Thank you soo much

Can you tell me your toon name and AT build plz and your friends? Team leaders and myself won't recognize global chat names in the hive. :P:P
-
Quote:Thank you soo much for sharing that, but it's not just me, it took everyone, and people like you who makes this possible. I had to giggle at the picture of you in Oro, hehe. I'd really like to thank many nameless VETS and New Players who's there taking countless directions to make this a fun raid. EG: Dr. Hollywood and our favorite flying hami taunting tank. Dr. Hollywood and Bacon on our team is soo essential. They both helped so much, Dr. Hollywood would tp asap when Hami taunting tank starts to take damage and both Bacon and Dr. buffs and sends us back right in. We couldn't have done a successful raid without people like that. I'm sure as we continue we'll get familiar enough to make raiding shorter.Wow Just wow. At 9:20 (central) there were 19 in the hive, I believe only four of us had ever been on a raid, and quite a few I talked haven't done it since I9 came out.
I had quit 2 teams after explaining that we need specialized teams to make this happen.
"ie. was jumping back and fourth copy/pasting sections from a hami guide by OSHA and Destiny the most straight forward short to the point guide I could find"
I was thinking I might get a few EoE's out of this, It will be entertaining.
There is no way someone could rally this rag tag group into a Hami samich making mob.
Enter Tammy and a few other Hami vets "NUFF SAID"
"took a screenie for the vet names but the shot came out nameless sorry"
I still find it hard to believe, What started out as a random mob of heroes turned into a successful raid.
Gratz to all on this one. You make me Proud to be a part of Freedom.
Geezs - what range!!
Is that Hami splash in Ouroboros
Lol, it hung around in Ouroboros for quite a few, zapping toons as they entered ahhh good times
Anyway Thanks Tammy and Co-leaders. Fantastic job.
If anyone here would share their part to acknowledging people, would be nice.
I'd love to see more cohesion after yellow mitos die, I don't say anything cuz I'm waiting for a leader to emerge from this. Drogoh mentioned and asked "is there a targeter." and at one point I thought he stepped up to being the damage targeter. I'd like to see whether blue team leaders and teams taking down blues first or Green team leaders and teams holding greens take down Greens first or not, I'd really prefer more of a cohesion working together to bring mitos down faster. Normally once yellow mitos go down, the main targeter will then direct people together like old hami times and start using $target to point which mitos to kill. Preferably Greens first then Blues. Reason Greens first: well, they will continue to heal blues and the longer it takes to take them down the longer the blues stay up. The longer it takes the more HAMI TAUNT tank has to pop EOE till all mitos are down.
I heard also last night, "how come it's taking longer to take them down tonight?" Well it's a bit tough when everyone is still scattered everywhere like performing mothership raid when we need to be like a doctor taking biopsy of each cancer cells. I'll assign a targeter if I have to next time :P:P I hope someone would rather take charge of the mito damage targetting after YELLOW MITO kill phase.
Thank you thank you hehe Great Raid. -

Nov 14 Sat 9pm EST Blue side HAMI will continue. Teams are EoE farming throughout today. I recommend if you'd like to see a faster HAMI RAID to be there early before the hives full, team up to your respective teams: Hami/mito tank team, Yellow mito damage team 1 & 2, Blue mito distraction team 1 & 2, Green mito hold/damage/targetting teams, and Shadow support team<---if we have them.
Pick up Jet-pack from Jet-pack vendor, no sense wasting time hopping to hit one at a time when you can fly up to melee range of High Mitos.
Prefer to have 12 Bio-Nukes and assign people to who's going to drop 3 on 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th wave. As well as continue EoE farming. The key is EoE's. If we have a load of EoE's to spare we can then consider "the NO-Retreat" Method.
I would like to really thank everyone for a very smooth raid so far. Once started, Hami didn't last even an hour. To consider the NO-Retreat, we'll have to get more comfortable and we'll need someone to be the HEALTH COUNTER and TIMER so that we can coordinate a NUKE DROPS and EOE pop before BLOOM. Squishies only need 1 EOE pop per BLOOM to survive, so in reality since there's 3 blooms, 3 eoe per players with exception of HAMI Taunt tank. Hami Taunt Tank requires him to use EoE's till all MITOs are cleared. So the faster everyone COORDINATES to kill MITOS together the less time HAMI Taunt Tank will rely on popping EOE's.
