  1. ok after zoning a few times....the items finaly appeared...

    to add to this....while they where not there...the icon tailor wouldnt allow me to selct the items either....

    i had to zone to 3 differing zones before they appeared...

    I figured i would give the game a benefit of doubt and try to find a fix.....

    so either a dveloper read this and fixed it or zoning fixed it....

    If the zoning fixed it though....this means this game has a database issue...
    which might explain why i lose badges and things....on differting characters

    the last time it was the incarnate slot.....which messes upt he game by the way....

    as in it let me do things becasue i had ounlocked the slot.....and collected rewards because of it.....but gavew exp to unlock the slot again.....after i got the reward again the client literaly crashed...as in a map server error....i assume due to trying to put data already in that was alrerady there and include new data....

    not sure what effect day jobs will do....i have one character at least that had the accolade power to rez other players from the proffessor and physician badges.....but the game now says i dont have those badges or accolade...yet i still have the yellow temp power...
    so i am wondering what it will do if i get the day jobs again....and get the power again....

    anywise had to make sure i kept the information up to date....for anyone else with the issues
  2. Bought this pack....for 400 points.....the transaction goes through.....didnt get one thing from it.

    not one emote....no snowball power...not even a costume piece.

    So is htis pack broken or soemthing right now?

    Maybe this has something to do with the game aribitrarily erasing achiementsd and badges....and incarnate slots?
  3. Well...when the Testing servers have these possible options available....I am going to go in and try the stuff out and test it...and i do mean truly test it....i am not going to sit around and whine that i need a level bump or that its not fair i have to make a new character or whatever.

    And i hope everyone on the Stalker forums trys to do the same.

    No it still does damage.
    I would suggest you stay away from regeneration on you stalker...its frustating to use

    i suggest you try something like steet justice and ninjutsu
    also get recall friend at level 4, and consider having hover

    For what its worth....i have a few suggestions...

    I would suggest you dont take the fighting pool things....
    i also suggest at level 4 you take recall friend.
    I think if i where you i would also get hover and flight and eventualy after burner.
    I also suggest that you make sure to log your stalker out in the college and hospital so you can start building charges on a rez power so you can rez fallen team members.(its not worth it to get the power when its free)

    You can take all those suggestion however you like...they are a few things that work for me...they are things that make alot of stalker players mimic my play styles...and actualy make others play stalkers.

  9. The concept was to make it so when the stalker is out of hide they will build focus sort of like street justice...and thus be able to use their powers more effectively and get more damage out of things....

    The assassin strike will act like a normal attack out of hide....effects will still work the same way but with additions.

    Also i hate click powers...changing anything to a click power spoils the game play....sorry i would rather click an attack or be able to use an inspiration then being forced to click something...already have a click hasten, a click heal, and a click protection from holds....like anyone needs to make hide a click power.

    Toggles make the hide superior to all other games in that respect....look at games like jade dynasty...or Aion....you click for 30 seconds of hide....wow...now everyone always knows where you are...as for hiding....you are too busy having to click alot...thus you cant stay hidden for long to do much....and it becomes more of a joke power....
    Dont even get me started with Aion....any game with the whopping 30 second flight time...then you fall like stone....or a game you can jump in place and kill yourelf is broken...and when the only way is to make a ridiculing video to get the designer to fix something....you know there are too many issues.

    Ghost Widow patron power pool has a sniper shot for you.

    Though its not a sniper rifle...does critical out of hide though.
  11. Sorry if this is part of their california convention thing....then no...cant do that...i work too much....

    If this is something on test center or some special online question answer thing....again i work too much...thus my free time is usualy not when they do alot of things....

    I would be more then willing to talk to any developers about the stalker issues...but i dont think my suggestions about an improved hide or an assasin strike that doesnt miss or a higher health cap or special secondary effects(-to hit, -defense, -regen) on all their attacks for example would be considered all that great by everyone.....

    As in i think everyone has their own ideas about what stalkers need or should have and thus....it would be very difficult to say this is what should be done....becasue then any changes might make people upset.

    But its all very moot....because i wont be there.

    I will try if its during sometime i can make.
  12. I dont know about LOL stalkers....i just dont see that...

    I do think they could improve hide a little more....like make it work against knives of artemis and drones for example...to make it more special then the usual concealment. Maybe actualy reduce the threat rating....hmm...maybe make it work like its own text description says its supposed to...meaning the stalker doesnt have it totaly supressed in stealth and is actualy still hard to see.

    I disgree with the person who wanted it to be a click power and combined with build up....sorry this isnt retarded final fantasy or worlds of warcraft or aion that have a horrible system that wont let you even get someplace in a straight line and make it so you have things 30 levels below your character level able to kill you in one or two hits becasue the developers who make those games are retarded....

