  1. Here I'm away for a while trying out that other game and you guys turn this into 'real' art forum. I like it.

When it comes to critique I can really never get enough of it. Maybe if I were at a professional level and worked for cash I would feel differently, but I doubt it. The people I've seen giving it here, like Suichiro, CristopherRobin, Battlewraith etc, have all done it with great care and the best intentions as far as I can tell. The 'credentials' of the person is not that important, I try and weigh the advice on its on merit first. While someone with training hopefully can give more advanced pointers, a simple 'that does not look right to me' can do wonders for me.

Now, giving out critique is where I fail myself. I rarely point stuff out I don't like, making me a bit of a hypocrite. Often when I type out a critique, I start to second guess myself and end up deleting it.

Anyways, if anyone of you feel like unloading a diatribe on my stuff, it's always available at dA. I promise you won't get anything but thanks.
  2. I vote Shia, brilliantly funny as usual. Love the inclusion of the poster also.
  3. Oh crap, sorry guys, totally forgot about this. Between working on contest prizes and being in the CO Beta with all the drama on their forums my attention span was not enough apparently. I have a WIP for the piece, I'll clean it up and post it here later.

Oh well, off to vote at least. And pay my dA sub, before everything falls apart. I blame Cryptic
  4. Stunning. *off to +watch*
  5. Actually the answer would have been B. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myth_of_the_Flat_Earth.

While your reasoning might be sound in some cases of customer support I don't think applies to the veteran rewards which I believe works as intended for the majority of the subscribers both new and old. I know for a fact I let my payment lapse when trying other games before the VR program and hasn't for even a month afterwards.
  6. Grats to Lousy_Day. *sob* my immunity gone, I feel naked.

And obviously Juggy is evil IRL, I heard he doesn't recycle.
  7. Hi, I'm Projectionist, currently known as Projectionist_NA since I seem to be in conflict with myself. I'm here for the the PLing and the epix... ah, who am I kidding? I'm a wannabe Foo that likes to draw peoples characters in compromising positions.

Link to my deviantArt in the sig. All critique is welcome.
  8. My vote goes to Tacky_Tricky, that's one bad wolf, cooler than the Fonz. The tension of the change really comes through.

Thanks to Bayani for being a sport about me using his character without permission. Heh, figures I would mess something up with this entry also.

Thanks to ChristopherRobin for the detailed critique. The hands I was dissatisfied with too and would probably correct if I continue work on it digitally but LJ's uniboob I didn't notice. Now it bugs me and I usually pay attention to that area
  9. Haha, that's one dude you don't dare say what you're thinking to. Nice work Bobby.
  10. Happy birthday, DarkEther. Here' something other than personal groming: The Bruce Lee taunt

    Hey, glad you liked it.

My favorite demos so far are Noxizmad's 'Final Illustration' and Chan's 'Dream Devourer', both are amazingly fun to watch. I just bought Brachna's 'Environment Design' so I hopefully get some inspiration to making backgrounds also in my pictures
  12. I still see the cake so I'm not too late, congratulations! Cake misuse, Shrike style.
  13. Hehe, love to see were this is going. I blame the sucky FOV in that head piece
  14. Cool piece Spino.

That's awesome. I want to try sculpting now!

Me too, so I offered sculpting prizes in my contest recently but everyone chose digital paintings instead
  15. Congratulations on sweet 50.

    Advent aftermath

Another advent sketch made into a more finished piece: The Masked Shrike
  17. Since I'm sitting safe this month I thought I'd do some non-digital work: Hay Fever

Sweet piece, Lousy_Day. I love the cool light/warm shadows.

    Ninjabot - WIP

Love what you have going here, Bobby. Watch out for his right elbow, perspective seem a bit weird there.
  19. Thanks everyone, I'm so relieved I didn't have to go into Sudden Death with Juggy, that would've been brutal.
  20. Dang, you are all doing excellent promotional work for Paragon Studios I'll probably redo the origin stories for half my characters just to fit in ideas from here.
  21. I'm sorry, I never intended to instigate drama by ignoring the rules and as I said before I have no problem with being disqualified. For what's it worth I agree that rules should be followed and that the use of screen shots tend to 'cheapen' the image, which is why all those images ends up in my 'scraps' section on dA.

I'll volunteer to do it next year, but my rules will most likely involve all entries REQUIRED to include at least 2 scantily clad hot chicks.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I have absolutely no problem with this either
  22. Tartyrsauce It reminds me of old Swedish 'pilsnerfilm' (beer-movie). It's hilarious and different.
  23. Here is my entry: The City

I realize I probably broke the rules in the second post, but the casting was half the fun of making this picture. I was also looking forward to seeing who others imagined in various roles, but alas. Anyway, if I'm disqualified so be it, no hard feelings.
  24. Here are the arcs I had as my favorites and could just as well have been in the top ten:

    <font class="small">Code:[/color]<hr /><pre>
Acyl 74191 The Great Brain Robbery Very fun arc with good plot twists and freaky custom mobs.
Hellguard 110993 Looking Back: A Fifth Anniversary Celebration Terrific META-arc about the forums.
Acid Zero 1004 Welcome to Architect Entertainment Absolute perfect intro to the AE system.
Morgenstern CoH 1166 Taking Flight Another example of how an origin story can be made interesting.
frija 5213 Might Makes Right: The One With Tin Hats Fun with good storytelling and action sequences in the debriefings!
Strike Eagle 55669 One Hell of a Deal Very good lowlevel arc with the best hothead ally.
Clave Dark 5 101165 TOO MANY BUNNYGIRLS! Good writing and fast paced fun.
Lazarus 1567 MacGuffin Delivery Service Very well told...what's this in my pocket?
Mekkanos 4431 Soldiers of Fortune Fun plot with exciting battles.
GadgetDon 159107 Who is Leonard Grubbenberry? I'm so glad I found out!
ARH 98943 Invasion on Earth BX1132! Zany arc with the best alien group.
ObsidianDevil 120462 Entrusted with the Other Secret Really terrific time travel arc.
atiaxi 1140 Catastrophic Betrayal Very well told villainous story with a good hook.
GrinningSpade 1934 Love Spurned Excellent funny clues and gag texts and hilarious villains.
Slickriptide 132673 The Galaxy Girl Maneuver Great timetravel story, fit well into the Ourboros setting.
Bella Blizzard 84483 Death and Taxes Good mix of humour and drama.
Scuzzbopper 111022 Doctor Geist and the Scientific Method Great arc, I can't but approve of Dr Geist's methods.
Ridiculous Girl 119228 HERO Therapy Well written with a great premise.
whatroughbeast 1173 Pro Patria Mori Terrific dark arc with optional endings.
dugfromthearth 92630 I Will Dance on Your Grave Good solid arc, terrific flavored dialogue.
SkitchNM 171570 The Magic of Longbow Great hook and nice custom enemies.
    </pre><hr />

There are a ton of other arcs that had memorable and well designed custom enemies and allies, like the Green Army Men in The Toy Box, the Matchstick Women in the arc with the same name, the SCUBA minions of Operation Undertow and the robot army in A Madman's Vengeance.

Again, thanks everyone for participating and remember: even though I didn't rate an arc 5 stars I stilled enjoyed playing each and every one. As I said I will be PMing feedback during the coming week.
