Thanks again Torrent_Wave, nice to hear such things^^

Quote:Ya pretty much what I do, I have a base body mesh that I use across most my characters, then I dress them up differently, and re proportion them when needed.Hey those are cool! Sorry I'm a 3d noob...do you have the figure as a base mesh and just add costume parts to it?
Blender's Sculpt tool is fairly good, it's no where near the quality of Zbrush, but it gets the job done, especially in 2.5.
Some other good resources;

and Youtube is a great source of video tutorials.

Been working on Sapphic Neko, since I already got the permission and she looked fun to do XD
Here's how she's coming along;
(While the image is censored, I'd still call it NSFW)

Quote:Thanks for clearing that up.. I've always wondered why my attempts at stacking PBU Forts failed, even though the power indicator gave the stats of a PBU Fort.. Now I know XDTo explicitly answer your question about prolonging the boost indefinitely by reapplying the shield: this information is wrong. Reapplying the shield will replace the current shield with the new shield (with the exception of the stacking after a zone caveat). Thus, if you have a PBU shield on an ally and a minute into the duration cast a normal shield on the player, it will replace the PBU shield with the normal shield.
The claims that you can perma PBU the shield by refreshing, derive from the fact that the numbers on the buff icon (if you mouse over the shield icon under the health bars) don't always refresh to indicate that it is no longer a PBU shield, but if the player looks under real numbers screen, they will see that the shield has been replaced. -
Looks pretty solid, but like others have said I'd take Fearesome Stare earlier..
I personally frankenslot it for capped recharge, great fear duration and accuracy, and a tad of To-Hit Debuff.. Combined with DN that should bring their to-hit down by around 50%, which is plenty for anything that you'd be trying to solo. Don't forget that Fluffy also debuffs mobs further and you get 5-7% defense from Shadow Fall, pretty much flooring the to-hit chance of anything within a sane level range. (not to mention, teams usually bring some sorta +defense) -
Quote:Given that you're at 26, you are high enough to focus on what makes my D/D feel most effective. Shadow Fall plus either a +stealth IO or super speed. This gives you full invisibility. Make sure you have Darkest night, and slot it with at least 1 or 2 tohit debuffs. Then, run past a couple of spawns of enemies, put Darkest Night on a Lt. or Boss, then run back through the spawns you passed up. Doing this will gather 2-4 spawns together and bring them to you. Before they get there, drop Tar Patch to slow them and cluster them even more. Then, pop out of hiding and just hit the full spawn with Tenebrous Hentaicles and Nightfall over and over until they are dead.
I do this often on both my Dark/Dark Defender and Fire/Dark Corr, and it works wonders.. However, be weary of any potential mezzers in the mob group.. An unlucky mez on you will totally ruin your day in situations like that. Especially pre-fluffy. -
I like it very much, the shading is excellent!

Thanks folks, glad to hear all your support^^
Quote:Thank you for the interest, however, at this time, I am only really interested in doing females.. I'm also quite iffy on which requests I take, but maybe some day XDI'd love to see you take on Rider 00 sometime XD but I can't afford to repay you in anyway until I get my scanner working if you wouldn't mind doing an art trade...of course, I must warn you I'm only good with Chibs.
It's quite steep.. Blows programs like Photoshop out of the water in the learning curve department. However, since it is totally free, I encourage anyone to check it out. You have nothing to lose! Also, one should also know their way around GIMP or Photoshop, if you want any decent textures. -

Wow, I've never before gotten such an in-depth analysis, thank you for taking the time to do that, it means a lot to me^^
Quote:Lowering the wings from between the shoulderblades to the lower back above the hips does a lot to change the way the character poses and how she comes across to me. If the wings were high you get a much grander sense of self, like a certain arrogance in that the wings are a greater functioning cape. With the wings lower like they are on her you get a much more intense sense of seduction and coy playfulness, like they're part of a dress or extra inviting arms.
I completely agree with you, and wish we had wings attached to the lower torso region in Coh.. Although I am grateful we got wings at all so I'm not complaining.
I like female demons with lower wings, and male with wings higher up, for the very reason you've stated. -
Thank you, glad you think so^^
And I'll keep that in mind XD -
Heya folks.
I've been using a program called Blender for a few months now, which allows 3D modeling and all that good stuff..
Lately I've been reimagining some of my CoH toons, and rebuilding them in Blender. So I figured this would be a good place to show case them XD
My first one is based off of my Dark/Dark Defender, Suffress... The finished product is quite different from anything we can make in CoH, but the idea still stemmed from my CoH Toon.

My latest one, which I just finished, is based off a custom setup which I often use (I notoriously recycle my costumes XD). She's a little closer to what you'd find in CoH, but I felt silly constraining myself to only what you'd find in the game.

