I'm going to give the new forums a chance to see how it all shakes out.

The biggest thing I've noticed is that the UI elements are in many ways more intrusive than the old boards.

More chrome and surrounding stuff makes the individual posts seem to get lost in the page.

The post separation space and the standoffs seem a lot greater, leading to more scrolling and makes it harder to see how a single post relates to the others.

The text contrast is alot lower as well. It would be great if we could design our own skins to allow for better readability and denser content.

Is there a way of invoking a lofi version of the pages?

I also noticed the posting is a lot faster and hopefully there will be no more posting issues.

  9. I suppose you can plug your ears and yell la-la-la-la all you want, but to try and claim that the information somehow presented before you by quite a few experienced people in both LGtf and Hami raids is wrong puts you on the wrong side of the field.

Nothing personal about it, but when you're wrong and it's been pointedly shown to you as such, you should concede the point and move on.

PS. If you think that I was personally attacking you, I apologize.

And it would be an awesome set of teams that all started and finished at exactly the same time.

And oh .... waddaya know .... another instance of The Hive could be spawned and another Hami defeated at the same time.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Uh huh...I'd like to see the great turnout in hive 2 without the core set of raid leaders who carry the whole thing 95% of the time.

Just because you don't finish the same time doesn't invalidate the argument that LGtf is a better use of time than hami for merits/hour.

On the other hand, a decent team with the right instructions can finish LGtf in 45 minutes. Try a hami, start to finish, from gathering, to EoEs, to spiking hami in that time frame.

And again, you need to get 30 people in the zone for pug hami before you can start...all you need for LGtf is 8. If you want to do a private hami raid, you can do it with 20 people but you'd still be in the 50ish minute mark, whilst those same people would be able to do LGtf in the 20 minute range.

In other words, you should quit while you're behind.
  11. Uh...LGtf can be run by any number of teams at the same time.

    Bye Bye Bridging

I would like to have seen Posi define what he thinks bridging is before putting out a poll to the fanboys and doomsayers.

The League of Champions and the Champions Coalition will be hosting a Hami Raid on Thursday, July 23rd, at 9:30 Eastern, 8:30 Central, 7:30 Mountain, and 6:30 Pacific time.

As a bonus, the raider who makes the kill shot on Hamidon (as noted in the game log, '$target has defeated Hamidon') will receive INF 10 million as a prize. To qualify for the prize, the player must have played the entire raid on an active team - leechers need not apply.

Come meet the League of Champions, and help take down the Hamidon one more time!

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Is it Thursday yet?

You really should have termed the bonus the "money shot"

i know we have ran every TF commander TF in under an hour cept posi (75 mins). As for Eden , i remember a 6:56 and for Katie 13:46. I dont the scenies so believe it if you will. We did a 25 min rsf but that was before soft spawn'n was fixed. Im still pretty proud of the 39 min manti and 49 Sis Tfs.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I think 5 min Edens were possible when you could tp past the wall AVs.

Posi I recall a 58 minute and a 61 minute run with 8 peeps on team. Never was sure how it went so fast, since most runs are in the 70-85 minute range.

  20. The OP suggested a week's worth of availability to run the TFs as much as you want, and to submit your best time.

The luck of the draw does have an influence on your best times, but the luck of the draw also affects the ability of Statesman or Lord Recluse to hit you when you're def capped as well.

LGtf has no real mob placement variables that would affect a run by more than 2 minutes, really. The rescue psychics mission must be failed in order to get a sub 30 minute time anyhow, so finding two hero NPCs is as variable as it gets.

STF's security chief hunt is the luck of the draw out of 9 security chiefs. Getting the last chief as the key holder probably adds about 3-5 minutes to a good team.

RSF's placement of the tech adds the most variability to times since it is an escort objective. Getting the tech closest to boss room is best, while finding the tech in tower 1 can add 5 minutes to a run easily.

To be honest, I don't think many people will take this rigorously, since there are many variables that can speed things up, like vet tp, mission tp, vent/ts, shivans, purple enhancements, vengeance stacking and tier 3 insps. I think it's just a fun way for people to show how much they can push the limit without being refereed. But if people want sum srsbzns to this kinda thing, knock yerselves out and assemble your uber fire/rad & fire/kin superteam!

Wow! Lots of great times, Nord. I'd love to see how Hess can be run in such a short time.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hess can be done quickly by skipping all the filler (junk ).

Off the top of my head.

mish 1. activate trap (glowy in outer chamber) and defeat a council human to get back out. This means the trap won't slow you down as it progressively spawns. Herd as many as you can for more mayhem. team lead should exit before last mob spawn to return to contact and save time.

mish 2. rescue hostie then defeat the gens. team lead may not even need to enter mish.

mish 3, 4, 5, 6. Enter mish, destroy glowy, get out. Prepositioning solo team mates to get into the radar towers saves time here. Not everyone needs to go into the mishes.

mish 7. 2 glowies to stealth (team click) and a boss room to clear with a generator. glowies might be hot (surrounded by bad guys) so this is a good test of your team's organizational skills. A good team will get their aggro managers to divert the mobs and teammates will then simultaneously click the glowies. Alternatively you can swallow a bunch of lucks and click away.

mish 8. all enemies in sector means clear the boss room, not the mission.

mish 9. vet tp teammates to the AV and dogpile on him. ouros out.

    game over, man.