Hope everyone will enjoy TONIGHTs HAMI RAID.
:P:P:P
PS: Red Side HAMI RAID's sign up list will soon be up! -
Quote:Until the yellow mitos go down, continue to distract blues with range/damage. Once down, I've seen both ways where greens go down first and or blues go down first. Usually, I'd prefer a leader from the green team to take over as lead targeter for mitos and start going thru one mitos at a time, calling out with $target what mitos being targetted, reason: keeps everyone focused, because I saw alot of people in the goo scattered everywhere especially new players thinking going straight to Hami will help damage it before mitos go down. It was a funny yet sad sight to see some having no clue to directions. But attacking preferably greens first then blues would have been nice but the problem last night was greens weren't getting enough HOLD damage. It's okay, soon as you joined in to help, greens died.Is the blue team supposed to continue to concentrate on blue mitos throughout? At one point I thought you said "greens then blues"...do our priorities switch at that point?
Quote:Our team was in the middle of congratulating ourselves on everyone surviving a wave when we were wiped by that evil splash. lol... (Or was that griefers?)
Quote:I also never did find out who was leading Yellow team 1. (We were supposed to be following them) We merely worked our way through the blues clockwise and that seemed to work. -
glad you were there, isn't it funny how alot of new players right under hami have no clue why they were there without the green and blues being down but they were there non-the-less. I'm just glad you all came and helped make this raid possible. thank you again.

Before the Raid begins, we'll take count of how many BIO-NUKEs are available then we'll assign who will drop on what waves. I recommend dedicated scrappers to get bio-nukes since 2 teams of scrappers is what I prefer anyways. that way they can assign within the team who'll drop 3 bio-nukes. Team 1 for example can assign first 3 players for 1st wave and 2nd wave, Team 2 can assign 3 players for 3rd wave and 4th wave. It also cuts down the time for discussion in the HIVE if we all can sort out right here who's gonna do what. If any other players outside of that brings bio nukes then let us know.
-
Quote:Good point, each players should have atleast 4 EoEs to accomplish the no retreat method. Is why EoE farming is soo crucial. I will be leading the tank team (since tanks are the anchor to hami raid) and few on our team are very familiar with the raid. I understand I haven't been around for raiding for the new players / players who moved to higher populated server. Lets just see how directed everyone is. If we wipe on no retreat, it'll be my fault for directing that, and we'll just do it regularly till everyone gets familiar. I thought of that carefully for hours and prefer everyone start to get familiar with that tactic than for people to get too familiar jumping out of goo even before Bloom. I'm more concerned with players who doesn't seem to like directions and think they can go straight to hami. I've seen some pretty funny people who Leroys without taking directions at all. Oh, just remembered, once mitos are killed off, Tanks are to be on the other side of hami while the squishies stay on the other side. Remember, innate gauntlet of tanks will aggro hami/mito aoe splash damage; so for us tanks, remember to stay at taunt range of mitos and for hami tanks to keep hami splash away from squishies.Your going to attempt a no retreat raid on a server that barely can acomplish a regular raid? You can do this with out bio nukes we do it on Justice all the time but it does require tanks that know what they are doing re hami raids........Also this requires every person at the raid to have some EoE's rather then just the tanks as everyone will want to pop and EoE before the bloom.
Why not get normal raids going regularly first before attempting this?
I have run no retreat raids before so i know how to do it i just think it would be better to do it slower untill peeps on freedom have a regular raid crew. -
Please please please...we'll need at least 12 BIO nukes for the whole raid..3 per wave. Be prepared to stay inside the goo while BLOOMING and Start single buff (sb, ab, the tanks, fort-forge the scrapper for example) before BLOOM, AOE/BIO nuke buffs just right before BLOOM. Tanks be prepared to continue inside goo, when bloom, pop EoE. Taunt HAMI and MITO taunters start taunting 2 at a time. Scrappers form back up and be prepared to kill yellow mitos ASAP soon as it BLOOMS. Green team be prepared to find the lowest GREEN MITO and hold it asap when BLOOM. Since we will be right by HAMI as we kill it, it's easier to BUFF right before BLOOM TIME and go right back to killing MITOS rather than jumping out and start COUNTDOWN. Cuts down the time. BUT without BIO NUKES we can't do this, 1 bio nukes +reg 20 players, thus we need 3 drops per wave. TY TY TY ahead of time :P:P:P

I really appreciate those of you signed up, I know few of you can't make both days, and I want to really thank you. Without your interest, this Hami Raid Schedule may not have gone at all.
