As a Defender, you'll be following everyone else around, playing health bar whack-a-mole, switching between blasting and lots of buffing.
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't think you have teamed with many of my defenders. Even my forcefields defenders take 30 seconds to buff and blast away for 3:30 until the shields wear off. -

...Many a times i've seen in team chat "Wow! I just hit him for XXXX, how amazing am I" and I usually make some comment about stacked Storm/Sonic/and Dark debuffs having something to do with it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Now just throw another defender primary in there like TA or Rad and you would be completely unstoppable.
I have seen snowstorm on a tarpatch with glue on the floor. That was amazing, a virtual hold. -
Have your storm summoning teammate vaccinate you for sleep with O2 boost.
-
Bots/storm with teleport as my combat travel power.
-
And the Assault Bot has -Regen which is pretty useful if not overpowered in tough boss/AV/hero fights.
-
The enhancement slotting for -recharge in pets is also included.
-
There are two things about electric blast. First, it seems to recharge a bit slower, do less damage, underperform etc. Second, it is the BEST defender blast for endurance drain especially coupling that with transfusion and transference. It is more than barely scraping by, it's quite workable. From my opinion which might not matter. Electric blast is best for my in-your-face style of kinetic attack.
To your first point, I am glad you noticed, a lot of people overlook, the -damage that you get from siphon power and fulcrum shift, along with the general recharge reduction from siphon speed, which indirectly debuffs damage. This point shouldn't make a difference in your selection between electric and dark blast though, since it's there for both.
The deal I have with /dark is that the kin needs to dart in and out of what I call 'kinetic range' (not quite as close as melee) to maximize cones for dark, or rad or sonic for that matter. As a counter-argument, I LOVE the ranged nuke on the electric blast.
Finally, I like Aim in electric blast for when transfusion just HAS to hit. -
hmmm, you don't see "TheOcho team lfm for sewer trial farm" very often in broadcast do you?
-
I suggest PBU with:
Lingering radiation
EM Pulse
Accelerated Metabolism -
Decimation has your -recharge bonus in it for your ice blasts. Of course Apocalypses are your level 50 IOs that have the big -recharge bonus.
-
I would vote for Rad/Dark corruptor, too. It has all the debuff bases covered. There is good synergy between radiation blast and the slows, tohitdebuffs, and stuns in the dark secondary.
-
I am fond of the 'amoeba' formation where the team stays close enough for Rad/emp/kinetic/dark heals - no chasing down teammates. Everyone is inside the big FF or sonic bubble for maximum mez protection. Toggles of buff and debuff are readily accessible. Nuke pecking orders are set up so no nuke is wasted. All are part of a steamrolling goal.

I like Boomtown as a hazard zone. We used to take groups of 6-8 and street sweep for xp. There is also the chance to meet the lucky Babbage on our menu.
I agree the zone is underused and could use a revamp much in the line of Faultline, but if you ever have the craving to smack down a lot of fascist Italians all at one time, Boomtown is for you. -
Silly me, I always attributed the domination to the cold not to the foe.
-
I want a power that works on teammates, especially when I am supposed to be tanking and some blaster blocks the door. 'Punt' would have a Mag 100 knockback effect potentially kicking them through the indoor map walls.
-
Today and a little this week I have been tweaking my sound settings. Today was the first I recall experiencing the Devouring Earth fungoids howling like a Council warwolf. Some other DE minions were snarling like trolls.
Anyone else see this? -

I wanted Cold...

Thermal>Cold. Nobody wants those retarded looking shields.
[/ QUOTE ]
First of all, cold performs a LOT better than thermal, and second, this is the issue where you get to color customize your power effects, perhaps even making them far more translucent! -
Crey's Folly is a secured zone with a level 30 requirement.

I agree that global channels, and global friends help open the possibilities outside the broadcast channel. I would also like to point out that the OP made a really good decision to make intelligent posts here in the forums. I was referred to my first two supergroups through the forums. I started the Triumphant Defenders through contacting Kleine Teufel. We each corresponded among ourselves after posting in the forums.
The forums get a lot of bad press, but I admire the way the community really came together as it usually does when not confronted by brash, know-it-all postings. There is more than: Doom, AE farm posts and exploits to talk about. Good job everyone. -
I am wondering if it's because of the 'pet' status of Dark Servant, and that the debuff is applied in a secondary stage once the pet is summoned.

I admit Suichiro and I have not seen things eye to eye at times, but this is priceless:

Corr teams are fantastic and rip through purple walls of XP like Olestra chips through an intestinal tract.

My two cents:
The kids take whatever/Willpower brutes combo. This is pretty safe and if they over-aggro, the Rise to the Challenge will make their regen skyrocket. Mom and Dad can help with macros to re-toggle when the bad stuff happens. One adult should take Thugs/Storm. The thugs for amazing firepower, also for the cushion of gang war if things get crazy, and you need a good aggro sponge. The other thing is freezing rain can get the drop, as well as gale, so that you hit them before they hit you. To fill out, how about a Fire/Dark. This would be a sweet compromise on all the debuff and good buffs, too! Fireball, tarpatch, twilight grasp, fire blast by level 4, add rain of fire at level 6. Now, that's a fast build out of the gate. -

What do people call the nerf to controllers' level 18 AoE hold powers, where the recharge went way up, the aggro count went down, and the duration was dropped?
[/ QUOTE ]
That was the GCN (Great Control Nerf), not go be confused with the GDN (Global Defense Nerf). There was also the ED (Enhancement Diversification) Nerf.
It was a rough patch, that's for sure.

I have to agree. I think the thread has been rickrolled. This reminds me of something CheitaCorps would do.

i am on freedom, ign xAzraelx, thinking of going villain this time... is the COH tutorials or the COV tutorials more helpful for a n00b u think?

This is where he/she slipped up. And isn't Azrael a cartel name? -

i heard the best thing about fearsome stare is the -to hit, is that true? if so should slotting be different?
[/ QUOTE ]
I know the best thing about DARK SERVANT is the -to hit, and that's a fact. Six slot this power and make sure you have maximum -to hit enhancement.
