i think the only things that cost are the things that let you hold items.....
since you said you where already donating stuff...and only going to come back now and again shouldnt be too big of an issue....you should be able to dump quite a bit on the suction house.....
the ingame email doesnt last forever so i am not suggesting that to cary items.....and i think it also has a limit.
but yah....like i said just get rid fo the items that hold things.....that should be the onyl items that charge rent.....i dotn think anything else does...maybe the oroboros stone does too or the desk that lets you craft or maybe the vault access items as well...but not sure about those. -

You want to level fast....you can surpass any phoney scrapper anyday by just doing more missions.....eventualy you will get to a point where you have alot more merits and missions you have done....that you can slot your self fairly well....and then you can pick and choose your targets...selecting bosses and ignoring minions mostly.....
Thats my advice....
And when you team and can do things fast...trust me...everyone you normaly play with will start trying to mimic you alot.....they wont do as well....but people will start asking for you specificaly....because you will be the Stalker..the one that can bypass pretty much everything and save the team when no one else can. -
I think the concept for that is the extra healing factor...ie....being able to sit in many enemies and use a bigger heal on and beyond the one inthe ninja set thus why alot of focuse is being given to defense...as the player is trying to create large amounts of it and resistance to make the character more sturdy.
But at those low levels the character has virtualy no attacks...so they would be like my latest controller and be using veteran attack powers almost exclusively.
I myself am puzzled by the placate power being gotten at level 44 and blinding power being gotten before it at level 35...on the second build
I mean i cant fathom not taking placate as soon as possible. -

But Stalkers are end friendly, you might have yours slotted for low endred. Even if you attack nonstop, a scrapper or a Brute will almost always use more end, since they have taunt/damage auras, more AoEs and draw more aggro. I only had some problems with my EM/Nin when I was on SOs and slotted ET and TF with acc+dmg only because I wanted them to hit like a truck and I didn't have slots for endred when she was leveling, but nothing major, my BR/Traps and ice/time corrs have to eat blues fairly often even with SOs and endreds, as my WM/EA Brute (WM is an endhog btw). Even my Elec/Regen never had end issues and Elec is 'the AoE set' for Stalkers.
And I wasn't the Stalker you mentioned, on Freedom I only have an Elec/Ea blueside that's my namesake (well he's Kyioshi, Kioshi is my WS).
I was playing a claws/willpower stalker at that time....

And that has only ever happened to me kind of once...and that was because the Group literally had not one support character and the team leader thought on the Tin Mage Trial it might be a good idea if I could play something that had some heal powers. -

well you can always take a sniper attack as a Stalker from a Patron Pool if you want to....that is to say if someone feels they need to have some high damage opener attack still.
I personaly use a Sniper Shot with one of my stalkers...to do long range Assasination hits....
Yah i know i wont ever do the damage of a Blaster...but it still makes me happy hitting something at a very long range away....having it run towards me....then i use my assassin strike on it.... -

