Whenever I bring up merits and buying LotG anywhere people always tell me to just go for the rare recipe roll (only 20 merits, yup, 1 zero), so I ran an ITF with my 50 a few days ago, had a little over 20merits on him and went "meh, im impatient, rather than grinding out itf's I'll take the roll", first recipe, LotG +recharge . (2nd was a Mako's Bite: Chance for Lethal). Supposedly the majority of rare rolls you take at 50 will be good moneymakers on WW if you don't want them, then you'll get up inf for buying the specifics you want off the market.

I've just recently started paying attention to the merit reward vendors, after randomly digging through it while broke and find a performance shifter:chance for +end in it instead of the mils on WW. So the only thing I can confirm from my experience is the awesome drops of a rare roll as compared to saving up and choosing.

if the architect of your group has their own rank then you can just have the SL/Leader with permissions set all the storage units to allow give/take permission for the architect's rank.

yeah if my dumb family didn't decide to go to goldenpear for some expensive coffee and lines of rich snobby people I coulda made it. She likes messing up people's plans.

I can't really guarantee I'll be awake on time, so don't hold a spot for me if Im not there. I'd love to get the Synapse done too, but my family isn't awake yet idk what we're doing today.

Whenever I get curious I just set the WW search options to show "all" (not for sale/bidding only), and type 'chance', and there they all are.

I would assume if you went rifling through .pigg's you might be able to change what certain sound emotes sound like for you, but not for anyone else nearby, they'd hear what the standard is.

I know this works with music and certain sound effects (the vahz flies and vomit always come up in these threads as being the first to be rejected), but the sounds that a particular emote plays, i'm not sure.

I try to keep track of Coalition leaders through globalfriends so I can keep track of how they are doing, or for one or two of them throw a toon in to monitor from the inside >.> . Unfortunately I seem to forget who runs what and have to blindly cleanout the list once in awhile for new ones anyway , unpaid rent is a great 'tell' though for how the SG/VG is holding up, if it's seemingly red every time you go to enter your base for a little while I would consider breaking it if I need the space.

I'll state the blindingly obvious, that upsetting the players was not their intent and was an unintended side effect. They came up with a fix that they thought would contribute to the success of the game. In my opinion, they were EPICALLY wrong, but I don't for an instant think they wanted to upset their playerbase.

Yes, it was the moneygrubbing side of the devs brought to the surface for, IMO, the first time, and we remembered that they aren't our friends, they are our superiors and they had to make a change to keep new players 'from getting bored and leaving', to keep the new-issue-player-boost running for as long as possible.

Yes Forbin, but it wasn't just the whiners about an exploit being removed that left. The Lead Designer's "whoops, we didn't do enough testing before we rushed this live and missed something huge but now it's fixed. Stop looking for bugs and play MY game the way I envisioned it with rainbows and unicorns or leave and you can go to hell for all I care" speech offended many more people (including some I heard of who didn't even use the 'exploit') and they left out of principle of a lead designer not giving a crap about his subscribers for anything more than their monthly fee.

I was staring at the forum mod position everyday for awhile, but it vanished before I was out of school. I thought it'd be a nice starting spot for getting noticed for the higher jobs.

I was fortunate enough to have my highschool purchase and start classes around XSI, so that was amazing. I don't think many people trying to get started can say they have experience with that program .

I was going to write a very long goodbye, and I usually don't quote(steal) others heartfelt posts, but I could not have said any of this better myself.

Lighthouse hearing from you on the boards, being able to PM you and get responses with actual answers to questions has been a high-note of my time with CoH. I've always felt as if you were a gateway to the Game Designing gods(Devs, lol), making us players feel like our opinion really did matter. You have been a great asset to this game as a whole, and although it sounds like Ex Libris has stepped into your position and I know all of our named Devs are professionals and know what they're doing I doubt anyone will be able to manage that job and still be a nice person as well as you have.

You really will be missed, and Happy Birthday in a few days

Wow Sinner, I don't tend to talk about my problems in-game, but my dad died from Brain Cancer when I was only 11. I know how terrible it is. But since then I've met a man who has taught me a lot about special healing methods, being I'm also Diabetic. I'll use my arsenal of healing to help you the best I can . I've found though, that I do better with a name attached to the person I'm healing more directly than a playername. You or your daughter's first name would greatly help me out if you're comfortable with giving it in a PM or something.

But rest assured, I (the RL) Psychic Guardian have your back regardless, as well as all of the other Guardianite's. I'll be looking forward to any updates, especially those of recovery for your daughter.

Essence those are good, I specifically like 1 and 2 as being the most reasonable to get into the game. Production wise it wouldn't be that hard to let base designers drop a set of doors into a room that, when clicked, would take you to another floor. Windows shouldn't be that bad, maybe design skins or something, so that you'd pick like 'Steel Cityscape' and click the wall and all windows on the wall would show that, keeping weird things like a cityscape and outerspace scene from being put on the same wall. Same for underwater, cuz it'd be hilarious having water outside a porthole and grass in a window right next to it, lol.

MadScientist, as usual, you have come up with a great idea. That would easily become my new favorite Reward.

I have had tons of fun with idiots in this game in the 10 or so months I've been playing, the funniest probably being the time I was in a frostfire mission and the leader sucked so much we just sat back and watched, sending each other 7-way tells about his skills until I finally decided to make a private channel[much easier]. We hadn't touched the FF room and he goes "I'm gonna go get Frostfire". So he goes and kills himself, followed by "tp plz", so I tp'd him, then "rez plz" and the mockery channel goes no don't (because I was on an emp), but I was like "no it'll be funny", sure enough "you guys stay here while I go get frostfire".

Like a dozen times. It was hilarious.

Yesterday there was someone in steel for 1 1/2 hours asking for a rich toon to get him wings in broadcast, that was pretty funny too, because everyone knew he'd been standing there doing nothing but asking for wings all that time.

I like the new Hollows,
The Trainer and makeshift hospital area was much needed, and my alt+itis tends to throw me into the hollows all the time, so I have had much experience with it already. I don't have a problem with any of the new enemy types either, although it will take awhile to find a new favorite mob for the kill "X" number of "Y" missions.

Although I absolutely cannot stand the timed mission from meg mason, I have failed it several times solo'ing.