    I also think if the assassin strike is going to have that long of recharge...require the player to be un-moving....and be interuptable.....then it should at least always hit.....its not like its super ranged like a sniper shot...so the stalker ends up taking more risks then a blaster anywise....right now the strike misses even boxes....which i am sorry....thats just too silly.

    And then there is the health....i dont really mind having low health....but i do mind having a maximum possible health that lower then most everyone else....to a point that the enemies....like say for example Primal Earth Sutter fromthe Sutter Task force at 2 levels higher then you...ends up killing you in one shot becasue his attack does a damage over time effect that kicks in instantly and kills you.
  13. If you slot a Knock back protection IO in anything....just remember thats a slot taken by that IO.

    Karma offers a -Knockback IO..for defense...Steadfast offers it for resistance.

    Since you are choosing that specifc defense set.....i recomend that you try to keep the two base defense armors free for slotting in a luck of the gamblers defense set, no its not common....but its a very good investment that can be worked on over time as you level...and thus can put common Invention Originas in as you fill it.
    Your hide might be a good place to put a knock back protection IO...if you are serious about using combat jump then there is another place....When i try to use only ninja run....i tend to only take travel powers like fly or hover or teleport which can be used while ninja run is going.

    Another Investment is realize that your powers may seam endurence heavy....and so another good investment is to at least slot your stamina power with 1 more slot....and place a performance shifter chance to recover energy enahcnement into it...again not common...and no not required...but does help you.(btw Ninja run consumes alot of energy and effects energy recovery....more then it says it does....more then those accuracy epic powers even....so if you are having energy issues...try turning off ninja run)

    Now you where asking about the figthing pool....if you thnk the value of some powers that grant you 11.25% resistance to smash lethal and a 5% or so extra defense is worthwhile....then go for it.(as others have pointed out you might be a bit toggle heavy and find energy to bit tight at first)

    As other have said recall friend isnt required...no power is ever required....the only requirement is to have a character that can be played.....
    If you intend to play Task Forces later and exemplar...then it might be wise to slot accordingly and gradualy build....

    The only way you should ever build...is based on how you intend to play and what you expect to do.

    So for example:
    If you plan to be playing like a support stalker as i call it...then yes recall friend is a requirement at level 4 and so is getting the day jobs physician and proffessor so you can get the revive ally power.

    if you plan to play as an attack stalker then you best choices are to grab as much offensive and attack powers as possible...and work on recharge becasue you will be using placate and the ninja area of effect placate alot at times.(this one tends to make sure they change to villain so they can get the patron pools and grab the sniper so they can do long distance assassinations)

    If you plan to play a tank stalker....then you want to make sure you have lots of defensive abilities but also want to grab the heal pool for self healing in addition to what you have. (I hate personaly playing this way and filling in as a tank)

    if you want to play an advanced scout stalker...then your priority will become movement....thus you might take powers like flight and teleport to be able to get through spots no one else can undetected.(enemies blocking a door for example)also you would have recall friend and might even have the long range teleport(even though it doesnt go to all places)

    Those are just some examples of play style that i have personaly labeled....is that what the play style is called? I dont know.....its what i see people do....and i play a combination of all of that.

    As a few people have pointed out many times....thats what the multiple builds are for.
  14. The Open mission in Preatoria called the Great Escape.

    Has a new added issue to it....

    I tried this 4 times to make sure...

    I started the get the key card and defeat the PPD side of the mission...as i wanted to get the emote reward from that side of the mission.

    After dealing with the required 30 PPD outside....i found upon entering i was inside a NO POWER field.

    Exactly like the ones in the mission architect room(should have made it the entire building not just one room) and the auction house in Preatoria(should have put this effect in the other auction houses and maybe around the black markets too)

    In side the objective is to disable a terminal(click the glowie)
    and defeat 8 guards.(its the wack-the-mole game coh style)

    Unfortunatley all powers being un-usable made this impossible.

    Actualy i found my macro buttons worked...though they couldnt activate powers....i also found the rocket board worked.....and i found buffs such as using defense inspirations outside and then coming in...worked....since i was not allowed to use them inside the building.....this allowed me to check to see if deactivating the computer made it possible to attack and use powers....and it didnt.

    So that side of the great escape open misison is not able to be completed right now.

    This is a change that happened since issue 21.....i thought i might post it here...

    Just incase other players are encountering the same suppression fields else where in the game....in places it shouldnt be.
  15. I like your build...=^_^=

    In many ways its very similar to the stalker i have...and i even used many of the same IOs.

