  1. TS really, and No insps??? Did you also forget to say Heal Decay will also be on? wtf are these rules. Real tournements allow tier 1 insps and all arena temps. Why do you think they sell insps at the arena store? This Tournaments rules are the "Pansy rules", And I will agree and say a /therm and a kin team or some downy regin team will win this.

    um.. I played on Triumph from 2 weeks after the release of COH until the Free server transfers, where pretty much the enitire PvP community in the Game moved to Freedom. Still have 8 or so 50's on Triumph, and like I said I like to make most of the Hami Raids. Part of the First successful Villian Hami raid, was on the First all Corr completion of the RSF(with only 7 in the last mission btw) just to list a couple. My heart will always be on Triumph but I go where the highend PvP is and since it is not on test anymore and the PvP league is on Freedom now, then I will practice and play there.

    I never talk about Triumph there, I just always say to myself I wish most of the Triumph TF runners were there because let me say there are a ton of bad, bad players that run them and lets just say they are OMG bad.

    1. The core concept for defense is mostly the same. Defenses work the same, theres also an attribute called elusivity added to defenses to improve them.     2. Skipping a travel power is tempting, but i'd say take super speed at least. There is no penalty for dieing in pvp, but people will still do whatever they can to avoid it, you'll have to chase.

    4. Knowing what server you're on would help for this question. In pvp buildup is the much better option. Unless your fiteclubbing.

    5. Base duration for widow holds/immobilizes is 2 seconds. Even with slotting they're hardly noticable. Not really anything you can do about this one.

    6. The stealth IO does stack with mask presence. However, you can not play a widow like a stalker. The widow stealth cap is not as high as the stalker's. If you want to hit the widow cap you'll have to take invisibility from the concealment pool as IO+MP is not enough.

    7. Smoke grenade is not a hold. The -to hit is negligible, but I don't know how DR affects -perception. It was once a good disruption/harassment tool, but I haven't tried messing with it since the pvp changes.

    8. The reason people take sharks on stalkers is they crit from hide/mp. On widows the best option is black scorpion. Web envelope will keep targets grounded. Shatter armor won't crit from hide, but otherwise it's the strongest attack we have available.

    Trying to mimic a stalker pvp style is not really the way to go with a widow. We don't have the stealth or damage numbers to play like that. Also thanks to travel suppression you can't really use hit-and-run tactics.

    If you're really set on that playstyle my recommendation would be...
    - Choose squishy targets from max visible distance (blasters, controllers, defenders)
    - Close the gap from an angle they won't notice you immediately
    - Open with bu+slash from hide, followed by shatter armor
    - Lunge if you are still in range, if not use range attacks
    - Placate and slash again when its available
    - Web envelope early if they're trying to flee with jump/fly, if not save it for when you have a break with no attacks available
    - Elude if they don't drop in a timely manner and put up a fight, or have friends

    Build Advice ( tl;dr )
    - Take leadership pool if you plan on fighting stalkers in Warburg(dead on all servers?) or in the arena, with TT:L and tactics+perception IO you can see them from 100 ft. makes them easy targets. If not planning on fighting stalkers take concealment to augment your stalker playstyle and phase, or fighting for tough/weave improved survivability. (stealth and mp don't stack so grab grant invis and stick a lotg 7.5 in it)
    - Web Envelope + Shatter Armor from mace mastery, its so far beyond the other patron powers there's no comparison
    - Build Up > Follow Up

  9. I still play, but mostly on Freedom now, wanted to be there for the last Hami Raid but ended up working until after midnight. 69 month vet badge so yeah I am not going anywhere anytime soon.

  13. And if you are looking for PvP then make sure you are on Freedom, it is where most of the PvPr's are now. We have a league that is sorta on going, and there are some people talking about doing another after this one ends. The PvP zones are the most populated on Freedom also if you would want to PvP there. The other servers pale in comparison to the number of people you will have in zones and doing arena matches on Freedom. Also the preset matches in the arena have never worked, you need to find an opponent, or a team and another team to fightm and one of you list a match and the other join it, set the options you want then go fight. To answer another question, no the arenas are not cross server, hence the reason most of the PvPr's have made Freedom their home.

    The Secondary is not banned or limited to how many you can run. The power is banned. So you could have played your /Rad corr but you just couldn't use LR in a match, and if you did you would have DQ'd your team in that round of the match.

    And someone already said and I will say it again Rad/ Defenders are much better to run in team matches just based on its debuff numbers, almost double the corr version.

  22. Just search this forum for the 50bazillion other "Can I get a/What's a good Psi/EM build threads. They have been posted over and over and over again.

    and definately drop fly, go with CJ,SJ,SS, Ice Epic and slot for 41 or better KB protection. be ready to spend spend spend for a decked out purpled/PvP IO'd one, but again these are covered in the other posts on the same topic.
