Quote:I don't think the functionality of the stack has changed although the display might...The stack remains single and you can just peel off the # of bids that filled (or cash in the # of posts that sold). I'm actually not sure that the new UI splits the stacks or just makes it look like it does because of the different tabs. If that's really the case, we're talking about potentially halving your slots (worst case scenario, but still...).

I just put in some bids for chronal skips and then I hit up some demonic threat reports (x10). Of course the auto entered last value showed up and I hit bid...poof to 8.5M on an item that was going for 1 inf
The last filled bid amount shouldn't be an auto entered default, it should be entered if you hit the up arrow or something. -
If you want to monetize the amount, look at how much the LotG 7.5% goes for on the markets. Check out all the +recharge set bonus IOs on the auction houses.
Recharge and permahasten are right behind def capping for high end builds. Speed boost can grant more recharge than 5-slotting LotG +7.5%. That in itself is a huge incentive to keep your team speed boosted.
Even on high end toons the recharge rates benefit from speed boosting. Powers that recharge in 20 minutes, 30 minutes and one hour cooldowns can be used twice or much more in the span of a single TF.
Some of the powers are Eye of the Magus, Team teleport vet power, Vanguard, etc. Of course this also means any AT's standard powers including tier9 powers. This means the entire team can modify their attack chain to rely on more powerful attacks that they may not normally cycle as quickly through because of recharge and endurance issues.
A good kinetic will keep everyone speed boosted. A smart kinetic will keep a rad perma boosted for perma AM. A great kinetic will stack speed boost outside missions, transfuse, fulcrum shift and hit transference right after someone nukes so their toggles don't even drop.
The safest enemy is a defeated one, so having everyone on your team blowing everything up 50% faster is pretty good for a single power. On a full team, that means 7 people doing things 1.5x faster. The downside is that you have to manage a very busy set. -
Quote:How did it work before the new UI?2) The thing I HATE about this new interface is that if I bid on multiples of something and the market only partially fills my order, I lose a market slot until either I pull the purchased items out, or the bid fills completely. Maybe this was done intentionally to keep people from storing so many things on the market, or maybe it's not as big a deal to others as it is to me, but all other things aside, I'd like to see at least this feature rolled back to the way it used to work.
-
Quote:Sounds like the new market is being run by CapitalOne.That feature failed me completely. It warned me if a 700k listing fee for a 14M list price, then immediately charged me 7M when I accepted.
Quote:It's coming back every time you zone, including logging out and back in later. The same issue applies to the new "delete useful salvage" prompt. It's incredibly frustrating. -
Is your OS up to date? It seems like there's a bunch of OpenGL fixes that Apple is working on as well so it might fix your black screen issues.

Everyone should email Megumi something in game. Like teddy bears.

This birthday was brought to you by the letters T and A.

If CoX seems to run better when in the background, it would seem that CoX is starving the resources of the system when it is active?
Have you tried going into your system control panel and tweaking the advanced system settings -> performance to background services to see what happens to your game performance? -

As a moderator of neither channel, I would ask that you guys take it to tells. Not exactly a community building exercise by making Cai's thread all angst ridden.

btw Who are you again? -
Are mitos affected by cage powers? If so, getting some grav/dark love on them might be a decent way towards keeping some mitos (greens and yellows I would guess) at bay while hami gets whacked.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. I have nothing to add in terms of the recommended solutions but I'll put in my 2 inf.
1. The data you have stored is the most important stuff you have there. If you don't have a backup strategy, consider doing it now. Daily/weekly offsites, mirrored drives, scripted/timed backups are necessary if you want to keep the data. If it's not stored in triplicate for me I guess I wanted to lose it.
2. Adding a good UPS(es) was the best thing I ever did for the stability of my systems. I used to blame occasional errors and bluescreens on the OS or software configurations, and even hardware failures, even though I always made sure to use name brand quality gear.
Ever since I got everything on the UPS system, nothing has failed, and my system has been rock solid since. Even things like failing power supplies have disappeared (crosses fingers) from my list of common problems. Must be the UPS conditioning the power (ie., no spikes or brownouts) making the components less stressed. -
Download a tool that can monitor your GPU and CPU temperatures.
Download furmark and see if it is GPU temperature related.
Card could be failing or maybe it can be saved by a new fan or reseating the heatsink or new thermal paste.
Download Prime95 to see if it is CPU/mem heat related.
Usually one of the two are the problem.
Oh yeah, forgot a common culprit, could the Power Supply going bad. Blow it out, don't open it because there are lots of little doodads in there that can give you an instant perm if not kill you outright. -
Quote:Quatermain loves to tell me where to go all the time when I ask questions. Sometimes I'm not even lost.I've been told that I have selfishly not attributed sources to my guide.
Thus, I do the following:
1) Quatermain has been invaluable in crunching the numbers and deciding the precise ratio of what AT/Powerset is required for this endeavor. If you have questions, I encourage you to send him a tell or find him in game and ask him to tell you how the i8 Hami was more fun.
2) Pumbumbler has been critical in pointing out the various technical flaws in my plan. To wit, he said that he has a stranglehold on all the groupies and is unwiling to release any of them without recieving a PM or in-game tell from a prospective groupie saying, "THE TIME IS NOW! I think that enri is twice the toon you are." Help me out. Help me out.
3) Jenny Lewis contributed a candy cane strategy that I was unfortunately forced to reject. I ask, plead and urge all of you reading to email her a candy cane - global is the same as the name.
Thank you all,

Groupies, ATTACK!
I think #3 is code for something. -
Quote:Prolly best to get the hami tanks to hit hami before the rest of the group goes in. Would get a bit dicey if they needed their hit in and lost aggro of 4 yellows at once.People have asked what's basically needed and convinced me that I can't expect to skate this thing and collect the groupies.
So, here it is.
Everyone with the 3 warburg nukes, shivs, hvacs (really good), and eoes (about 3 per person).
A couple of kins with ID because it turns out, not everyone puts 3 kb IOs on all their squishies.
3 or 4 dark fenders.
6 quality tanks with breakfrees and eoes.
Me.
Yellow mitos and hami will be taunted away from the mob of heroes. Said mob will smite hami and continue to smite hami, eating an eoe when instructed or when their EoE starts to flash. Hami shall be smoted until he be twain, but only after the number 3 be reached. (Tanks should think about getting a hit in at some point)
Under no circumstances shall Hami be smitten, unless it is with Mrs. Hami.
After, groupies form a line. -
-
-
They should lower the cap to 50 emails per day, but remove ALL CAPS (hehe) on mail to self and global friends and SGmates.
-
-
The biggest issue always seem to be people not listening about when they need to pop their EoEs. When in doubt, pop an EoE. Nothing more frustrating than watching a dozen or so people buffed to the gills getting defeated and rezzed without any buffs.
-
If you're thinking about doing a fast raid on hami, you're probably going to need to make sure everyone has adequate knockback protection as well.
Slotting IOs for kb, like zephyrs and karmas etc will be good, as well as using the base buff station for kb protection before the raid gets started.
Kinetics should also be on hand to hand out ID to the shivans and heavies to maximize their usefulness once the spawns get deployed.
A bubbler or two would be good to avoid squishies needing anti mez buffing.
Fallout would be useful as well. Dunno if enough stacked Leadership/Vengeance/Magus would work but worth a shot.
Edit: One more thing. You might have to do an EoE count since the AH is down (still?). Without the ability to buy EoEs you may have to set up a farm date to have EoEs on hand.
