  1. Yeah, I'm aware of the taunts... but even with Invincibility the mobs scatter like crazy. I mean I walk into them, hit an attack or two and without even killing the mobs they scatter and just run all-out away.

Edit: Meant the punchvokes, not the aura. Yeah, Invincibility still scatters them like crazy. I first noticed it in AE, so I did a couple paper missions. Same thing. Had a friend try it on his Spines/Willpower, and another on his MA/Fire scrapper. Same thing happened (in both AE and normal missions). No idea why it's happening.
  2. I'd been leveling up a couple scrappers (Spines/Fire, Elec/Inv) before i18. When GR went live I rerolled the Spines/Fire to make him Praetorian.

I just recently started playing them again in the past few days and every time I go into a mob, solo, they take a couple swings at me and then they all scatter in every direction. Doesn't matter if I have a taunt aura on or anything like that... they just run. It's really frustrating, I don't remember them doing this before.

Anyone else have this issue? It is driving me nuts.

Edit: They don't do this to my tanks or brutes or even to my Arch/NRG blaster.
  3. One of my favorite new characters is my SS/Fire brute. I didn't make one for a long time because I thought it probably wouldn't be fun outside of farming. I was wrong. I made a simple 250m inf build, it works well in normal gameplay as well as farming. Will I share it? Nah. I think the main reason it works well is because of my playstyle - it's not something I would recommend to others. SS/Fire is still fun even without my goofy build though.

As for "just play the game"... farming is also playing the game. Different strokes for different folks.

Edit: I made my SS/Fire brute after seeing my friend play his while I was on my also-new Fire/Fire tank. I thought my Fire/Fire tank was killing things fast.... but the SS/Fire brute smoked the speed of my tank. I still enjoy my tank, but if I'm out to farm, it's usually going to be on my SS/Fire now.
  4. Accuracy took a major hit in i18 - but nevermind that, there's a monster on the wing!
  5. Oh, I also have a ton of old names from other games I break out now and then. Heck, "Adelante" was from a tournament I took part in way back in the day. It was a BattleTech tourney and my group was assigned the name "Adelante Company", even though it was a Battalion and not a Company. I think it was a name from one of the books, to be honest. I still use it now and then.

Kizmeti, my new Fire/Fire Tank, is re-using the name I made from a while back. Back then, my girlfriend was Rachael T. Terre. It took me a while to find out what the "T" stood for, before that I just called her "T" because it pleasantly annoyed her. I don't know the word for that exactly, but 'pleasantly annoyed' is close enough. So when she wanted to try Dark Age of Camelot, the game I was playing at the time, I made a very unsubtle character name. "Kizmeti". Or, "Kiss me, T".
  6. After looking at his sig, "50 Claws/WP Scrapper. Highest DPS in game, 7 toggles including FA --> no end problems!" I have no further comment.
  7. I only liked a couple story arcs in Praetoria and found the experience more frustrating than entertaining. Some of that may have been lag from all the server load when it first came out but I'm just not that enthused about going through it again regardless.

    >> Can we Duel?

A little reminder, powers behave a little bit differently in PvP than in PvE. Different damages, lengths of duration, and effectiveness. Some are higher, some are lower, etc.

    Super Stunners?

So far my experience with the Super Stunners is mostly limited to the Silver Mantis SF. At that level they are not all that dangerous... but I don't think they have all their tools at that level. I'm not sure, but I know I've never been put to sleep by them or had all my end drained.

I've only fought them a couple times at higher levels and both times they died (and rezzed and died again) pretty easily. Then again, I love having my holds/stuns etc
  10. My experience has been the opposite, where hostages will simply stop and look at the surroundings instead of following an unstealthed character in a straight frickin' line. No sprint, no super speed, no swift, no extra run speed or stealth that might make it a little bit explainable. They just freaking stop following. It is very, very frustrating.
  11. This game? A couple days. (Event happened very early Saturday morning).

Other games? 4 months. They actually e-mailed me 3 months after I quit the game and asked what my problem was.

I'd actually typed it out, submitted the reply, went downstairs to get a drink, then thought, "Oh crap the mods will not be amused..." and came back upstairs and edited it out.

I have a dirty, dirty mind.

Edited out because I don't want to get banned. Wowzers.
  15. After today's patch the snipe powers are pretty crazy in their insta-cast ability. No longer interrupted and their cast time is very, very short.
  16. For my final build, or at least an alternate build, I tried to see how hard it would be to soft-cap smashing/lethal defense. Turns out I don't have to use many sets that I consider expensive, though there are a few that are 20m+.

Considering that he's only a level 7 Praetorian atm, I am leveling him with a completely different build with no regard to set bonuses until around level 40 or so. It may turn out that Defense is not a high priority for my playstyle with the character, if that's so then I'll dump this build and make a different one to suit my playstyle.

    Highlights
    Rain of Arrows: 21s recharge
    Smashing/Lethal Defense: 46.7%
    Energy Defense: 36.9%

    Lowlights
    No PBU
    Requires Patron Power Pool
Not many slots for Glue or Poison Gas Arrows
EMP Arrow not as effective for End-draining

  17. I want a similar feature in Paragon/Rogue Isles. Suppressed if possible, but I'd settle for completely turned off.
  18. There are a lot of demonic arcs and missions Redside. Heck, there's even a SF where you fight a huge -boy, I say HUGE- demon.

I do a pretty poor Foghorn Leghorn.

Edit: You could always be a Vigilante or a Rogue now and just do it all, anyway.
  19. Was going to help someone get their teleport beacons but the loading screen to PI just stopped loading and sent me back to the login screen.

    7 times and counting.

I was coming to ask the same thing.
  21. When you make a new character the enhancements are placed in your tray automatically. You do not get them on pre-existing characters.

Some kind of official word on this would be nice. I set aside the whole day for this, and it's going to waste.
