Its a display bug, you have your effective tier 1 enhancement percentage (>90%?) for damage effectively. Since the tier twos also accept tier 2 resist damage type enhancements, the bug displays damage at those levels also. You are good to go!

I threw this together based on my experience with demons and the dark secondary. My level pact partner will probably comment. First I boilerplated in the default powers: (tongue in cheek) twilight grasp, summon demonlings, enchant demon, howling twilight, summon demons, hell on earth, fearsome stare, stamina, summon demon prince, abyssal empowerment, and the dark servant. Maybe a joke, maybe not, I wouldn't slot these any later than available. Then, I backfilled, tar patch, darkest night, crack the whip, hurdle, health, shadow fall, hover, fly, and group fly in the gaps. With the temporary travel powers from the low level mayhems, you should do fine until you can take the permanent powers.
Next for enhancement slots, I filled the demon summons ASAP. These are your attacks. I backfilled as available to twilight grasp, tar patch, howling twilight, etc as slots become available between the demon summons. There is truly a slot shortage until the level 30s so you slot the must haves: acc in twilight grasp, recharge in tar patch and howling twilight, endurance reduction in darkest night until your situation is alleviated in the 30s.
I gave some priority to howling twilight and hell on earth since these two powers can really break up the initial hits your mastermind group will take when striking spawns. This is where your dark secondary really shines. -
Enervating Field actually casts fairly quickly and reduces the incoming damage early in the fight. Another good place to sprinkle damage procs is in choking cloud. Three players running three damage procs in three choking clouds may be very formidable.
-
Most of my defender cones (in your case frost breath), with the exception of fearsome stare perhaps, I usually slot an enhancement for RANGE. This not only makes the cone longer, but also when it's longer the AoE gets wider at the farthest point. There are a lot of advantages to this.

Quote:I see you agreeTraps anything is fine. I think I like traps/dark the most. You're a tank starting the minute you can stack FFG, Seekers, TT, and NF. By the time you add Triage, Aid Self, or Drain Life it just starts getting silly. Add in Vengeance and Force of Nature and ...
Tenebrous Tentacles is the big synergy power sticking things on the caltrops and in the 'killing field'. That's when all the AoEs shine.
-
If you have SO level enhancements, 3 slots of endurance modification is plenty in short circuit and ball lightning. Personally on my kinetic/electric, I five slot ball lightning as a targetted AoE power for accuracy and damage and throw in the sixth slot for endurance modification. Ball lightning does only modest end drain. Short circuit is a five or six slot power, I would switch two of your end mods for accuracies; it still has to hit.

It would take a better number cruncher than me to figure out if you need stamina or not, but I think you should have 2/3 accelerated metabolisms active at one time. Eventually with IO -recharge I am sure you can get perma-AM for all three. (Base 422 recharge, 120 second duration.)
I would probably keep mutation, but I am not sure how much dying your trio will do with 3 RI's running. I think 3 choking clouds at once would be extremely powerful, but I am not sure you could support that without stamina. It would definitely need heavier end redux slotting than usual. I like the triple leaderships you are taking. What I wondered is if you took triple manuvers for defense on top of all the to-hit debuffing for another layer of security. -
Quote:It sounds very much like the sync bug, Gameboy.I had this happen to me a couple of weeks ago. My pets just plain stopped following me or doing anything at all, although I could still TP them, get them to "say" things when I switched stances on them, and they'd also auto-tp to me if I moved far enough away.
I did a "/petcomall dismiss" (which got a verbal response from them but no animation) and then logged off and back in. Then I could summon them and they all worked. It's like the /sync bug but for pets or something. -
You did a lot of hard work in writing up and describing the ins and outs of snowstorm, but (don't you hate that word) I believe you left something out. Snowstorm has an AoE interrupt that will prevent certain foes from doing certain nasty things. Embalmed vahzilok are unable to detonate in the area of snowstorm. Certain self-destructive Circle of Thorn mages also are unable to explode in a snowstorm. My favorite interruption is that skyraider raider engineers are unable to set up forcefield generators while under the effect of snowstorm. I am sure there are other interruptions I have missed - oh I think snowstorm interrupts Rikti communications officers from opening portals.
-
It's hard to go wrong with Traps/ on a defender choosing a secondary. On my traps defender, I went with /dark to help with -tohit. It's a real BEAST on teams, and not bad solo either.
-
Just a reminder, have your cake and eat it, too. You can have a solo build at level 10 to go along with your team build. For myself, I built a regular team build and a PuG team build.
-
I suggest a new thread for snowstorm.

Quote:Indeed, traps, forcefields, even sonic defenders are your friend! There is always room for more defenders on your team.Reroll as a Traps or Forcefield Defender
.
Other than that there isn't a lot you can do other than always carry break frees. Taking Aid Self and using it every 45 seconds will give you 48.44% stun resistance but as Draggynn said mez resistance just decreases the duration so most of the time you'll need a break free anyway or you'll be dead. -
I took repel on my first kinetic. I found it was very useful on bosses. Ones in particular I recall are the Lost bosses with the big swords. Repel has a unique ability to interrupt. In practice, you can learn to anticipate when the foe is going to stop and initiate an attack. Right before he sets up, YOU step into him and the repel interrupts and kicks the target. People on teams will still hate you for the kb. Good Luck.
-
The benefit of DP on a kinetic is a variety of AoE attacks that maximize the buffs.

"If you plan to use sleet often..."
I cannot imagine a situation where a stormy would not use freezing rain or a cold would not use sleet as soon as available. It's a HUGE debuff and alpha eater. -
I would suspect if a player did pass away, their characters would not be deleted unless someone has their account name and password and would just 'sit on the shelf' as a silent memoriam.
-
That's not a bad combo. The debuffs in dual pistols complements the defense in the bubbles. Keep bubblin' and blastin'!
-
Derail away. I have a Necro/thermal that works fairly well. Flaming zombies smell like chicken.
-
I would try to work weaken into the build; it's very valuable. I am not sure what you gain by six slotting hurdle and superspeed.
-
For a first mastermind I suggest a Bots/Traps. The bots tend to wander less than the thugs. I found I need to manage the bruiser and arsonist for maximum results where the bots are self-managing. Good luck.
-
Quote:In light of this, you have damage mitigation in triplicate! Max out that damage. First, I wouldn't take PFF on a team build if I have a Sonic teammate and another FF teammate. As usual, I suggest a team build and a solo build available at level 10. I highly recommend Assault over Manuvers. Your team is swimming in defense and debuffage. I suggest you take insulation shield even if it only supports the other FF defender.I happen to be on the team in question, here's the roster:
Sonic Resonance / Dark Blast
Storm Summoning / Assault Rifle
Dark Miasma / Radiation Blast
Trick Arrow / Archery
Forcefields / Dual Pistols
Radiation Emission / Sonic Blast
Cold Domination / Dark Blast
Forcefields / Ice Blast (mintmiki)
Good luck. I am extremely biased towards all-defender teams. I see nothing but success for this venture. -
The term necro post is a common reference to when threads on the forum have been inactive for a long time and then someone replies to that post, resurrecting that thread to an active status. I in NO way meant to indicate necro being a statement of condition to your lost friend. I would also point out that the thread topic is misleading to your intent.
I, too, have had friends that played for long periods of time that suddenly leave the community for some reason. I have had good friends disappear, and I am NOT belittling you in your search for your friend. I sincerely wish you luck in your search. -
I summon the avatar formerly known as Westley for your timely critique.
