in their endevours, leaving it up to villain groups of our paragon such as the crey and the council etc to be the ones to fight and eventually win (after a longer period of time) the rikti war.
Now those first villain groups have come to power, paragon protectors patrol the streets, superpowered beings are taken openly for testing and used for entertainments, Normal humans are becoming increasingly rare as crey's enhancment operations are becoming cheaper and easier to get. The rest of the world has cut off the city nicknaming it Pariah City.
Super powered being such as arachnos have slowly started to challenge the power of the Crey and others, they are just as nasty as they would have been, a smaller number of people have survived, remembering the heroic ideals the vangard taught before and are trying to stick up to all warring factions while still staying out their way.
Obviously there would need to be a different meeting point as the statues would never have been build and it would be dangerous to have an open meeting but a meeting would have to happen. Also this makes sure there's a built in newbie reason for joining - they wish to join forces to try regain back some of the old ideals of heroism.

Can someone send a pm to me withthe bullet points nice and ordered about what's happening with this, i can't seem to get this straight in my head from reading the thread.
Personally i think an AoA type GG would be kinda cool but that's just my dark nature coming through. -
just a note on the game being on a fan site -
www.cityofzeroes.com (i think it might be .net?)
it has a game on it using the atlas park map etc. I would think as long as you're not aking money from it and there's all the correct copyright labels you might be alright. -
maybe i'll have more luck getting this done if someone else runs it, count the empath in -

I just wonder what to do with the Rikti...

In keeping with modern US handling of PoWs, they are shipped to a correctional facility in Cuba where they are locked in wire cages for years without trial.

not far off if you visit the crey compounds in Nerva.. there's a bunch of lost, rikti and DE in cages there -
Dark and Light has a non static world, you find that the monsters migrate and frequently do if you kill all the things they'd normally eat.
As a newbie it's terrifying to find someone's herded a bunch of monsters into your village... bloody spiders. -
Not to mention poor Charlie Sparks.... -

All sorts of fun things can happen when characters go out for burgers or shopping, from teenage drama, Tsoo attacks, transmuting burger wrappers into teeth, adoption and more.

.... adoption....? 0.o
How'd you manage to fit that into shopping and going for up up and away burgers??
do you get a free baby with every Up up and away heroic meal?? -
I find I'm agreeing completely with Raven on this (it happens from time to time ;-) )
And I for one abhor the longbow presence in Galaxy and Atlas. They force me to do missions at low level.. it's the only way to not be kill stolen by the game
It would make more sense to have both longbow and arachnos around the zig, maybe a few arachnos helicopters and longbow sky skiffs. -
Just to note that Civvies do go in and out of buildings.
Trust me, when I get bored I set one on follow and just walk after it (or rather run reaaaallly slowly).
Perhaps mooks can get out easily because everyone's so distracted by keeping the archvillains and bosses in. (and when they get out it's probably a great feat of lawyership) -
I think it would be safe to assume that any IC villains would be counted as "arch villians" since they have a great deal more intellegence than what would be classed as a minion. at the very least they'd be on par with a named boss.
And so it would make sense that they have either the cleverness or the resources to get out the zig.
in game the solutions would be to either remake the Zig in game to be a insecure place with the longbows you see when in breakout inplace around the outside of the structure fighting the convicts; to have a site IC that is outside the city's warwalls (and therefore extremely difficult to get in through the check points.. you never see villains using the city's motorway gates like heroes do); To have a prison like structure in your base (i'm thinking sort of like the ghost busters had); Kill them... kill them all.
However aimed at my villain (which is how this question arose) Time is a problem, any sentences carried out would mean that after she could go back to where she left off. Death is a solution but it's not heroic.
I'm in favour of Unbirth. -
I forgot to mention,
Chi... YOUR ICON RAWKS!!!

I wish you all the luck, but I'd also like to point out that it's been tried a few times. The main problem is a useable location that can be easily and safely reached by a level 1 character. Unfortunately, CoV lacks a place like the Galaxy Girl statue for people to meet up.
[/ QUOTE ]
Velvet Noir used to hold shindigs under Aeon's globe as it's fairly quiet and people who do pass through are fairly tolerant of the rp (unlike gg on some days). UNfortunately it's in Cap au aand it's still dangerous to get to even at level 14/15.
The main problem at the moment is the rogue isles are cramped, there's only 6 zones you could possibly be (discounting pvp zones) which means there are pretty much no quiet corners that are easy for "just popping by" npcs and level 1 characters made solely for rp purposes.
Ideally a new area would be introduced as a starting area so there's not so much load on Mercy then things may quieten down as new people can choose a new place to be. Allowing a quieter setting in either or both areas.
The Monkey fight club in Port Oakes is a good place to RP with monkey cage fights every 5 minutes or so.
Pocket D is usually quiet but you do get two game's worth of idiots griefing you there so you need to have a tough hide to ignore them somedays.
I for one RP in missions with my two villains and have occasional street meets but I'll fully support and attend a villains regular meet if you start one. -

i do remember tk trying to defeat tiger dark... not aid or abet the thing.
