ATM when someone (NPC) calls my character Clause it just looks like Claws was taken. Yet the character is named The Clause for a reason (being a lawyer who needed to be rescued from some Devouring Earth who vowed never to be a victim again). When an NPC goes go off and kill me some mobs Clause it looks wrong.

Other games, I remember the action but not the title, allowed you to pick various nick names as well as the name you used, for instance if you were some sort of neuter gender you could pick hir and shir (or whatever) instead of His and She etc.

I think in this context you should be allowed to have 'The' as part of your name if you type it out and have it as an appellation if you pick it from the selection box. Yes you could end up with The The Hero, but if that's what you want I don't see why not.

Yet several people who have tried to re-start on the US (_Damnz* notably) have said they found it a lot less friendly. So who is right?

*Seems to change he name all the time.

Currently I have two characters that use 'The' as part of their name, yet virtually no in game system uses it. And the names mean less without the 'The' being used.

Please adjust $name / $target, plus the various contact dialogs (and cutscene dialogs) to use it.

Are there any Freakshow maps in MA?

Preferably the office one from mission 'Recover Stolen Weapons from Freak Show' (20-25 arc).

Either that or a warehouse type. I had a look but couldn't see any which surprised me as I thought I had seen one in the past.

However I bet the script to make a cutscene work takes up more space than just dialogue... with the current limit of filespace pre arc it might not be sensible to have cutscenes as well.

They don't mind us using the IP as long as we don't charge for it. More likely its to do with the fact that to make a working costume creator you need at some point to reverse engineer the game.

It was a joke idea but...

PvE/P Zone, FFA but heroes and villains may team together. Overall task is to stop the Rikti Onslaught by killing Rikti (and other PvE mobs). You can capture/establish bunkers using Rikti Power Cores, these must be picked up from downed assault craft. The PvP comes in because if the person carrying the Power Core is killed another player can grab the core.

Bunkers confer bonuses to your team, plus have basic facilities that allow you to rest safely. The more Power Cores the bunker has the better defences it has and the easier it is to defend both against other players and Rikti counter attacks. If you hold the bunker for a set period you gain 60 minute buffs that work anywhere.

Players carrying the Power Cores are limited to sprint and are unable to use any powers. They are also immune to all teleportation, movement buffs and stealth effects. The Power Core is unstable and the energy it gives off prevents accurate targeting, giving a small defence buff to all.

The warwall between RWZ and CF is where the Vanguard are setup, they have some bunkers up there that can be used for rest and repair. It is also where the villains can enter the zone.

The zone has no true PvE content (badges or missions) and while the long term buff could be used for other missions and TFs it is supposed to be hard to get.

Still I think I'm joking.

Rejuve CF by knocking holes in the wall between RWZ and CF and open a new front where the Rikti are trying to break out of RWZ.

Sure you'd have to do something about Villains getting in but CF is long over due a makeover.

Maybe a PvP zone in between the two zones...

Think that the Mind Control Confuses (Confuse and Mass Confuse) plus the AoE sleep (Mass Hypnosis) all say in their power description that they cause no agro, so its most likely that it's the agro part that breaks stealth (Any power that causes agro breaks stealth...) but I don't really know.

True. But what I said and maintain Marvel can do nothing to me. ((Or perhaps to say that there is no realistic way for them to find out that I use it and even if they did it is seriously unlikely that they would try and sue a user and not the creator.))

Or as I originally stated Marvel being idiots and suing NCSoft over the chance of infringements wouldn't frighten me away from using the creator if I wanted to.

they do, NCsoft has an agreement that the whole program has to stay inside asia and that the program has to be off the internet.
as long as this agreement exists, no one has a leg to stand on but marvel, so it's kinda the other way around.

Marvel cannot do anything to me because I am not breaching any of their copyrights... or if I was they would have to prove it. As I said in my original comment if I'm not actually doing anything they can see with it then it would be nigh impossible to prove anything.

Marvel could say to NCSoft you aren't stopping people using this software. But there is nothing Marvel can do.

Now potentially NCSoft could have a hissy fit at me, but again they'd have to find out that I was using it... bearing in mind I have a current client and a paid account so even if they thought I was using it I could turn round and say "I'm using the in game version thanks."

Lastly Marvel could have a poke at NCSoft, but as far as I know the only downloads now (not even looked so this is a guess) are from people downloaded form the Asian sites. The program is unsupported and fairly buggy (broken?) so its unlikely that a)Marvel will do anything and b)That NCSoft will make any concerted effort to stamp out its use.

Now if a fan made version or update came a long then I suspect there might be repercussions for that... but that would be a different matter.

I get sound when replaying demo files. But no UI... though I could have sworn that an option existed to show it.

I've been playing since EU beta, and to be honest I have been hearing these comments since then. And while PLing is easier now than ever I haven't seen many more n00b/ch00b recently than back in the old days (when all this was fields).

Because as has been said by lots of people lots of times before if you remove them most people won't bother using it, for anything. Which will waste what can be a good feature. Plus if you exemplar you actually carry on earning stuff just not XP.