Well channels...there are some server wide channels and channels that hit all servers....
As you noticed help is one for server wide....another is the architect and there is a PVP one....and hmm there is a few others that are not automaticaly added to your global window.
There are also made channels for entire servers that go cross server as well.
I play on Guardian server....the chat channels i pay attention to most are mostly Guardian ones....Looking for Team.....Guardian TF, Guardian Team...among others...
But also I pay attention to the Legion of Catgirls channels which the memebers are on all servers sooo....its cross server.
So anywise these are open channels......i think...>_>
Anywise if anyone does have trouble finding people to play with....Guardian server has tons of people who play alot....and do the long task forces and things alot..... -
I am confused.....about what Positron said about Double rewards for the first time playing it....
I did this for the first time last night with a little help....4 other players...=^_^=
Thought it would be neat to have other with me getting confused or helping me along when i got confused....
It was ok....the story on the first mission was a little confusing as it seamed things happened with no explanation.....someone in the Team said we needed to slow down and savor the missions more to get more out of it...so we did...
Ran the second mission...it was ok.....thrid was really neat with a great map.....hope to be able to actualy go to the real area sometime inthe furtue.
But as for the rewards....I dont understand the double rewards reference at all.....not sure what the double reward is that is being refered to.....had a choice of 4xmerits a astral merit a hero merit and some threads......so i dont think i am understanding double rewards for first time doing this....
Did i get the wrong rewards?
And if i didnt...how exactly are these considered double?
Also what was the deal with the comic book screen...just said press enter......was there supposed to be more to it?....I noticed no one else could read the dialogue much if they where not the team leader...so i am thinking there was supposed to be a comic book thing...so everyone could stay up to speed with the dialogue and mission things.....but guess not.
As for amount of time it took.....thats about right.....been doing other multi-chapter stories in other games and its about the same....might seam short just doing this chapter....but for some people they do alot of chapters all at once in those other games.
oh one thing that might be kind of neat to add if its not already going to be put in....maybe some puzzles or mini-games.....ok...I admit it...i am spoiled fromthe star trek online adventures they do....go figure. -
I have not had this issue at all....i am only runing with a gtx480...and not SLI either...
so not sure what to tell you....i too have just about everything at maximum....except for maybe bloom becasue its way too bright for me and that horrible fish-eye point of view thing becasue i cant stand fuzzy things inthe distance.... -
Well i got to try out the stun and the changes to the powers...
The energy drain one still seams to do the same thing as before...albeit gives less energy and effects less targets...before i could get back to maximum with it now i get back to 80%.....so nerfage in my opinion
The energize power being changed to a heal effect....hate to say this....but it gives barely any health.....i am talking less then a standard health inspiration.....i forget what else its supposed to do....not much at all in my opinion.....now its just something i dont really use much unless i get damaged severly....and dont have any health inspirations....(its become like shadow meld....as in another power that requires a high level to get it....yet works worse then level 1 powers or inspirations)
The disrupt power....like others have said still uses the same animation......and quite frankily.....cant seam to stun much of anything....the listing on it says its a certain mag level but it doesnt do that...its like a mag one stun....it uses energy like it did before for anything it tries to hit.....so its still an energy gobbler...but now it doesnt work on half the things the knock back did....it works on low level below 10 levels minions....not sure what else to say about this.....might be usable for stacking stuns....but its duration is way too low. -
Didnt see all of these onthe threads....
1. Cannot connect to specifc servers
Every so often some server will say when i click it...that the server is not open for public access at this time....?!?...What the heck!!!
2. Servers display erroneous load limits and in game servers are experiecne bad lag spikes.
Think everyone knows about this....logged onto a server that was PINK and RED and the game play was mostly fine.....logged onto a server with a green rating and i see lag spikes up the gazoo...in game packet meter shows me this.
3. You have a mission, but it has an invalid door_id. Make sure that the city zone containing your door is running on a live mapserver!
I loved this, got this from 3 differing missions on a few characters....auto-complete seams to work....still have one of these misisons on a character...so um....dont know what is going on with this. The effect is you have the misison but no waypoint for the door....I only get that message when i attempt Mission Teleport.
4. There was an Error with your Transaction, if the problem persists contact technical support.
Thats an error i get when i try to buy some stuff...click onthe add coins option...get coins...and then try to get the items or hit continue shopping.....the thing works...but just keeps popping up the message.
5. Respec Failed
Yah i like this one...i can get this to happen if i am level 4...and use a free respec token...in this case i did so...becasue i took a travel power i decided i didnt want...tried to change travel powers....and could not....the net result was the game said the respec failed and erased all the enahancements i put in my enhancement tray.
Luckily they come back if you complete a mission....dont know why that made them come back...but go figure.
I think this has something to do with the database and how its not reading the new travel powers being put down to lower level access. As i was able to respec if i got rid of all travel powers.
6. Super base Emblems Inside all changed to Toxic Emblem
This is something i found happening on 8 differing super bases....The Legion of catgirls has a few super groups and a bunch coalitioned.....so...figured i would go into every one and check....I found on one i could edit that the emblem super group things all have that same emblem even if i never used them before.....so another data base issue.
I keep wondering when someone will put the same texture on the top on the bottom of the floor texture....how tough is it to change a 0 to what is it? 1 or let me guess 5...yes i noticed how the game reads the data for base items.

