  1. If the targets hit with Cloak of Fear only attack when attacked, does having Oppressive Gloom on at the same time constitute as an attack or will they still be trembling with fear along with wandering around drunk.

    6 hour downtime

Grrr downtime because of it I have....

...cleaned the house top to bottom
    ...done 4 loads of laundry
    ...tidied front and back gardens
    ...washed the car
    ...done the weekly grocery run
    ...had a hair cut
    ...avoided Jeremy kyle....

See what I could achieve if there was no CoX, thank God I dont have to do all that every day!!!!!

    Unlocked goodies

Are the AE maps etc unlocked with MA tickets account wide or just the character that has unlocked them?
  5. Ok...another angle, I was toying with Mu Mastery instead of pyre so i can save a power choice and have a travel power then i got wondering about Summon Adept as a power.............are they worth having, how squishy are they do they help much???? Never had a patron pet so it would be a new experience for me
  6. Thats why I love WP so much and you are quite right !!!! I do love building toons too on Mids, ive got so many that Ive have built and never played and im sure by the time I get to 50 it will have been tweaked a dozen times and respeced 2 or 3 more once Im there figuring out whats good on paper v's playing.

I also enjoy the good old forum debate on builds so thanks all of you for indulging me

If I were you, I'd rip out the Kinetic set in brawl and all extra slots from touch of fear, and use those 8 slots to 'thicken up' the rest of the build. (High pain tol, all attacks sixed, get a Kismet, etc) You'll still be just as tough on the defense front, and you can get a lot more hitpoints and much more solid attacks.

I think this build has too much money in it to be spread so thin on the offense side.

    Just my opinion.
I based the build on the community build DM/INV (Kalis Succubus I think) which I currently run and it really is not lacking in the damage area at all. I often don't 6 slot as it isnt always beneficial. I would like to get a purple set into siphon life but even that would be only an extra 40 damage points. As far as touch of fear slotting is concerned, I have enough recharge for the top tier chain and I was using shadow punch as a mule for 3.75% s/l def but I figured for 2 extra slots in a power I wasnt going to use i could get the same s/l def, get f/c to softcap AND get 9% global acc. Also it could be a useful mitigation power if i really need it as i'm hoping it will allow me to stack mag 3 terrors.
  8. I like, I had wondered about including rttc for softcapping, how effective is it v's actual cap?
  9. Ok...here's my updated build, i decided to forsake that bit of recharge for a full softcap (except psi of course) ragnorak proc is in. The big sacrifice is the travel power but with oubor, teleports, base, ninja run and steampunk jump i dont see it as the issue it once was. Thinking of my play style im not really gonna miss that 9 seconds on hasten but Im OCD on softcaps and I need as much back up as I can get ( 4 1/2 year vet, numerous 50's done the proper way) but still a damn poor player !!!!!

ANyway here it is....any more thoughts?

I see people slot the ragnarok proc into fireball so rarely and it was basically custom made for that power. It's such a great upgrade yet people almost invariably massively overslot damage instead. When I do see someone's fireball knock down half a spawn, I immediately mentally note that I'm playing with someone who paid attention to his build.
To be fair I normally do slot the proc. I was having a senior moment

  12. ............here is an attempt to combine them. I have a wonderful DM/Inv build based on the awsome one built by the players on these forums but I prefer WP as a secondary.

My concerns with this build are as follows:

    1. Nine second downtime on hasten
    2. Lack of accuracy (although soul drain fixes that)

Im sure there are other flaws I just havent seen them yet.
Could someone cast their eye over it and give me their opinions

  14. My CoH Saturday

    Morning ..... 1 disconnect, 2 mapserves

So thought maybe leave it for a while

Afternoon .......... 1 disconnect then unable to get back in as apparently I was still logging out for a good 15 minutes

Evening ............. 2 disconnects and a complete explosion

Not mentioning the rubber banding, lag and general frustration.

    Fun Fun Fun.

What will be done.....nothing.....apologies - none...... give a crap zero.
I work in the service industry and if we offered our customers this quality of service the regulator and media would be all over our ***** and we'd be paying out compensation left, right and centre. (Im not asking for any BTW)

I LOVE this game, I love the community and the ideas of the devs BUT a game that is not playable is not a GAME and certainly not FUN.

Ok im outright ranting now and not making much sense....*goes back to his cave*
  15. Is it possible, other than trying to get your defense as high as possible to build in defense debuff resistance.

I love the toon but debuffs spoil my fun!!
  16. I set the Esc key as a keybind then realised how much I use it as a deslect target key.

How do I clear all keybinds so everything is back to default

How do I change a keybind to deselect target

    Thanks

    ITF Solo Attempt

So, i've got it into my head to solo the ITF on my DM/INV scrapper, I've no real worries about most of the TF but my only concern is separating Rom from his Nictus as i don't think I'd have the juice to take him down whilst he is being healed.

Is there a way to split them or do you wack the Nictus first?

    Any other tips appreciated
  20. Don't forget to consider train routes if you are going to be working in the city centre, some nice leafier areas if you do a rail commute and the station is on New Street

Slotted like you have it, it's giving you less than 20% slotted. Add some more slots to it and you can, say, take the slots out of Brawl and put them somewhere they'd actually be useful. You slotted Stealth for more defense than you slotted your defense shield, that's just goofy. Stealth suppresses in combat, Scorpion Shield doesn't. Take that slot out of Stealth, put it in Scorp. Shield

I'd pull the slots directly out of Brawl and put them in Scorpion Shield. You will get your 3.75% back from slotting Scorpion Shield instead, and you'll gain some Energy defense as well.

And I'll reiterate what others here have said: Slot Tenebrous Tentacles and Night Fall for damage instead of debuff. Unless you want your wife to feel like she is just standing around healing occasionally, watching you kill things. Posi's Blast is a good set for those powers, and they give you some recharge.

Also, check out snipe sets for Moonbeam. If recharge is your goal out of the slotting for that power, I'm pretty sure one of the snipe sets has a 7.5% bonus. And the snipe sets are dirt cheap, because very few people actually use them.
I decided to move away from the ranged def idea to a s/l cap with decent cover elsewhere so i've managed to incorporate all the advice in this post....thank you all you are awesome
  22. That gives me a much better idea ty for all your help