If you can't make it to one or the other, I'm sure there will be people showing up to the Hive wanting to join in. Quote:Yes, PB and WS does well as dwarf form to taunt Mitos. NOVA does well to kill Blue mitos. There's also few powers both PB and WS has that does well on Hold Damage in short range. Hold Damage in dwarf can't fly for high mitos so if you've built your PB or WS as human form; PB can fly but WS need to pick up Jet-pack at Jet-pack vendor in FBZ.I have a PB if you can use him. Hes more focused on long range Nova blasts, but is built up in Dwarf form also. Let me know if you can fit him in somewhere.
Transcendent - lv50 PB
Used to be that I respec'd my PB from tri form to Human/dwarf above lvl 38. Now you can take advantage of Dual Builds so if you'd like to dedicate one build you may want to consider slotting up Hold Damage powers as well as Taunt in your dwarf.
I'm just more of an advocate of PB and WS though I've seen only few in the hive often when Hami Raiding. Once Yellow mitos are down, normally the green team takes over for targetting to start killing Green / Blue mitos usually green first then blue but i've seen blue go down first as well, Nova/Human can join in on the frey. -
Quote:need you for support if that's okay for friday and something else for saturday?I have a few good characters that could fill in a spot.
For snipe team, I could bring my emp/energy defender - cheap set IO build, can at most keep fortitude on 5 people.
For general support, I have a rad/psy defender - purpled IO build, can keep accelerate metabolism and vengeance (with a sacrifice) on.
I also have a few scrappers for damage - spines/dark (my main) and a soft-capped claws/SR. -
I would like to also open up a discussion so those who are new to HAMI RAID can understand the importance of Single/AOE target buffs prior to running head long into the goo. If any veterans would like to comment on each of the importance to Single Target buff to respective AT builds please share it with us. Also the time the buff lasts.
EG: Single Target buffs - cm, sb, ab, forge etc
Aoe buffs - Am, RA etc.
I've seen too often how players just starts aoe buffing prior to being ask to do so and it's really not conducive for the benefit of all when entering the goo when you didn't have the recharge of your buffs when called for it. Some single buffs in other hand can be done even before it's called for eg, cm and sb. Stacking Cm help blasters for example. So if anyone would like to share it with us here to cut down this discussion before the raid begins in the Hive. I would prefer to share all we know for new players now to cut down the time before the RAID, we all know patience can become weary waiting for raid to begin.
PS: I would love to see 7+ AM and RA on us before we jump in JELLO...come on now it's feasible right? :P:P
Thanx all -
Ty so much to offer to donate EoE's for HAMI on Saturday, yes please bring them. I really want to thank everyone who's offering to donate EoE's ahead of time. :P:P:P I really want to thank all the veteran players to offer their positions to help make HAMI raid enjoyable for lots of new people who's joined Coh. I know HAMI is not as attractive merit wise compared to ITF/LGTF and other TFs we can speed through hardcore but I would really want to thank you so much ahead of time for this to make it fun.
-
That depends on how well everyone is directed and what AT builds are prepared to do their part/purpose to each team they are on. Also, griefing, people who doesn't seem to have patience tend to grief it for others eg: spawning GMs way before we are ready to even begin thus EoE random drops are too small or bringing back Yellow Mito splash unto the main body before we even begin buffing phase before wave begins.
But it's really not hard to correct, hard to grief a raid when everyone does their part. It makes it really enjoyable. Raid I've done went from 46 min to even 6 hours when people were just sparse or leaves after they wipe. Seems some people just can't handle few wipes and get intimidated by HAMI.
Yeah if you can run your toon comfortably to bring up your FPS will help in anyways to not lag the hive zone. I still would like for people to turn off any unnecessary things like aura or whatever but it's really difficult for everyone to conform to that. I do recommend it but I wouldn't put my heart and soul for ALL to follow by. -