    A few differences from my character to yours is that i went a slightly differing route at the end...as in i made sure to get a few epic powers to help with the energy recover issues i had.
    And thus have slotted two of the chance for endurence recovery IOs....and like you at the lowest level.
    And i didnt slot the disorient ones you are using....but definately the same knockdown ones....=^_^=
    Oh and i also slotted my health a bit more....as i use a level 50 healing IO and 3 of the special Healing IOs(one at 10 one at 20 and the last at 30) that gives you a percentage increase to your healing rate and recovery...so thats different as well.


    By the way i didnt see any mention of incarnate powers.....so i will assume you havent really gotten into them for this character yet....On mine i chose the Accuracy one for the alpha...because it not only gives extra defense at tier 4 but the accuracy seams to help with the IOs that have chances to go off...as in I noticed they actualy work alot more since i started using that Alpha Accuracy slot type....and also i hated how i seamed to miss alot...though i could be totaly off...and maybe its all becasue i just hit more.

    Task Forces

    Well....if you want to specialize with task forces...you need to make sure you actualy do the task forces first...and have access to the information about them so that you can guide and help the other team memebers as you need to...this includes if you are not the leader.

    Becasue people can speculate all day with a specific archtype...but people who have done alot of task forces and do them alot....already know there is no specific magic archtype thats the best...anyone trying to tell you there is...doesnt do task forces much.

    Like for example the idea of the defender or controller.....yep works well until you do a Keys trial or maybe the giant spider oroboros task force....or maybe the fall of the 5th column task force..those fromt he ambushes and damage that constaly hits you can make you feel like you just are not doing much.

    The point i am trying to say is....the best character for any task force is one that has the needed skills and powers to survive and support their team....and i dont mean by standing back and healing.

    The best team support is being able to teleport them...to get to places very quickly...and to be able to rez or to give someone an awaken if they need it.

    The best way to survive and be a task force player is being able to survive when you need to and give knowledge and guidance when needed...and also be able to sit back and have others do those exact same things.(ie be prepared...use your inspirations you get more...and be willing to give them out to the rest of the team)

    Anywise thats what you need

    I can tell you the ghost widow patron set powers all critical.....also the laser beam eyes critical from the one set....

    I have to admit though...i dont always take alot of the patron or epic powers as much as some people do....so for example i take the extra stamina recovery power and maybe the accuracy booster....but i tend to mostly not bother with much else.

    And with the ghost widow patron powers....and i can definately say the sniper in that set criticals...since i use it alot....and the hold criticals too....though it does the criticals weirdly every so often....as in sometimes its actual hold value criticals so it will hold things really well....or it will hold things in one attempt....and other times the damage it does over time criticals....and what i mean by that is....you see the numbers going off over time...when suddenly one number is like double damage....

    I played with alot of stalkers....and mostly i think they tend to choose like i do....and not take too many of the epic/patron attack powers.

    I think the develoeprs need to actualy fix the current powers the stalker has to actualy work the way the descriptions tell you they are supposed to.

    I mean how hard is it to not notice the null value on the hide power....been 5 years...still there.

    1. You get hide right out of the box...

    2. Your power sets are different due to having an assassin strike and placate and hide power in the mix.

    Ok seriously....the reason...i play a stalker...is because Stalkers dont fit into the archtype categories....they are a class unto themselves...they can play how they choose to....the ability to hide gives them a freedom to choose how they want to handle the situation.....and their powers placate and assassin strike are different enough to allow them to alter any encounter outcome to a more favorable position.
  20. The new trial Dr. Kanes Mansion has alot of neat hidden things in it

    Surprisingly there is a post from SNow Globe or someone else telling about how to get alot of the stuff in side.
    So i am making this.

    I have done this trial in the past week over 100 times....succeeded mostly in getting all three badges...failed rarely....mostly due to players not using their powers or inspirations.

    [bold]Secret Boss Steps[/bold]

    You start at the bottom of the stairs to Kanes Mansion.
    You will notice you have accessed the area from a hole.

    At this point if anyone enters the mansion you will not be able to summon the secret boss.

    To start the secret boss process...you most go up the stairs about midway and then go to the left.

    You will see witches digging and one named Devil Girl.

    Speak to Devil Girl and you start a Pact.

    The message will display on the screen for all players if you have done it correctly and no one has enetered the mansion.

    You next step is to go to the two small gazeebos(small roofed structures) onthe left and right of the mansion.

    On one side is a boared girl and the other features a bored boy.

    Click on each one...this starts the dialogue to tell them to eat the candy from the cauldron in front of them.
    They will do so then collapse after getting sick.