Well i had the same issue.....did that work around and it worked.
Unlike what other people are doing.....i did my change via through the game itself....click on the store then account....log in and and can do it from there.... -

I'm on Freedom and I can find a team, almost any day within minutes as a scrapper. Some other AT's I can street clean for a half hour and not get a sniff....
As I mentioned, my Stalker is a very cool , thematic character for myself. I'm halfway to moving him blue side.
I had an old respec I used based on a (rare) forum post on MA/Ninjitsu and found it was worse than the one I had going! So I need to redo him... yet again!
Looking forward to getting him blue side so I can actually team with him!
I play on Guardian server mostly.....so i dont know exactly what anyone else has encountered...but i dont think i have ever had too much trouble getting a team.....
So if you or anyone has trouble getting teams with stalkers....Guardian server tends to be a little bit more open minded when it comes to playing...people there tend to want to play and only want players who will play...and mostly could care less about archtypes....
I think the only time they actualy care if its for something like a Hammidon Raid or the Keyes Trial...and even then....as long as they can get enough of a specifc archtype they dont mind what else anyone wants to play. -

You guys saying that damage is the issue are missing the point. They just don't bring anything to a team in the 40's. They just use up a team slot. How many teams are you on featuring stalkers? How many of those (few) times do you actually benefit at all from the Stalker's presence?
They're not even good at guiding hostages out of missions. Their number one use is stealthing a mission and team tp'ing everyone to end of the mission.
IMO they really left stalker in the dark (pun intended). It really is the red headed step child AT, and it needs more than a damage buff... it needs to function on a team. We have enough 'solo' AT's and farmers... how about making it a team player?
Like as a small example (one of many) how about that AS rendering a 'crippling' side effect? Something that carries a real debuff? A -res? Anything... stuff like that.
I truly understand how you feel about stalkers....I agreew ith your ideas....i think those would be a great addition to a stalker....
In a nutshell me personaly i always felt that hide should have a threat reduction....thought it was added to it becasue of the error attribute listed inthe hide descriptions....but figured it was broken.
I also always felt the assassin strike should always hit....if it was going ot be imposed melee range imposed not moving with a delay or it gets interupted to it being able to be interupted...then it shoudl always hit....including targets like boxes and ones just standing there.
I Also felt the damage from stalkers never really worked very well becasue there was always something that resisted it way too much....to a point that you could always run at leats one missions where your attacks just didnt do much at all...some people said it should be non-typed...i dont know perhaps thats an option.....but i think i like your idea of the -res or some other huge debuffs.
But then i dont know.....they are a melee character that seams to get penalyzed alot for being able to have one melee attack that competes with super long range sniper attacks...but for some reasont he developers never penalyze those players with that attack....never made too much sense to me.
Heck it still bugs me they have that crazy shadow power in the patron ghost widow pool....thats the power that gives you less defense and has a smaller duration then a defense inspiration.
It like they want to give bad powers to stalkers for some reason....
Its sad really....when they first introduced the stalkers...i used to have my defender hunt them in pvp areas...because i realized they where pretty much not that great. if you could see them and find them. -

You are right Golden girl.
His plans do work at many levels.......and i wouldnt be surprised if storywise Emporer Cole hadnt made a deal with the Hammidon in the first place.
After all....when you play the Preatorian side....you find out that tons of heroes and the millitary together couldnt stop the Hammidon...but all of the sudden Cole by himself managed to beat it....and coincidentaly enough the special heroes directly under him are all villains and heroes with their own agendas that for some reason dont really trust cole but dont even bother him about it....
Its like a warped version of LOST or Falling Skies TV shows...secrets being kept for no particular reason with an obvious undertone...that will probably get re-written as soon as anyone mentions it.
By the way...since energy cant be destroyed...and since technicaly when you can control it at a certain level...like a certain hero and Preatorian can..... negative and positive become the same thing.....why is it...we never see Positron or Anti-Matter ever face off against each other?

These Hammidon things have one thing to fear above all else.....
The people who not only hate giant monsters...but whom also need a few more exps to level....that combination can kill anything.
I expect the hammidon seeds to last maybe 1 hour tops.
And if those people dont level in that time period.....>_>
I know they will....if they have to.....go to Preatoria...kill the preatorian version....use whatever dimension hopping equipment they can find and kill all the other versions....until they not only level but level a few times.....just to spite the fact the first encounters on primal earth didnt level them.
I mean seriously.....didnt anyone ever notice that the the enemy NPCs all start running away and hiding when they find out someone only needs a few more exp.

