So craft-able HOs but on IO scales? Very yes.

Until CoH becomes a "right" I'll never buy this argument. That said, I'd support the option. It'd be nice to not have the sparkelies early on for anyone.

But if you drop the slider to 30 it still shows up as 50?

    Do Fire/Sonic. It's sweet.

I just now made a pistol character because they hype is dying down. I won't make shields because everyone makes shields.

Also I liked Spoon and Modest Mouse before they got all popular.

And I don't watch TV because I don't have to be like everyone else.

I vote for third party candidates.

Yeah I came to terms with being an indie 20-something awhile ago.

Wait a sec. Between the level slider and brackets for recipe rolls what is it you can't get? I'm missing something :/
  14. Thought: Make merits an account based thing. I hate that if I'm going for a certain reward, I'm limited to one character, instead of the one that best suits my team.

Yeah but it's bugged me since i9 that people can get better returns on merits from skipping and intentionally failing large portions of TFs. It rewards people with TP and invisibility disproportionately to those actually built to fight MObs.

I remember, at CoV launch, that Arachnos billboard there. I had a bunch of my VG stand in front of it for screenshots. The burger billboard came shortly before we got real ingame ads. I believe this burger was kind of a transitional ad so that when we got real product ads, players wouldn't be like "WTH?"
Yeah but we still haven't gotten them, have we? I don't think PepsiCo know there are MMOs that aren't made by blizzard

I sort of see your point though. Say we add in HOs, you could do 3 Nucleous, 2 recharge, one end, to get 94.93% damage/accuracy, 42.4% end, 83.32% recharge, a total of 315.58%

Try to use just dual IOs with say 2x D/R, 2x D/E, 2x D/A, you'd get 103.85% damage, and 53% to accuracy/recharge and endurance for 262.85 total, or 52.73% less "enhancing."

The problem in this scenario is that you're wasting so much damage slotting because of ED. The sets are designed this way, somewhat annoyingly, so that with most full l50 damage sets you're wasting a lot of potential enhancement to ED.

I think to see the best possible enhancements you need to either go for things with all HO slottable bonuses (like doing 3 nucleous/3membrane in followup) or adding in the 3/4 type IOs.
    • With 2 A/D/R, 1 A/D/E/R, 1 D/E/R, 1 A/D/E and 1 D/E you can get 99.84% damage, 85.71% endurance and 80.94% accuracy/recharge for 347% enhancement.

    • With 3nuc/3mem you get 94.93% to accuracy/damage/recharge and 56% to tohit. Pretend it's all schedule A for comparison, and it's 379.72%. Of course very few powers can take advantage of this.
I think the biggest problem with this type of comparison is that certain aspects of a power will see diminishing returns in actual usefulness. If you've maxed out the usefulness of one aspect, it's more worthwhile to irk a little more out of another stat.

P.S. do you mind if I take that quote completely out of context and use it for my signature, because of its immense hilarity?

I'm in the same boat. The game is balanced for SOs and there isn't really enough end-game content for me to care about working the system for IOs. I'd rather just go play an alt
  24. IMO, Merits aren't worth enough and MA tickets are worth too much. The system is set up to reward farming MA missions over doing TFs; I'd like to see the value of merits go up and that of tickets go down.

Past that, it might be nice to change the diminishing rewards system on merits to a completion-based outcome. Stealth the whole TF and basically just kill the bosses and AVs? Fewer merits but it's faster. Take the time to kill things? More merits but it takes longer. Average it out so you actually get a certain number of merits per time based on an average team.
  25. Dangit now I'm having an existential crisis. Do I exist? How do I know I exist? What's real? Am I Real? What am I? Who am I? What is I? What is Who? THANKS A LOT OP.
