I know eh? They deliver a heck of a haymaker though, so I'm willing to look past that, hehe.

Ahoy hoy! Well, where to begin. Guardian isn't the busiest server by any stretch, but we're lively enough. Blueside moreso than Redside of course, but that's pretty much the norm anywhere you go. PvP isn't much here, if that's your cup of tea. The main Global channels used are "Guardian", "Level 50" and "Guardian's TF", although there are of course any number of other local channels. As for planned events:
Tuesday @ 6pm PST/9pm EST - DT Rikti Mothership Raid
Wednesday @ 6pm PST/9pm EST - TA Hamidon Raid
Saturday @ 9pm PST/Midnight EST - DT Rikti Mothership Raid
There's usually people around running TF's and SF's as well, many of which are announced in the Globals prior to starting. Life gets a little slow latenight PST, but there's still people on.
We're an eclectic bunch, ranging from the highly intelligent player and over to the ones that are just wonko, hehe. And if you move to Guardian, come bearing plenty of bacon and be sure to keep your cookies away from Ulli unless you want them all eaten. Oh, and watch out for Pepsi. He has a habit of eating people (or parts of people), peeing in the Globals and occasionally flooding said channels with all sorts of edible liquids, heh.
That being said, you're more than welcome to move in. There's plenty of spare rooms in our house and we're always happy to accept new people! -
...figured I'd finally get around to posting my entry to the ebil club. Radek has actually been part of the club for over a year, but I never bothered to do the usual screenie for this forum until today. So, more than a year overdue, here's the screenie:

Quote:Bad Eaion! That was Mr U's bacon! You give that back this instant...erm...then again, you could just replace it with fresh bacon.
Swipes bacon off the cake and runs away nom nom nom nom... -
Happy birthday Mr U!
Have some bacon birthday cake

You sir deserve a batch of bacon cookies for willingly taking 2bil out of circulation in such a fashion:
That being said, I've yet to consider dumping Inf into Prestige considering the conversion rate. I tend to give away excess Inf to friends that need it, in CC's and the occasional newbie in need of it. All my VG's prestige was earned the old fashioned way. just 4mil more to hit the top 100 on Guardian, hehe. -
Huh...I must have missed that or simply forgotten about it, heh. Thanks for pointing that out Texas. Guess that puts me into two of the three tiers, hehe.

Quote:Isn't it just that you get your name put into one of the pools of potential CB candidates? I was under the impression that there were no guarantees about getting into the Rogue CB...
so anyone with the 60 months vet badge, or anyone who took part in the loyalty program will get in. -
Well if there's enough people that want/need the Swiss Draw badge I don't mind setting up something on a weekend so you can get in on it Heri. We could do a few runs through the process to get everyone the badge if there's enough people for it.
-
Okay, just checked my Brute's badges and he does need Pentad, along with the Swiss Draw. If you're still going to go ahead and do this tomorrow BB, I'll drag my Brute in.
-
I think I still need the Pentad badge on my Brute so I'll grab that slot if I may. And if you end up running through the whole process again, my fledgling Hero badger (a Scrapper) needs it as well.
I'll double check in a bit to ensure that my Brute doesn't have the badge, but even if he does I don't mind filling a slot if needed with something else. In that case I can fill a slot for any Villain AT needed, and for Defender, Scrapper or Blaster on Heroes (my Blaster is only level 2 or 3 though, but can still fill a slot if needed). -
Quote:There's always some risk, of course, but if you trade the IO for 2Bn in a first step you already have more than you could get from WW (because WW takes 10%). I haven't done it before, but I think I would give away the IO in the first exchange and simply trust that the other person pays the price that we agreed on.
Indeed. Trust would the issue at hand. And the person who's being trusted to come back with the excess Inf past the cap probably would have to realize that he/she could get mentioned here as an untrustworthy trader if they didn't complete the trade in full. I know it wouldn't amount to much, but still...
In my case though, I doubt I would ever bother with off-market sales for anything, whether I'm buying or selling. Anything going for more than the Inf cap is just ludicrous if you ask me, and I'd happily settle for market value at the WW/BM. Then again, its not like I need to sell an IO for 5bil or something. 2bil is enough, and if I happen to need 3bil more for a build or two, then I'll just go out and earn it or sell some more stuff. -
Quote:Just figured that I'd mention that Demon Summoning is coming as part of i17 and not a separate release. We've known this for some time now. It even says this on the front page of the Updater.
Also GR pre-order are supposed to get access to Demon Summoning in April, and now it's a week into it and still no sign of it while Dual Pistols arrived right at the start of March.
As for the rest of the topic, I can understand some people being upset at their arcs now not awarding normal or near-normal XP due to the latest whack of the nerf bat, but come on. Is this really going to be an excuse to so many people to quit the game? Personally, I couldn't care less about it. Yes, I make use of the AE for some fun arcs here and there, yes I've got my own arcs that make use of allies, and yes, I've even farmed the AE in the past for tickets before the per-map ticket cap was introduced. But to moan, complain and /ragequit over an exploit being temporarily plugged is just childish. True, the devs could have waited until the final version of the fix was ready before implementing it, and they could have put a little more thought into the possible reaction of the player base. But to me its still no excuse for the general animosity being aimed at Aeon and the other devs involved in handling the AE. It's a game folks. If the way certain people are reacting is indicative of how they may react to similar situations in real life, I pity them.

