  1. 1. Identity Crisis
I'd hate to see Infinity Gauntlet eliminated in the first round, but Identity Crisis is one of my top five favorites and I can't vote against it.

    2. Crisis on Infinite Earths
This is hard for me to admit but I have to vote against Y because I... haven't read it yet. >.> BUT I did just buy the first three TPB's so I may or may not regret my vote later. But Crisis was great, so maybe not?

    3. The Hard Goodbye
    Marv is awesome.

    4. The Dark Phoenix Saga (X-Men [vol. 1] #129-138, 1980)

    5. Death: The High Cost of Living

    6. The Killing Joke
Wish I'd been able to get this as one of my picks, but I wanted Watchmen more.

    7. Kick ***
Haven't read the Great Darkness Saga, but Kick A** is one of the most aptly named books of all time.

    8. The Sinestro Corps War
    Lethal Force has been enabled.

Still a lot of good picks though. Should be interesting.
I thought about picking the Long Halloween but had too many other things I wanted to pick - and we had enough Batman for one draft.
  3. Some of the stuff I have read over the past couple of years since I got back into comics and have loved:

    1. Identity Crisis. Must read.

    2. Green Lantern. I know you said no ongoing series but GL has, for the past couple of years, basically been one major event after another. It is easy (though probably not cheap) to catch up on in TPB and hardcover volumes. Everything from Rebirth on up to Blackest Night is great, and I'm now reading Brightest Day and enjoying that as well.

    3. Moon Knight. There are now 5 or six (can't remember) volumes that collect the full run of the Moon Knight series. That series has ended, and the next steps in the character's journey are in a new series titled "Vengeance of the Moon Knight." The first volume of that is great too.

    4. Kick A**. Brilliant story, great characters, Romita's art is as good as ever. I really wish the forums would let me type the full title.

    5. 52. There's another thread about Infinite Crisis and 52 with some good advice and recommendations for reading there. http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=239022

In fact, check out this thread: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=238565 - some old, some new, but so far just about everything in there is good stuff (except maybe House of M... you can skip that one)

  5. I'm just throwing a random number out there since I don't have time to check the going rates on stuff (and I'm too lazy even if I did have time). So I'll go with 666 million.
  6. For my last pick I'm going with something a little different than the previous picks. A little tale about life and Death:

Death: The High Cost of Living
  7. I'm going to go with a book that was both the silver lining to a storm of awful happening in the DC universe, and also the book that managed to make Captain Cold awesome.

    Final Crisis: Rogues Revenge

I can't sell stuff fast enough or a low enough price to get rid of some of this stuff.
I am considering holding stuff on OTHER SERVERS just to make room or have more room.

So what can I do ? What do people suggest I do ?

I just hate selling stuff for cheap when I know someone else is making money off my cheap sales. I know it sounds jerky.
Vendor, delete, or post it up for 1 inf. It's not making you any money by just sitting there and may be costing you money because you're not using that slot on something that does move.

Dammit! That was going to be my number 2. I really thought I was going to get my first two picks without a problem. And since Identity Crisis has been taken, I have to go straight to my number four:

    Kraven's Last Hunt

Edit: Also I want to add - this draft is already epic and we're just barely into the second round of picks. ;thumbsup
  10. Wow I can't believe it lasted long enough for me to pick:

    Watchmen

I would absolutely read Identity Crisis if you haven't already. You won't get lost without it, but it's a fantastic read and it does set up a lot of the more character-driven stuff for the other books, especially for Ralph.

Crisis on Infinite Earths is good to have read when you go into Infinite Crisis, because otherwise you might be a little lost in who all these people are and what is going on.

In my opinion, Infinite Crisis was okay. I read 52 without having read Infinite Crisis first, and I did all right, but I probably would have been better served to have read Infinite Crisis first.

52 is epic and awesome. I highly recommend it.
  12. I just realized that another one from my short list is 14 issues.

I wouldn't feel right doing that. If there is a way to break up 52 into discernible stories, it isn't by volume, it's by plotline. For example, Booster Gold/Supernova, The Question/Montoya/Batwoman, Animal Man/Adam Savage/Starfire, and so on.
  14. Ugh, next to last. And I can't pick one of the ones I had on my short list because it's WAY more than 13 issues. Good thing I have a long list, too.

I'll tell you when it actually works. I haven't tried this before. I can see the login screen at least, but I don't know if it will black out if/when I actually get logged in.

I am leaving town on business directly from the office and I had some items up on the market I was really hoping to have sold overnight so I can get in some bids to be filled by the time I get back. But I forgot it was Thursday and I wouldn't be able to log in.

I'm not using remote desktop to access my game from work so I can play the market. Nope. not me. I would never do that.

  17. If I'm busy and my salvage/recipe bag is filling up, I delete what isn't worth listing. If I get to a stopping point and I have a bunch of junk, I'll vendor junk recipes and list all the salvage at 1 inf because I know it will sell pretty quickly, and someone will be happy to get it cheap. I do all my real marketeering on characters that I don't actually play anymore, so the ones that are finding junk usually have the market slots to spare.

Funny thing is, I think if I were keeping track, I'm probably coming out ahead by listing all my common and uncommon salvage at 1 inf than I would be by vendoring it. Just a guess though. I don't do it to make money (because really there is no difference to me between 1 inf and 1000 inf), I do it to make somebody happy that they got a deal.
  18. Yeah I think Nosferatu is bugged. When Issue 18 went live, he started doing this in the Mender Lazarus SF too.

I usually run one or two of those a week on my Dark/Elec brute and he didn't start running like that until Issue 18 dropped. I have heard that he was doing it in the past and must have been fixed at some point - but it looks like I18 broke him again.
  19. Sorry I missed a few rounds of voting - I've been sick the past few days and haven't been on the forums much. Anyway:

Agreed. I tried to ignore the inaccuracy... thinking "well sure, this review is clearly written by someone who doesn't have a very good understanding of how the game works, but neither does a new player..."

But then you start talking about how you think the devs should fix things that you consider broken. I couldn't bear to watch anymore when you suggested a price cap on the markets.

I'm not going to waste time trying to educate you on all the stuff you got wrong before that, but this one should be easy: An artificial cap on market prices would only mean that high priced items will be sold off-market, above the cap.
  22. (KITTEH!!)

    1. Dramatic Look Gopher
    Gotta go with the classic.

    2. Nora, the Piano Playing Cat

    3. The Engineer's Guide to Cats
Tough pick but cat yodeling puts this one in the lead.

    4. Gesundheit!

    (Awesomely Bad Music Video)

    5. Little girl singing Zydrate Anatomy
I feel so bad for this girl that I want her to win.

    6. The Muppets: Bohemian Rhapsody
    Muppets take this round.

    7. Tight Pants/Body Rolls
Hard to top the WT*ery in this one.

    8. 4chan: The Music Video
I can't believe I'm voting against my own pick. Why did this have to be my opponent? Dammit.
  23. 1. Mark Twain's Mysterious Stranger
    This is just awesome.

    2. Half-Life: Full Life Consequences
Didnt' really like either of the choices but I went with this one because it held my attention longer.

    3. The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny!
A tough opponent for me in this category! Sorry Charlie!

    4. Hot Na'vi Sex
Default choice since the other wasn't animation.

    5. Scorpion Man
    Fatality! Scorpion wins!

    6. A Gentleman's Duel
Steampunk battle mechs were a nice surprise.

    7. Look At My Horse
I don't have to watch this one over again because that song is still stuck in my head!

    8. Slaughter Your World
Again, didn't really like either of the choices for this one. Flipped a coin.
