    Shields

    all I have to say is:

    Really????, does the OP honestly not know about shields, like the epic or patron power shields or does he/she not understand the shield set, and no matter what with a reg. date of 2005 you would think that a person would understand the difference between a power and a costume piece.........

    Some of us did the same thing on Paper so that we knew what we were building prior to spending that inf. All the mids guys did was take that paper and calculator off our tables/desks and put it in program form. The people that play this game very casually could care less about build planners etc, and you can tell by the builds that you see some people running around with.

    I would stay away from ice, due to it being hit hard with the i13 changes on damage. You could try a fire/poison corr or go with the old mind/fire dom.

    I have been out of the loop since the end of the 1st week of Nov. with military retirement and moving and things, still don't have cable or internet access at our new place. Comcast has to run a line to our new house. I am doing this from the hotel that work has me staying in and lets just say the access is slow at best......and with the holidays I just don't see Comcast getting done until after the new year.

    And it really depends on what you like to do, damage, support, debuff, disruption. There are options for each.

    I would do the captain/co-captain thing but getting ready for my retirement from the Navy and job hunting is taking almost all of my free time. I have about enough time to log in and practice once a week or so and then hopefully make the matches.

    of course the job hunting may soon be over after my wonderful interview and site visit I had today...I hopefully will know something next week.

Also when we get down to the last draftees, there might be instances where people have to be picked in order to keep teams even numbers, in this case the draft protection will not apply.

    whatever you do if you want to roll a melee toon, I would roll a tank, just because of the higher HP cap, either Inv/SS or Shield/SS.
  21. sorry but with the changes in i13 ice blast just doesn't put out the damage that is needed to be worth wasting the cash to IO out. I would just roll up another toon like an earth/fire dom, mind/fire dom, sonic/pain corr, fire/rad corr, psi/fire/sonic/em blaster and slot that up. If your looking to be support then maybe grav/ta for disruption, kin/sonic defender, rad/psi defender or an Mind/emp, ill/emp or Emp/* defender.
    It really doesn't take that long to level up a toon and accolade it out especially on freedom(where there are usually people doing accolade runs, leveling etc).
