You all shock and disappoint me. How the heck did this thread go this long without someone saying "snoo-snoo"?
  2. Stamina.

Also, it's not unique. If you were to have other powers like Quick Recovery or Physical Perfection they go well in there as well.
  3. The ally rez in Destiny isn't on the heal, it's on the Barrier one.
  4. I filed a bug report on the 'new' UI where the buff icons next to it get humongous at random intervals. No idea why it's doing it but it's extremely distracting when you have buffs that are nearly an inch in diameter covering the middle of your screen. Switched back to Classic, no issues.
  5. What would be more helpful than -50% damage to you one-third of the time? It's a long-duration debuff.
  6. A combination of all of them would be best for obvious reasons but I lean towards Paralytic for the -DMG. It's not a huge amount but I don't think AVs resist -DMG.

I saw this question and just wanted to chime in really quickly to help you guys out. There are three Astral Merits to be earned in Lambda Sector for the entire League. Here are the ways you can earn them:

    • Acquire all 10 Pacification Grenades during the Interior stage
    • Acquire all 10 Molecular Acids during the Interior stage
    • Acquire all 20 Acids and Grenades during the Interior stage.
Additionally, an Empyrean Merit is awarded for successfully defeating Marauder during the final stage. This brings the Merit reward total to 3 Astral Merits and 1 Empyrean Merit for a full completion of either Lambda Sector or the BAF. Hope that helps!
I really don't like this as it means you either get 0, 1, or 3. I'd much prefer it if they changed the third Astral Merit requirement to destroying/closing all 10 of the reinforcement doors in the final stage, that means you can still get 2 Astrals (or just 1) if you don't get all 10 of either (or both) temps in the previous stage.
  8. I haven't even seen a stalker on any of the pug trials I've been on. Kind of disappointing to me.
  9. If you mean the mid-level ones (Admiral Sutter and Mortimer Kal, I think they're called), I do not know. I've not done them yet.

If you mean the incarnate trials BAF and Lambda then they are about 45-60m apiece, sometimes a little longer depending how long you take with the untimed phases.
  10. I redeemed a slot for my 5th year vet reward before i20 hit, it's gone now

Really wanted to make another scrapper, too.
  11. Last night I ran BAF about 5 times (5 failures. 1 failure on the runners, 1 failure on siege, 3 on the last stage). I paid for incarnate xp 3 times and unlocked judgement. I then used the threads I'd earned (after converting astrals to threads) and made my judgement power. Total time: About 3 hours.

I also ran 3 Lambdas. 1 success, 2 failures. The success gave me 50% of the XP I needed and I blew 6 threads for incarnate xp to unlock the Interface slot. I didn't have enough threads to make the item, though. Total time, including BAF runs: 5 hours.

At no point did it feel like a grind.

Oh, and that Lambda success? 8 people. No heals. 3 scrappers, 2 blasters, tank, widow, cold defender. We did get all of the molecular acids during the third phase and 9 pacification grenades.

The only thing that frustrates me is that Lambda doesn't give many Astral Merits in comparison to BAF. Well, that and league leaders that won't start without the maximum number of people possible.
  12. 1) The fortune teller buff gets the option to never prompt (deny), never prompt (allow), and prompt each time. I ******* hate this thing but don't want it removed because there are some people that like it.

    2) The new warehouse 'room of lag' gets removed and replaced with a normal warehouse room with graffiti on the walls that says "We're Sorry".

    3) Forthcoming.
  13. You might consider going 'tank' instead and taking them to 18 for Burn. Run ambush farms at +0/x8, pop purples, and rake in your tickets.
  14. I still have mine, I have big sacks full of boxes from games I've purchased.
  15. I have been a gamer of CoH since closed beta. I have taken breaks from CoH at various points because the PvP in it has never been satisfying for me but I always end up coming back because it has something no other game has. I don't know how to put that into words, really, it's just... the whole thing. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. It's the in-game support, it's the support team on the internet, it's the developers, it's the other players, it's the feeling of being a part of something in the game, it's... just great.

While I am still very disappointed in the PvP part of the game I can satisfy that part of my gaming habits elsewhere. I can't satisfy that part of me that craves that unique CoH feeling anywhere else in any other game. There's something special about this game.
  16. I had a Kin/Elec for a while but rerolled DM/Shield for something a little different from what I already had (I didn't have any current defense-based melee characters). It's very viable in the mid-game at least. I got mine to 34 before I rerolled and it was a very durable and powerful power mixture. I think my final build was built for 32.5% s/l defense but I can't remember for sure.

I think it would be a good choice for late-game as well.
  17. It's both for me. I'm goal-oriented in games and reward-driven. That doesn't mean I don't like playing the game, I do... I like doing difficult things and being rewarded appropriately. A good example is the upcoming trials. They can be very challenging and the rewards are appropriate for them. A poor example is the Roy Cooling arc I just did that was moderately fun, filled with annoying mobs and annoying mission mechanics topped off with a reward that is completely unfit for the arc and left a rotten taste in my mouth. Seriously. 5 reward merits & 11k xp? Seriously? I got like 3 bars of xp at level 24 doing this entire arc from start to finish killing pretty much everything in my way.
  18. I tend to run Borea missions in RWZ when I'm a-shardin' on my Fire/SS tanker. +0/x8, get my vanguard merits (roughly 25-30 per mission) at the same time.
  19. I experience the lag, too. And guess what? The room's in one of the trials in i20. Yay for horrible lag in timed parts of missions!
  20. To counter the 'globals always full' on Freedom and Virtue argument - on these servers you don't need the global channels nearly as much because they are so populated. Yes, they are still *very* helpful, but if you're in a level-appropriate zone then chances are you can get a team together regardless.
  21. When my character slots on that server are full and I am unwilling to go to a new server but really want to try something different than what I have. I've deleted a lot of characters over the years ranging from level 1 to 50.
  22. Welcome back!

I'd suggest Virtue as a server, the population is very friendly. In fact, I can almost guarantee you'll have an SG invite before you finish loading into Atlas. Don't accept it. Trust me.
  23. And let me just say : Yes, the Scorpion Shield is worth it.

FWIW, we recognize that there are plenty of opportunities for improvement with some of the...shall we call them "legacy"...TF's/SF.

I spoke to SM about this topic today, and he clarified with me that we do intend on revisiting this, and he did indeed point out the Citadel TF as being one that could be viewed as particularly egregious, however we aren't announcing any revamps just yet.

Please look at the Synapse TF first. Please. I am begging you, but not on my knees because then I couldn't see the monitor.