I certainly wasn't saying that it makes it so much more useful during the middle of a fight, although with high defense it's actually the 3rd best DPA attack for several primaries (it's actually better than Havoc Punch, which I see some people being told to use in single-target chains).
I just dont think its a good comparison becasue the Assassin strike only gets the big damage when the stalker is hidden and it can be interupted and the stalker cannot move when they try to use the strike.....but Havoc punch....it cant get interupted...heck you can super jump over an enemy have it qued up....it will go off hit the enemy and you will still land where you where traveling....and it always does its high damage....
So i mean i understand a comparison of speed....but actual usage....i just dont think i would use that sort of comparison...its just not going to work...sorry the havoc punch will outperform that assassin strike...
maybe another example of what i mean is....suppose you do just use one attack on one enemy...no matter what the Havoc punch will always do more damage as it can keep going and going..the assassin strike wont be able to do that becasue most of the time it will get interupted and it wont be doing more then moderate damage becasue the stalker isnt in a hide state...dps goes to nada......
I realize i am beating the havoc punch thing to death....but i am just tryign to say....i just dont think assasin strike should be compared to something that cant be interupted or requires the stalker to stand completly still to use......
Its more akin to a sniper shot then anything else...a very poor working sniper shot....but its still alot closer to that then havoc punch. -

What does mew do?
Well if mew is a leader of a Task Force Team and is competing to try and complete a TAsk Force first before another team.....then mew starts by going along with the team and fighting with them....then if they seam competent she will go off and complete objectives.
If mew is just on a normal team without trying to race....
Mew tends to play a back up for the team.
What that means is that mew has hide.....and has recall friend at low levels....so no matter what the team is or task force....mew can usualy teleport the entire team where ever.
Mew can also teleport downed players out of the trouble areas....and using the day job power she can rez the person....
When playing with the group...mew usualy tries to play team minded....as in she looks for the targets with the most health and hits them down if she can.
If a Defender or Corruptor or Blaster is taking too much aggro...then mew goes to try to help the situation by eliminating the targets while the blaster, defender, corrupter, controller, whatever, does their thing.
This also goes for the Brutes and Tanks and such....sometimes they bite off more then they can chew....so mew goes into the middle of the group and helps thin it a bit.
(Mew is always told to stay back she is squishy blah blah blah, but mew handles her self and then gets complimented when she can stand inthe middle with the big burly tanks and dish out damage too)
Sometimes mew takes alot of aggro....stalkers have a threat rating of 2...super speed reduces threat...thus groups can all have super speed...and if mew doesnt she can start getting alot of aggro.....which happens alot....contrary to what others say. Mew plays alot and plays stalkers alot.
If you had to ask mew what specific role the stalker plays....that would be the Scout or the Puller...unless you have an illusion controller who pulls better.
But what happens in the game usualy...is if mew is pulling someone else usualy spoils the pull on purpose....and usualy there are people who think they can do better and fail miserably everytime. (remember stalkers have placate...if they get more then one they can placate others including archvillains on the statesman task force)
As an advanced scout....you should go ahead and check the area first...other players will do the same sometimes.....its a tough call....but if those other players get noticed....you may or may not go back to help them....mew usualy wont becasue too many times mew ends up taking tons of aggro from stupid players who think that their super speed is enough stealth and forget when they exemplar low enough they dont get the stealth effect from certain other things.
Only thing mew will suggest on play style is to stay with the team if you are battling rikti and knives of artemis since your powers will not work on them very well.
Also clockwork in the sysnapse task force and longbow and nemesis sometimes see you through your hide or ignore your placate attempts.
And Circle of Thorns on some misisons will get increased perception like the Cage Consortium and thus see you though your hide as well.
So i guess its best to make sure to expect to not be always hidden...and even if you are hidden expect that sometimes you will run into somethign that will see you anywise.
Oh yah and a role on keys trial....just try to perform the objectives.....you will die anywise but go figure..there is not much that can be done about that. -
Whatever secondary you take...you probably want to make sure you get mostly defense.
If you choose a secondary that is resistance....the problem is that it means you will get hit alot....and getting hit alot spoils your abilities.....
i.e. You get hit and are no longer hidden thus no extra damage from hidden....you placate and get hit your placate is then wasted...you start up your assasin strike and get hit....not only does your attack then most fo the time get interupted...but you will no longer be hidden thus even if it goes off still you wont get much damage from the attack.
So as you see people mentioned Willpower yes that set works good.
Another set that works fairly well is Energy Aura since it offers a huge range of defenses.
Superior Reflexes is another good one, and of course Ninjutsu and Ice.
The ones i didnt list is not becasue they are bad...its becasue their focus is resistance.....they are the sets that you would use if you didnt hide much or didnt care about having your placate spoiled or you just dont use your assassin strike much.
I would suggest you dont take regeneration...that set is more frustrating in my opinion then anything else.....that is due ot the low stalker health and the fact those powers just dont help you heal very fast all due to their long recharges and low percentages.
