Indeed. Trust would the issue at hand. And the person who's being trusted to come back with the excess Inf past the cap probably would have to realize that he/she could get mentioned here as an untrustworthy trader if they didn't complete the trade in full. I know it wouldn't amount to much, but still...

In my case though, I doubt I would ever bother with off-market sales for anything, whether I'm buying or selling. Anything going for more than the Inf cap is just ludicrous if you ask me, and I'd happily settle for market value at the WW/BM. Then again, its not like I need to sell an IO for 5bil or something. 2bil is enough, and if I happen to need 3bil more for a build or two, then I'll just go out and earn it or sell some more stuff.

Just figured that I'd mention that Demon Summoning is coming as part of i17 and not a separate release. We've known this for some time now. It even says this on the front page of the Updater.


As for the rest of the topic, I can understand some people being upset at their arcs now not awarding normal or near-normal XP due to the latest whack of the nerf bat, but come on. Is this really going to be an excuse to so many people to quit the game? Personally, I couldn't care less about it. Yes, I make use of the AE for some fun arcs here and there, yes I've got my own arcs that make use of allies, and yes, I've even farmed the AE in the past for tickets before the per-map ticket cap was introduced. But to moan, complain and /ragequit over an exploit being temporarily plugged is just childish. True, the devs could have waited until the final version of the fix was ready before implementing it, and they could have put a little more thought into the possible reaction of the player base. But to me its still no excuse for the general animosity being aimed at Aeon and the other devs involved in handling the AE. It's a game folks. If the way certain people are reacting is indicative of how they may react to similar situations in real life, I pity them.

In all seriousness though, I wouldn't part with the one I've got. I'm quite happy having it slotted into Physical Perfection alongside a +End and +/+. For a PvP toon, every little bit helps, heh.

Up to you really. If you've got the Inf to burn, then by all means. Personally, I slot common IO's until the late 40's, then I start looking at sets. The only exceptions are sets that max out before 50 (such as Entropic Chaos, with a 35 max). I will often slot pieces from those sets as I reach their max level.


SO's only provide a boost to a single attribute (only accuracy and not acc/dam for instance). Aside from that, there's no real difference until you hit, what, the mid/late 30's? Until then, SO's will serve you well enough. Heck, you could slot a 50 out with SO's and still be fine. You don't need sets to be effective thankfully.


Correct. Set bonuses only come into effect when multiple pieces of a single set are placed into the same power. And as a side note, you can only stack a specific bonus five times, no matter the source set of that bonus. So you can only have five 5% Recharge Time bonuses for instance, even if that bonus is coming from Efficacy Adapters, Crushing Impacts and Doctored Wounds in the same toon.


You can only slot one of each piece into a single power. So you wouldn't be able to toss two Acc/Dam Crushing Impacts into Knockout Blow for instance. And yes, if a set offers a bonus for 6-piece slotting, that means there are six pieces in the set. If you look at the info on a set IO it will list all the pieces that are a part of that set. Whether all the pieces are actually available on the market when you want them is another story though, heh.

Which is great, heh. Not all of them are terrible people by any means. Its the lifelong Goons that really take being a Goon too seriously that have always been an issue. Thankfully, those Goons wouldn't last long in CoH before the community in general ripped them apart.