Thanks you for taking a look, and let me know what you think!
Cheers. -
Well, for now you can design a "sidekick" and add him/her into an AE mission arc or something.. Not exactly what you were asking for, but probably the closest you'll ever get to having one.
-
Quote:I tend to do that as well, seems to be quite reliable.I target in the back just because it helps my aim (especially with melee cones). Everyone between me and the target's getting hit. It's easier for me to visualize than extending beyond a close enemy.
I visualize it as "everything between me and him, within Cone X, should get hit" -
It also doesn't hurt to ask the people in-game what they are referring to..CoX players are generally a lot more mature than most MMO players, and will probably give you a straight answer.
I'd personally rather someone ask me, and clarify, than assume, get it wrong, and make a fool out of themselves/both of us. -
Glad you got everything sorted out^^
However;
Quote:Are you sure on this? I've had 3 master accounts (and all CoH) on a single card before, with no issues.. That's buying everything from booster packs to slots for them as well.. Though they didn't like it if I did several transactions in a day.I was going to mention that NCSoft does not allow a credit card to purchase anything if it is already tied to 2 accounts.
I don't know why, but it happened to me when I tried to buy an expansion for a friend of mine.
By the way, your siggy is hella addictive ;P -
Quote:Okay that was just epic XDThat's because his landing counts as an attack which suppresses his travel power, so he switches to Combat Jumping real quick and proceeds to SMASH. Because Hulk just want to be left alone so his travel power will un-suppress.
And I also like the suggested idea here.. Especially if it came with some nifty graphics as well. Such as the "Crater Smash" power leaving behind some cracks on the ground, or whatnot. -
Quote:Pretty much the same here..All my characters are set to "Looking for any" pretty much all the time when I'm playing. I only flag to not accept invites when I'm doing something that's timed, then I change it back to white. Also all my characters have the same thing in the field: Primary/Secondary and "I don't do AE".
I team pretty much constantly, as I find solo boring.. So my flag is usually set to "Looking for Any", and I list my primary and secondary in the comment field, along with some other stuff.. Usually a redundant "lft".
If I do happen to be invited to an AE team I usually do a single run, then politely leave, unless they are doing a good arc and not farming. -
LOL, and that quote comes from Fallout 3, where a narrator says that during the introduction.

Quote:Just for giggles, I ran the Freakshow War arc through Ouro yesterday on my (then) 37 Traps / Dark. Honestly, it wasn't particularly tough on -1 / 8. I wasn't setting any land speed records, but I got ~ 11 bars' worth of XP and enough merits for a couple rolls (33 from the arc, 9 already banked).
Sounds pretty good to me.. I don't care about land speed records or any of that stuff anymore, just as long as its fun.. I really liked the diversity of traps and how your could use it in so many ways to reach the same goal.. Much more appealing than "Run in, hit Shield Charge, punch boss dead, rinse, repeat"
Quote:I think Traps has a spotty reputation with a big chunk of the playerbase because, outside of FFG and the lulzy Triage Beacon, it's very, very tough to get a good sense of what a trapper brings to a team. But if you take one out for a spin, and work in some +recharge bonuses and Leadership toggles (Traps is not particularly end-draining, so I can manage to run all three toggles), it's easy to see how effective it is.
Also, does anyone know if the Defender's new inherent effects stuff like Trip Mine? I doubt it, since they are a pet entity, but just thought I'd ask. -
Quote:I've been wanting to try a Traps Defender lately, now that I've gotten over the PGT nerf (ya, I held onto that grudge for a long time ;P)I've been playing a Traps / Dark the last little while; I like it a lot.
With traps, you can do silly things with procs, and you can nail mobs in place using Tentacles to make sure the mobs keep on getting nailed by said procs.
Life's gotta suck if you're standing on Caltrops (two damage procs), getting nailed by Acid Mortar (-resistance, and hold procs), being gased out (two damage procs, can't afford the third, waiting for 50 on the fourth), and you're being hentaied by Tentacles.
This sounds like a fun combo that I would like.. Especially nice for when I'm on late and its rough picking up a team.
I can foresee /Dark's self-heal being mildly useful as well. -
Quote:Backwards, actually - all pets (and pseudopets like Blizzard count) have the +300% (400% total) damage cap rather than the +400% cap for Blasters and Corruptors. It's also why Lightning Rod and Shield Charge don't work as well as they should for Brutes.
Ahh I see, guess I had it backwards then XD
Thanks for clearing that up! -
Aye they've been broken for quite a long time now.. Since around the time inventions came out I think?
-
The only time my Darky turns off Shadow Fall is if there's already a huge abundance of defensive buffs going on in the team.. In which case it's just draining my End for little return.
-
Dark/Dark Defender is a great (albiet slightly slow) soloer, and matures fairly quickly.
While I haven't made a traps/ Defender yet, my Sonic/Traps Corr was a hoot.. Had most of the bases covered, and a widely varied play style that you could switch on the dime..
Wanna just charge the mob head on? Send in your Seekers, stun the LT with Sonic's stunning blast, plop down a Mortar, then lay waste..
Wanna be a bit more strategic? Lay a few trip mines around the corner along with a mortar, find a 'big bad boss', drag him in and watch him melt as he walks through your land fill. (that one takes a bit of time to set up, but I had a blast doing it).
Wanna be sneaksie? Get Stealth, and toebomb away! PGT+Acid Mortar+Trip mine on top of a clueless posse is good fun.
I pretty much dealt with every spawn in a different way, which kept me quite entertained.