Quote:It does have its uses though. Like making newbies wonder why you're always popping small greens while standing at the Wentworths, hehe. The Panacea proc is ridiculously overrated - I have no idea why people pay as much as they do for a proc that is worse than the Performance Shifter proc.
In all seriousness though, I wouldn't part with the one I've got. I'm quite happy having it slotted into Physical Perfection alongside a +End and +/+. For a PvP toon, every little bit helps, heh. -
Quote:True, but the LotG 7.5 is an exception. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that it is the only exception, correct? Not QUITE right. Pretty close though.
There are several sets that provide a 7.5% recharge bonus.
HOWEVER, these can be stacked with the Luck Of The Gambler 7.5% recharge global IO.
Because it's not the actual AMOUNT of the bonus that matters. It's the name used for the bonus. The set bonus 7.5's are different from those provided by the LOTG global IO. -
Quote:Up to you really. If you've got the Inf to burn, then by all means. Personally, I slot common IO's until the late 40's, then I start looking at sets. The only exceptions are sets that max out before 50 (such as Entropic Chaos, with a 35 max). I will often slot pieces from those sets as I reach their max level.
Is it worth investing in these at a low level, or should i wait till I am higher?
Quote:And besides the set bonuses, what exactly makes them different than SO's?
Quote:As far as the set bonus... its for one power, not overall? example, if i had 2 of the same set in one power i'd get the bonus, but if i had one in a power and one in the other i wouldnt?
Quote:Also.. Can you not equip the same exact one in a power? for one with a 6 set bonus, are there really 6 different types? Most i see are resist, resist/endurance, recharge/endurance. (recharge seems a lil silly for stuff you toggle on, unless you keep having to turn them back on i guess)
Quote:Sorry for all the questions... I started playing at Villain launch, and took some time off right when inventions came out... so i've been out of the loop. -
Quote:Which is great, heh. Not all of them are terrible people by any means. Its the lifelong Goons that really take being a Goon too seriously that have always been an issue. Thankfully, those Goons wouldn't last long in CoH before the community in general ripped them apart.I've met a few self-identified Goons in this game at various points in the last five-ish years. Never had any problems with any of them.
-
Quote:GoonSquad FTL, hehe. That being said, if any of them have ended up in CoH since their alliance fell apart over in Eve, God help us all!
heh heh, didn't realize the Goons had come to CoH. Awesome. -

Its not the first time, nor will it be the last. Its a popular set so its not too great a shock that there were none on the market, although its not exactly a common occurrence. Grats on your windfall though!

But does it come with bacon? That's the most important question...