    After this last process a message will display saying Coach Whip(thats the secret boss) has appeared.

    Now if anyone enters the mansion during any of this....the process will no longer be possible...and coach whip wont appear.

    The Secret Boss Coach whip appears at the place where you made the dark pact with Devil Girl.

    The Boss shows up as a Boss.....now Think Tank a developer who worked on this project had said in an interview this boss was an elite boss.
    Nope...never appeared as such...in fact i had secretly hoped coach whip would appear after each big zombie battle more powerful each time...but that didnt happen either.

    (by the way...not sure what Coach WHip referebces...but their was a Coach Whip inthe Warriors Orochi and Warriors Orochi 2 games)

    [bold]Now a list for the completists[/bold]

    There is a dialogue you can get from Devil Girl, and from the two bored people outside the mansion and the man in front of the manison.

    In side the girl who is impatient...who looks like Azuria....also has some dialogue.
    Speaking to her makes some guards run from the mansion to the front door to escape.

    At the end after beating the Final Abomination Boss....Dr. Kane has some dialogue you can speak to him about.

    Going back through the house after the end...you will see all the dialogue people gone....wolves are still there though...not sure what purpose they served.....and the ones who where in line to get in....appear to all be dead.

    Nothing else to find...at least nothing i could find.



    [bold]There are three badges you can get.[/bold]

    1. For defeating the Anomination at the End while wearing a costume.

    You dont need to hit the klilling blow, you just need to be in a costume as it dies and be in the area. Being dead of course you cant wear a costume so you lose out if you are dead when it dies.
    By the way Stalkers can use hide while wearing a costume....people who say otherwise...dont play stalkers...so dont think being a stalker penalyzes you with costumes.

    2. The Its Alive Badge
    You get this by deafeating 99 undead and the Abomination end boss inthe time limit


    3. On the last one for Just beating it...

    Easiest to get...well might not be easy....had a friend who's team decided to just quit the team leaving him there alone....oh well.

    That i dont know....i scoured that mansion with some other players....

    Only strange things i found where:
    I noticed a bookshelf that was different color in the library room...
    Wolves...not sure what the point for them was
    A T-shaped area with paintings...one friend reported they thought they saw a hand usage symbol for a second but couldnt find it again.
    Its a big mansion...usualy these have some secret doors you would think....but not one was found...
    Found it odd that the reveal map power didnt reveal the map.

    Anywise...hope this helps someone.

    where did you think you couldnt?

    Stalker has no issues with wearing a costume and using hide.

    Now steath and concealment pool dont mix with it....but what stalker needs that?

    Not sure about soldiers and widows....dont know what stealth they use....probably works as well as hide and probably better...

    Ninjas use staves....Ninjas use all weapons that exist.

    In fact is there shaw brother films where ninjas dont use Staves?
    Is their an American Ninja Flick that they dont use Staves?

    And in history Ninjas used a staff weapon alot....Mancatchers where very important for dismounting riding opponents....and to strangle the opponent not easily able to be strangled at close quarters

    In addition how do you think they got to specifc high places....they used staves to vault to areas or to trip opponents.

    Some ninjas in history also used the 3 sectioned staff which could be used as a staff or as a mace or whip like weapon.

    If you are refering to the way the titan weapon mechanics work and that it doesnt work well with the stalker assassination strike....well go figure...neither does street justice...nor does dual blades...but they put them on stalkers anywise...
    All the titan weapon set does is just another form of build up...so go figure....they are doing it with street justice and dual blades.

    As for the prediction in general...well go figure....stalkers cant get everything...will i be upset stalkers dont get titan weapons....maybe a little bit...but go figure they dont get shields either.....
    And if the developers allow people to wield giant weapons with a shield....thats alot worse then ninjas or assassins using a big weapon.

    Also for a real world example of an Assassin using a huge weapon...Hanzo used to actualy like to slice his victims in half...with a huge waited weapon as it made sure that they where dead....of course that was centuries ago....so go figure.

    I want to be sure i am following this conversation right.....

    you are talking about the level 44 patron power Shadow Meld from Ghost widow..the power with the 3 second anchor to start it....the 15 second animation duration(little black clouds around you) with 8 seconds of actual defense(which starts as you start the power)...the same power that you cant change its recharge using any hasten or global recharges...which normaly has a standard recharge of 3 minutes...and costs like 25 energy to activate it.....you mean that Shadow Meld?

    wow i thought the message on the description for the boosters along with the box telling you this as you did it was kind of a dead give away about what would happen....

    guess reading wanrings the game pops up and tells you you is a good thing.
