Thanks again for doing these. For "quick sketches," they're astonishing.

    [/ QUOTE ]

My pleasure, it's great practice. I had more time to spend on them this weekend so they're more detailed.

Sweet, I actually fell over from the foot stomp...

    New Commissions

Great posture and I like the longing look she has.

Here's the first of three, two of which when finished won't be linked here...

    [/ QUOTE ]

Why wouldn't you link the others? ...Oh I see..
  4. Thanks, it's a great character. I had never read your background until now, terrific story.

I've warmed up a bit on the sketching so I have had time to detail more. But yours and Herricanes are the only ones that exceeded an hour so far. I tend to spend way too much time dilly-dallying (sp?) over a picture and showing these so unfinished doesn't feel comfortable. However there's often a raw dynamic in a sketch that is lost when you work on the details.

I've really enjoyed working on these and I've seen many more fun characters in the galleries I'll probably try and render too.

    Happy Juggy Day!

Cake or no cake, I believe in Juggy Day, too! Happy? Birthday!

Awesome! what is SZJ laying his hand on?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Thanks, it's supposed to be a Rikti drone, but I was too lazy to find a reference. I was always curious how they could be poisioned so effectively.
  7. [ QUOTE ]
WOW!! Thank you, that is amazing!!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Thanks, glad you liked it. It's always tricky with sketches since most of the picture is still in your head

Thanks everyone, this filled up fast. Only 2 spots left (the ones when I'll be so busy and tired of this, so all you get is stick figures )
  8. Invincibelle vs Massacre Melanie. But not for the same dirty reason as Ironik, no sir. Not at all.
  9. I planned on doing a sketch thread and do at least one each day. In spirit with the season I might make it in the form of an advent calendar of sorts.

I'm already 5 days late so please post some heroes or villains for me to start with. Any special requests can be supplied here or PMed to me, but I cannot guarantee I'll fullfill them since these are going to be pretty rough drawings mostly.

    *EDIT*

As I said these are going to be pretty rough sketches but I might revisit them once I've caught up a bit.

    1 - Volt Sentinel
    2 - Lydia
    3 - Flame Enchantress
    4 - Aquarian Draconum
    5 - Spearhead Lambda
    6 - Crestent
    7 - Sweet Zombie Jesus
    8 - Bitter December
    9 - Wherrlwind
    10 - Chase Savage
    11 - Frosty Femme
    12 - The Masked Shrike
    13 - Gata Amarilla
    14 - Finest Hour
    15 - See and Believe
    16 - Sunwind
    17 - Cerulean Archer
    18 - Aggelakis
    19 - Sparkerella
    20 - Major Tom
    21 - Ms Frost
    22 - Weatherby
    23 - Snow Globe
    24 - Mr Wentworth

An advent calendar is picture with small windows you can open to revael another underneath. Kids use them here in Scandinavia at least to count down the days in December until Christmas Eve. If I'd done this proper I would had made a big CoH picture with numbered sections which then hyperlinked to these sketches as i made them. Now you'll have to do with a budget variant in text form

    * EDIT *

Thanks everyone for the interest in this, for those posting after #24; I'm sorry I can't commit to extend this further, but I might put you in as cameos in the others.

    * EDIT *
Thanks to the heads-up from Bubba I've pre-linked all the pictures. Sort of makes it even more like an advent calendar, except you can't peek...

    Junkyard King

Thanks everyone. I'm going away on a business trip the whole week but next weekend I'll start a sketch thread where people can make requests, CoX related, that is.

    Junkyard King

Been swamped by work lately and hardly had any time to draw. Finally made good on my promise way back in the Satisfaction thread, though. Here's my version of the King himself.

I'd love to take a stab at Junkyard King. ddgryphon, if you please could forward the contact info on my dA page to the owner it'd be great.

If I didn't confuse myself by doing more than one thing at a time, I've sent it on.

Thanks, it worked. Contact is made.
  13. I believe that using a little artistic license there are so many parameters you have to work with that can turn a 'horrible' or bland costume into a nice picture after all.

    1. Pose. Show it off from it's 'good' side. Maybe hiding something especially nasty behind the body or surroundings.
    2. Color shift. Sometimes colors only need to be tweaked slightly to fit better together. For example you can unify them by making them all earthy.
    3. Proportions. Downplay or exaggarate for effect.
    4. Detailing. Add small details or textures that make the costume more interesting.
    5. Lighting. You can always make the picture very, very dark

Hmm, maybe this would make a great challenge thread. Post your ugliest costume and dare the artists to make it worthy for publishing.

Nice piece. You really ought to add "NSFW" in the title, though.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Sorry about that, it actually never entered my mind that it might be inappropriate. I blame me being Swedish and everything..

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback.

And considering your dirty minds I'm surprised no one asked what Feral is standing on with her right leg.

There is a distinct possibility of that D':

Yes, that fishnet took a considerable time to do. I'm looking forward to seeing your stuff, Missy_May_I.
  17. Hello all, been away awhile but now I'm back after trying the beautiful trainwreck that is AoC. I'm a sucker for eye candy so I lasted longer than most it seems

I managed to finish a piece specially dedicated to Juggertha as thanks for his neverending commitment to the dA and CoH communities. Saw the Satisfaction thread so from what I understand he's still at it
  18. Congratulations Aerones, well deserved. I wont demand a recount.

    /applause
  19. A bit late but happy wishes nevertheless!
  20. Hope I made it in time, it's still the 4th in Sweden and we're before USA

    Persuasion

Not a an entire comic but I'll hope you enjoy anyway
  21. Dang, you had to go and make a whole comic!? What's it gonna look like when a show up with a single frame?

I love how my character turned out, both powers and look are spot on. The frame where I point is so going to be my new avatar.

I hope I'll be done by tomorrow, but FROOOOOM is even more powerful than FREEEM and I got no sound effects at all so I wouldn't give much for my chances
  22. Happy birthday, scarfie!

I always liked the backstory of Dragonberry so here's a WIP (SFW) of her since I didn't bring any cake.

*edit* thanks, Soultrain. (I hate autocorrecting features like that, hope I can turn it off)

I must say I'm really outdoing myself on this one.

    [/ QUOTE ]

So, what's the point spread on this event? I don't mind giving Aerones a handicap since the poor fella obviously gone delusional about his chances

    </trashtalk>

Seems I wasn't as done as I thought, better put more hours into this if I want to compete. Maybe if I add a cameo appearance of every regular in the Arts forum...hmm...
  24. While I'll most likely opt out from seeing the ads, I *will* proceed to shower NCSoft with money for slots and character transfers with this setup. You'll be able to afford that swimming pool now!
